Strategic importance of resources

Inside the NPC city of Mumbai,

The streets of Mumbai city were bursting with activity. A lot of adventure game mode players were trading with each other as well as recruiting new players. The city had a lively atmosphere.

When Aarv arrived at the teleportation hall he was shocked to find no one except for himself in the entire structure. The teleportation cost of the hall was 10 gold per time and nobody could afford such a cost this early in the game.

Aarv looked around for a while and then headed towards the already arranged meeting place for his allies. When he reached the meeting place, aarv saw a restaurant with a majestic look up ahead. In that restaurant, everything from the tableware to the building itself was made out of silver.

As he entered the restaurant, he saw a beautiful waitress coming to him and asked respectfully,

"Good afternoon sir, How may I help you…"

Aarv replied,

"We already have room no. 32 reserved. You just have to take me there."

The waitress felt quite shocked, this was the 26th person that was going to room no. 32. Although the private rooms were designed to have at least 30 people inside, it was still an amazing feat in such a high-end restaurant.

After the waitress showed the way, aarv soon reached the pre-planned meeting point. As he opened the door he saw 25 people of different ages inside the room with serious faces. He looked around while trying to guess the situation but soon he heard a sweet voice from a corner.

"Aarv is here…"

As soon as the voice spread across the room, every person in the room glanced at the new person that just arrived inside the room. When they saw who the person was, their tense atmosphere soon relaxed.

"Aarv babu…"

"Aarv, sir…"

Everyone in the room greeted Aarv respectfully.

Aarv received their greeting with a warm smile. The people in front of him were his father's trusted allies. He soon reached the table and sat down in the host position. He then asked in a normal voice.

"What happened…? Why are you all so tense..?"

To which, a young man with a serious face replied,

"Aarv sir, the sun entertainment entered the game yesterday and invested in your cousin's territory. They gave him 500 gold coins as an investment. We are already behind your cousin and if they get extra support, it will be hard for us to develop inside the game."

"Hmm… "

Aarv nodded as he waved his hand. Soon 1000 gold coins dropped on the table in front of everyone.

Looking at the pile of gold coins, everyone started breathing heavily. They knew that to acquire 500 gold coins, Sun Entertainment had invested 50 million dollars in the game and barely managed to get the coins and now 1000 gold coins were in front of them like it was nothing.

Aarv looked at the shocked faces with a grin and continued,

"Money is not an issue anymore… Now let's talk about the development of our village. What do we need to develop our village…?"

He asked a probing question to the crowd. He knew that the future development of the village was dependent on the people in front of him.

Soon the debate began. A lot of people started their reasoning.

"For any village people are most important…."

"You are wrong, we need security. secure villages last longer and attract more people…"

"No, we need money…"

A lot of answers came from different directions, but not a single one of them managed to convince Aarv. Suddenly a female voice came from the corner,

"We need resources both natural as well as human resources…"

"Oho…"

Aarv surprisingly looked in the direction of the voice. He saw Prahi looking at him with confidence…

"Explain…"

Aarv nodded at Prahi and asked her to elaborate.

"Natural resources act as liquid assets to a state while human resources act as a development force for any civilization… because of the resources, art and culture will develop, giving chance to upgrade our village faster..."

Prahi explained her reasoning and people around her started praising her. Aarv too also praised her very generously.

"Very good… Now let's talk about why I choose to set my territory in the region of murud."

"First of all, it is closest to the city of Mumbai, a big NPC city. Where we can recruit or trade with other people. Secondly, it is closest to Thane where bauxite was first found. It is also closest to Sindhudurg district where Iron ore was found in history."

Aarv knew that the Thane region had a lot of bauxite ore which was an essential ore for the production of aluminium as well as some other chemical reactions in metallurgy. Aluminium was a metal that was foreign to ancient people. If he was able to get hold of aluminium, he had an easy way to earn money in the game.

There was also a third reason. But Aarv did not specify the reason to the public. He knew that in the ocean near Mumbai there was a small reservoir of crude oil and natural gas. If he could get his hands on this reservoir, he could easily expand his territory.

"All 25 of you will now teleport back to our territory. We will discuss the remaining matters there."

After saying that aarv stood up and left the room. While leaving he hinted Prahi to follow after him.

After leaving the restaurant, Aarv waited for Prahi outside the restaurant. After Prahi saw Aarv outside, she waved at him.

"Yo Aarv… what happened…"

She was quite shy asking Aarv why he was meeting him in private. Aarv looked at Prahi and continued with his explanation,

"Some things cannot be said in front of everyone, Let us talk somewhere private…"

Aarv said while walking in the direction of another restaurant.
