It was Saturday afternoon and I was pacing my office, dreading our company pulling into the driveway.
Just because I had agreed to meet with Myles, didn't mean I had to like it. I felt like I was going to vomit as I watched the car come to a stop in the driveway from the second story window. Maybe I could convince Brad to let me use his flamethrower. Just for the evening.
I groaned to myself and nervously pulled my hair into a loose bun on the back of my head. Time to do this.
I opened the front door and was nearly tackled to the ground by my sister as she dove in for a hug. "Morgan!" She pulled away and looked up at me. "Thank you for inviting us to dinner. Is everyone else here?"
"Aaren is working late, but Brad and Selene are in the kitchen helping Rosie finish dinner."
She clapped her hands together and stepped out of the way to let Myles in. "I'm going to go say hello," she looked at Myles and then me. "You boys play nice."
