Lurking in shadows
Percy laid back on the school roof watching the crimson sky. The sun sank in the distance and the air grew colder.
The school roof is where the students come to eat lunch during lunch or just skip class. There are benches and guard rails for safety also there is a small storage room for extra cleaning supplies. Everything was peaceful, the birds flew over with their wings fluttering and Percy lay there comfortably.
Percy remembers that the Nagumo guy had his face when he watched Adrie. That face was edged into his mind, that face of unadulterated, lust and need to control her that didn't sit well with him. As the place grew darker and the train could be heard in the distance, Percy's comfort was ruined by the thought of Nagumo's intentions with his friend which worried him.
"Nagumo huh," said Percy, "Let's find out more about him shall we"
The silence helps them relax then he begins to think about Adrie and his reaction toward Nagumo.
"This has to stop" Percy irritated
"I don't care he is if hurts her, I will kill—" Percy stuttered
BANG!!!
"GET THE HELL UP !!!" Adrie screamed
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!" Percy screamed
"What do you mean," Adrie asked
"YOU KICKED DOWN ANOTHER FREAKIN DOOR" Percy yelled
"So what?" Adrie asked
Percy was completely dumfounded after that last question
"So, what's wrong?" asked Adrie
"She acts like nothing happened" Percy whispered to himself
"What was that?" Adrie asked
"Wait. are you still mad about what happened in class," Adrie asked.
"Oh, thanks for reminding me, WHAT HELL WHY DID YOU THAT" Percy angrily
"Because I can" Adrie replied
Percy was again dumfounded by that statement
"So, what's up," Adrie asked
"You're so annoying" Percy grumbled
"What was that?" Adrie asked
"Nothing, anyway what are you planning to do about that guy," Percy asked
"That guy, oh you mean Nagumo," Adrie said
"Yeah, that paedophile bastard" Percy scornfully
At the same moment, Nagumo sneezed
"I think she's talking about me" Nagumo happily
"He's not a paedophile he's our age" Adrie angrily
"He looked like 25 how you couldn't see that," Percy said then sat up not even looking at Adrie
"What are you wait Percy are jealous?" Adrie asked
"HAHAHA" Percy laughed, "Why would I be jealous of a talking gorilla which seems to problem with doors" Percy still laughing
Percy felt a chill, he then turned toward Adrie. Adrie's hair turned grey hair with pink edges stood up in the air and a white aura glowed over her brown skin also her usually silver eyes were completely blank. She rushed towards him so fast he barely had time to react then she punched him in the face sending him to the opposite end of the roof into the guard rail which was five feet away.
"I deserved that" Percy moaned
"Jerk," Adrie said blushing
"Hey, come to my house tonight" Adrie tenderly
"Hell no!" Percy instantly
"You didn't even think about it!!" Adrie screamed
"Your parent freak me out" Percy cringed
"They're fine, wait did you just cringe?" Adrie agitated
"No" Percy looked away
"Look at me when you're talking to me!!" Adrie yelling
From a building 3 meters away a strange person watching them closely suddenly their phone rings.
"Yes boss" the person answers
"How is he?" Boss asked
"Does he look sorrowful?" the boss asked
"He doesn't," the person said, "he looks quite happy with his girlfriend"
"Really" Boss depressed, "Keep an eye on him"
"Okay, By the way, some other guys are watching them as well so what do about it?" the person asked
"Nothing, just keep your eyes on him," the boss said
"You're the boss," The person said
"Just how strong are you Percy Nakamura?" The person wondered
The sun sunk even lower in the distance as it began to grow darker as Percy and Adrie walk home.
"I can't believe you talked me into this" Percy complained
"You can't just leave a defenceless girl like me just walk home alone in the dark" Adrie remarked
"You can kick down a freak in the metal door and you practice martial arts therefore your whole body is a weapon also you have a powerful ability so I quote "you're defenceless" " Percy sarcastically
Adrie was completely dumfounded after that statement
"Also, I'm dropping you halfway," Percy said
"What? Why?" Adrie asked
"Firstly, because I can" Percy stated
"Petty much?" Adrie asked
"Very much so, secondly your parents freak me out" Percy calmly explained
"Stop complaining come on," Adrie said
"Fine I'm right behind you" Percy sighed
As Adrie turned around Percy tried to dash into the shadows but he heard a loud cracking sound. Percy turned around to see Adrie cracking her knuckles.
"On second thought I will walk you home" Percy agreed
"Good choice" Adrie menacingly
As they walk Percy notices someone watching them. The person dipped into the shadows of the alleyway.
"Percy" Adrie called
"I'm coming women" Percy responded
