Erzon Introduced

The world of Erzon is divided into two massive continents. An enormous body of water called Maren splits Varza and Garun. Varza, to the east, is the land of dungeons and forests. The southern half of the continent is covered in a seemingly unending sea of green. The Unending Forest, called Verdan, is home to the faeries and elves. The northern half of Varza is home to the humans and dwarves. Myriad dungeons are scattered across the continent.

The human kingdom of Chron lies just outside the border of Verdan. One of Chron's most prosperous cities is called Aeom, and it is here that Alexander Vir was reborn.

Alex was born to a beautiful woman named Emilia Vir. The daughter of a merchant, she was intelligent, decisive, and ruthless in business. After inheriting her father's company, she quickly made enough profit to live comfortably for the rest of her life. After marrying, she turned the company over to her younger brother.

Her husband is the Greek god of War, Ares. With short, crimson hair and scars decorating his well-built body, he can always be seen with a joyful smile on his face. Together with Emilia, he spends his days leisurely and without a care in the world.

Gods in the world of Erzon typically live in Caelum, an enormous floating city above Maren. However, they love journeying out into the world of mortals. Many deities on these journeys succumb to their lust and leave numerous children in their wake. Half-sibling demi-gods are a dime a dozen.

In stark contrast to this behavior, Ares is monogamous. As an immortal, he is faithful to his partner until the day they die.

Alex, who had learned about the gods of Greek myth in school, had always pictured Ares as an angry, sword-swinging slaughterer of men. No one would ever believe that the God of War was a kind-faced young man who loved spending time with his wife and child. But that is the reality of the situation.

From the moment he was born, Alex made a conscious effort to act as a child befitting his age. After his initial cursing, no other incidents drew unnecessary attention.

Inexplicably, he was unable to use any of his skills. But because none of the neighborhood children were capable of using skills either, he decided it was normal. He was frustrated, but he didn't ask any questions that would arouse suspicion. However, at his 4th birthday, he learned why.

"Ares, it's only one year until our cute baby boy gets to be baptized!"

"Mommy, why do I have to baptized?"

"Oh, sweetheart, everyone's skills are locked at birth until their baptism. It's to keep cute children safe."

"Emilia! Let's go celebrate our son's birthday!"

"Dad where are we going?"

"Oh ummm you can't come."

With that, they locked themselves in their bedroom and didn't come out until the next day. Alex wondered if he would soon have a younger sibling.
