CHAPTER 21: THE OVERTH OF THE KING

His fear lies in his own conscience, he knows that, being so fragile unlike them, however, they are so dangerous, that his life alone is a danger.

The king turns all his hatred towards them and intends to charr those gathered alongside the wounded.

DRAKO approaches with swift steps towards the wounded.

Among them is PANDORA and RYU, helping to heal the wounded along with a hundred other different species.

The king's arrival is thunderous, he arrives accompanied by his eldest sons, who already know of the death of his sisters and bring with them the little TIFON, still unconscious and wounded.

DRAKE, the eldest, approaches RYU and reaches out to him having TIFON with him.

RYU understands, drake approaches, puts TIFON in RYU's arms and tells him that this is the life he must take care of from now on.

RYU's heart is broken from seeing his little sister injured, bathed in dry blood who, because of her smell, knows she's not hers.

No doubt from one of his sisters.

He walks away from there, with the little girl in his arms.

PANDORA doesn't know what to do, she just watches him walk away without even turning to see her and she doesn't dare utter a word.

He just feels his heart shrink.

There's a terrible silence.

All citizens have stood still, never before, no one came to see King DRAKO with that mettle full of anger.

Full of hate.

Not even when he came to fight with the enemy army of dragons or with ANCALAGON himself.

The king sees with contempt the wounded, identifying among them hundreds of humans, of all ages, mostly young people.

The king turns around and in a stern voice declares that all humans will be sacrificed for the sin of their wicked nature.

This statement makes all the wounded tense, not just humans who see with disbelief who was a benevolent king.

It's disturbed all species.

Such a direct order from the king is the law.

They look at each other, in fear.

Several dragons, including the king's sons, line up surrounding the wounded, intimidating them with only their presence.

King DRAKO asks them to separate citizens from the other species for slaughter.

Hysteria does not wait, in truth the king will eliminate humans from the existing kingdom.

Few other species stay by the side of humans.

The king declares that, if they stay there, then it is their decision to die too.

Fearful humans turn away from the other wounded, trembling, hugging the little ones.

When they are set apart, King DRAKO gives the order, the dragons surround humans.

Just when they take strength to expel their fire. You hear a sharp stop them.

From among the remains of the castle, a new phoenix emerges, it is Councillor YONGHÉNG, who died and was reborn from his own ashes.

With a young body again, he orders them to stop.

Not all humans are cruel, not everyone committed sin.

It is King DRAKO who turns his wrath on YONGHÉNG, throwing out brays of hatred at him.

YONGHÉNG tells him that he does not speak to him as a councillor.

He speaks to you as your friend of all these millennia.

He's not thinking clearly.

He must hope, in order to think as king, what he must do to rebuild the kingdom, he must also think as a father, how to comfort his family, rather than sow the same hatred of him in them.

The king bursts into anger, walking menacingly towards humans, he will destroy them, the other dragons look at him in amaze.

The king has lost his sanity.

In front of the king is PANDORA, who has been embraced by a human woman, who is losing her life recharged in her body.

Everyone realizes something happened, there's something wrong with the girl.

However, the councillors do not change their minds about her, she is a child.

RYU is not present, however, the girl's gaze seeks him supplicantly and at the same time nostalgic, squeezing her lips, in a very resigned attitude, she looks in the direction where RYU went, one of the few parts of the castle that is still standing.

PANDORA is really scared, before RYU saved her, she wouldn't have minded dying, in fact, she wanted it, now... you just want to be able to see it one more time... at least say goodbye to him.

The king's piercing gaze rests on her.

The king blames the child for bringing misfortune to the kingdom.

Somehow it must be a curse that brought with her when DWYER brought her into the kingdom.

If she had never come, her family would still be alive.

The kingdom would not have been destroyed.

The bad seed would not have been planted in humanity.

Somehow she has to be the cause.

YONGHÉNG speaks to him, tells him that it is not possible for him to blame a small human for the misfortune that fell upon the kingdom.

The king himself knew that the castle was within a large area, one of the most powerful and wanted the castle there to keep a close eye on the area.

If I blamed someone, then it should be him.

DRAKO releases a pawn to the phoenix, which it throws to one side.

Before reaching the ground, she takes the flight and stands between the girl and the king, who darted towards PANDORA, the girl has run out into the ruins of the castle in search of RYU.

King DRAKO threatens YONGHÉNG to declare him a traitor if he protects humans.

Lung and TEN, dragon leader and Kitsune leader, are currently approaching, rushing to stop the fight.

The king, blind with anger, asks them to withdraw from there, otherwise he will kill them too.

YONGHÉNG declares that the king is no longer eligible for office.

These words profoundly hurt DRAKO, who looks at them furiously.
