Pandomonium University: The Beginning

Kera was devastated! She failed at shifting and was rejected by her mate, a packless beast after the mating ritual. At the University they attended, her father had him expelled but it was too late. Pregnant with his child she took four years off to get a fresh start. Looking forward to her first day of a new and bright future, who would have guessed that the two Alpha's of different clans would set off the start of pandomonium on campus that day. The Naga Clan and Werewolf Clan have been at odds for territory all over the globe for centuries! With corporations, properties, and various resources accumulated over the centuries of war with each other few are as wealthy as them. Who will she chose after her heart was broken? As an Alpha Pan-Were female, a direct descendant from the first Pan-Were, is she cursed to never shift? Or will her true mate cause her to shift? The Old Ways seem to be coming back for Kera and is she prepared to handle it when it changes everything she believed in.

Aura

Silverstein and Drake lock eyes.

I try to pull my arm from both of them but they are paying me no attention.

"Let go!" I say.

"You heard her, Silverstein. Let Go," Drake says.

"You're deeply confused if you think a snake can take my mate," Silverstein snarls.

At this point, I had enough. I couldn't force them off of me but something deep down inside of me begins to boil as my anger and fear took over, "I said let go!"

Without warning both Drake and Silverstein flew back and hit the wall behind them. I ran towards the Art Department afraid to look back.

I ran into my Aunt's office and shut the door locking it. Not that locks made much of a difference on this campus, it was for insurance purposes. I hugged myself until I heard the door unlock.

"My, your aura is so dark. What is the matter my sweet child?" my Aunt said closing the door behind her.

"I think...I think... I found my mate or mates? Auntie I'm so confused." I started crying.

"Oh dear... I feared this day would come." She patted me on the back as I sobbed.

"Why? I was rejected by my mate... How is THIS even possible?" I remembered the pain of the mating ritual but what was worse was that I was rejected afterwards by my mate because I couldn't shift. Even worse, he took my roommate as his new mate and flaunted it in my face for weeks until my father had them both expelled from the University.

My father wasn't the dean but he has worked here longer than anyone and could be due to being apart of the Alpha Pan-Were family. My father just wasn't interested in such power and left that position to others in the clan up to the task.

"This is the fate of a strong pan-were." my Aunt said.

"How am I strong when I can't shift?" I looked at her pleading.

"My dear child, so much is laid before you and I can only guide you so far. You are a Pan-Were as your mother was before you as the women of our clan not many can shift do you know why?" my Aunt asked.

My tears started to subside, I knew she was trying to make me feel better, "We have only one mate."

"That is correct. Unless you have more than one mate it's impossible for us to shift. We go through a painful mating process with each mate but with it comes another form that we shift to. I know your original mate was indeed unworthy and in this life the Goddess will surely bless you with a worthy if not multiple worthy mates who are strong that will help you raise your son to be a fine were-beast who will never abandon his mate." My aunt pats my back.

"What if I only want one mate?" I ask remembering the pain from mating the first time.

"It's your choice my dear. Do know males are very...pushy when it comes to this. Also if you deny the Goddess you are also denying yourself." my aunt reminds me. I sigh. I know she is right. She is the clans Spiritual Leader for a reason. I hug her and she hugs me back.

"I will pick up my favorite youngster while you go and relax. I will bring him to daycare tomorrow." She says then opens the door.

No work was done today but my Aunt is like this. She runs the Art Department and if she says go home. She means go home. I walk towards Engineering Department to catch a ride with my dad when two familiar faces can be seen following me.

I immediately recognize both faces.
