Xia Weiyang was surprised by Shi Jue's words.

She did not feel like talking to him that morning.

"Haha!" Shi Jue suddenly laughed. His laughter filled the room.

Xia Weiyang's face darkened as she glared at him.

However, when she saw the smile on Shi Jue's face, her anger quickly disappeared again. His smile looked pure and innocent. It was very different from his usual cold expression.

Shi Jue smiled like he was a kid again.

Xia Weiyang felt happy after seeing his smile.

After washing and tidying up, Xia Weiyang and Shi Jue left the bedroom and headed downstairs.

As they approached the staircase entrance, they saw Shi Xun and his great-grandchildren.

The main courtyard was Shi Jue's residence. Even though the other people had their own courtyards, they still ate together. Also, the dining hall was next to the main courtyard. They had to pass through the main courtyard or enter through the side door of the main courtyard to reach the dining hall.

"Mommy!" Du Du's eyes widened when she saw Xia Weiyang. She happily waved at her.

Shi Xun gently put down Du Du so she could run to her mother.

Instantly, Du Du ran towards Xia Weiyang with her short legs. However, before she could pounce on Xia Weiyang, Shi Jue suddenly hugged her and picked her up.

Shi Jue carried Du Du. She immediately glared at Shi Jue when their eyes met. "Baby, you only like mommy. Don't you like daddy?" Shi Jue said.

"Du Du also likes daddy!" Du Du rolled her eyes and smiled. She then reached out and grabbed Shi Jue's face to give him a kiss on the forehead.

Shi Jue sensed that his forehead was wet because of Du Du's kiss. The corners of his lips curled up into a smile.

He then leaned closer and kissed Du Du on her cheeks.

Du Du smiled as she looked at Shi Jue.

Shi Jue and Xia Weiyang then went downstairs and greeted Shi Xun, who was looking at Du Du with a sorrowful expression.

"Good morning, grandfather!" Xia Weiyang looked at Shi Jue and Du Du with a loving expression. She then smiled at Dian Dian.

"Good morning," Shi Xun replied.

Out of the corner of his eye, Shi Xun inadvertently caught a glimpse of Xia Weiyang. He saw a few dark red marks on her neck. Suddenly, a smile appeared on his face.

Xia Weiyang felt a bit uncomfortable after sensing that Shi Xun was looking at her. She had no idea what the old man saw.

She wanted to know why Shi Xun suddenly smiled.

If she saw herself in a mirror, she would immediately know what Shi Xun saw.

"It seems like I'll have more great-grandchildren soon!" Shi Xun suddenly said. He then bent down to pick up Dian Dian and walked towards the dining room.

Dian Dian struggled in Shi Xun's arms. He was not used to being carried. He glared at the old man unhappily.
