CHAPTER 10

The envoy left the place on the horse and was followed by three knights. The knight was angry at the treatment and looked at his lord and asked, "Why are you stooping down to him lord Polo?"

Polo laughed and said, "Do you think I am a fool to make that monster my enemy or do you think the king is a fool to have chosen me, Sir Tom?"

Tom stuttered and said, "I am sorry lord but he is just a baron and now is just a viscount and you are the son of a duke."

Polo took a deep breath and said, "He is the great beast of Castamere."

Tom could not believe it, "Are you saying that he is that one?"

Polo said, "Yes. We do not know where he gets his power from but the factor remains that he is from our kingdom. Maybe he may have inherited some school of teaching or some hidden religion but the fact remains that he is strong. He was faced by twenty knights and 500 soldiers dressed as bandits. Out enemy kingdom wanted to have him removed as he flooded the market with cheap but high-quality food. Do you understand what it feels to us old nobles when the food that can only be eaten by the patriarch of our families is sold for a copper coin in the market. He single-handedly killed the force against him and he did not even think the possibility that they were knights as they were too weak for him. The knights who observed him found that every move was taken to the extreme and the combat was purely based on reflex. He is what is known as a pure extreme knight. Such beings have reached the epitome of martial arts and have conquered their bodies. The ones who reach this stage are old men and they are not strong. Now we have found the answer to the question, what happens when a young man breaks through extreme martial arts. He is strong enough and the food he flooded in the market would have collapsed the kingdom if not for the prime minister who saw through it. We could only but it with all our money and feed all the soldiers so that we can win the war and plunder more gold and resources from our enemy. With his personal strength, the soldiers he trained, the friends he made due to trade, the nobles who secretly support him and the amount of food he has, he will surely rise to the position of a marquis during war and may even rise to the position of a duke. Do you understand the power of a founding marquis, it is equivalent to the crown prince. We can only try to bind to us showing goodwill. No matter whichever country he goes, he will become a lord. He is a born lord."

Tom asked, "Why don't we kill him? He cannot be believed and he may even rebel against the king."

Polo scoffed and said, "All the lords will rebel one day or another. My family will rebel tomorrow if we can get the thrones. The king cannot kill him and cannot fight against him. The only thing he can do is to try to bind to him. Maybe we will fall into civil war. It will take a lot of knights to kil him and he cannot be killed as the market has been slowly eroded by him. We can only try to fight outside and take other kingdoms. This is a pure war between two king. The current king and the newly rising one. Both of them will fight outside to divert the civil war till the limit is reached and then the whole kingdom will fall into civil war."

Tom asked, "Them why don't you support him."

Polo said, "We will support him. We will decided it after how he performs in the war. The most important thing for a king is the ability to lead a war. Let us hope he is better otherwise this kingdom will fall into pure destruction as both the kings will have their own region of speciality."

Roger still sat on the throne and asked, "Can we believe the soldiers?"

Henry said, "They are more like slaves. They will only follow the one who is given to. They cannot work with intrigue at all. They are forcibly made to not learn and made dumber so that they cannot participate in political fights. If they say that they will follow you, they will follow you."

Roger said, "Train such that they are at the frontlines. I want them consumed."

Henry said, "They can be believed."

Roger said, "I prefer my own soldiers."

Henry said, "The ones trained may run away if the king gives an order but these soldiers will be only following their lord. They will purely be under you."

Roger said, "The you can take them under you. Let the other knights train more commoners."

Henry said, "Will it be too much power?"

Roger asked, "You know my power and have seen me destroy a hill. What makes you think that I am weak against such soldiers. What makes you think that you can feed them? Even if you feed them, what will happen, you may become their leader and lead them but you will be hundred times poorer than you are now. You can take them under you. You are the one I believe till now."

Henry bowed and said, "Yes sir."

Roger said, "You can train the new soldiers with the idea of what I taught you."

Henry said, "Yes sir."

Roger waved his hands and Henry left. Roger sat there thinking what had happened. He did not have to worry and just had to show off his full power. The power will be shown off and he will be like a lord. All the nobles will support him and he will take down 2 kingdoms on his own. Since the king has made his move he decided to make a bigger move. He decided to let soap be spread at lower rate as he hated smelly people and decided to let the paper be spread as he wanted smart people to be under him. He will teach them all and educate them. The more learnt and stronger the commoners are, harder is it for a king to rule and only he will be able to rule them and they will understand the truth and accept him.

Roger rode the horse fast enough to reach the pole. He tried through various sides to find that there was no way to get to the other side and this continent and other continent was isolated from other sides. He took a lot of seawater and did not have to worry. Roger decided that his kingdom will be named the Jordan he decided to attack the northern isles as they are closer to the sea. As the speed of ships at this age depended on the wind it would be hard to control the direction and speed. It will also be hard to drive one all alone and he did not want others to know too much about his power.

Roger decided about the future and decided to return to his land. He just had to wait for the war. As he was travelling back he thought about catching a whale. It would be hard as they are the strongest one and they are underwater. He could not breath underwater but he could defeat them if he wanted. Roger decided to fight for the throne of the world as it would be easy for him to take over the world as he was absolutely strong and he would be able to reach all over the world in due time.

Roger decided to do so and returned to his land. He went and returned to his castle. He just had to wait for the war and there was really nothing that was fun in this world. He really hoped that the next time he would be able to be reborn in a modern world as he will be able to have a lot of fun in the modern world. He could read a lot of new novels and he could understand and watch new movies. This world was boring and there was no beacon of spiritual pleasure.

Roger decided to create a new slogan for himself. He decided to rename his kingdom to Sparta so that he could call his soldiers Spartans. He also thought that the term Spartans and Romans would be interesting to be called on the battlefield. He could call them "Spartans" and they will answer him. But none of them were strong enough to be called Romans or Spartans as they were weak. The identity of both Roman and Spartan was due to spiritual belief and power.

Roger decided to let them become strong but it was hard. They are nothing more than people who just wanted to live their own lives. These people were too calm for medieval people. He had read that they were barbarians and did not have much culture. Although these people were barbaric in certain ideas they were civilized in morals and their ideas. But again, he was the fool here to try to understand the history of his world from experiencing the medieval world of a parallel world.
