"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Tobi! Happy birthday to you!" I sang heartily from the comfort of my bed, into the speaker of my phone.
"Thank you, babe. You know, your voice isn't as bad as you usually make it out to be. If you actually invest yourself in vocal training, you would sound even better," He said.
"Tobi, how did your freaking birthday song get turned into an opportunity to give me a singing lecture?" I sighed, facepalming.
"Sorry, sorry! I get carried away sometimes," He chuckled nervously.
"It's okay. So what are you planning for today? Are you going out? Is your mom doing anything special for you?" I asked, excited deep inside because I knew I already had something special for him.
"Nothing really. I might just stay in or go out with Michael and some of my friends. My siblings are in school so if I decide to stay home, it would be relatively quiet," He replied after a brief pause.
