"Thank you for telling me the whole truth" Avril got up from her seat and found her way to the door. She had to go before the tears started rolling down her cheeks.
She has been mad at Ariel all the time, thinking Ariel was the one forcing herself on Carter even when she found out Carter cheated on her, but it wasn't Ariel.
Carter was the one.
Ariel's words were too heavy for her ears to carry, it weighed too much and was piercing her soul so she wanted to leave before the tears started rolling down her cheeks.
Avril wouldn't let Ariel see her cry, she has never done it before. She still doesn't know if she should thank Ariel for making the mating ceremony between her and Carter unsuccessful last night.
She was still going to talk to Carter to know whether the mating ceremony between them would work out again because they were still going to redo it, since it didn't go successful last night.
But the one thing Avril knew was that she still loved Carter and was never going to let him go. The both of them must be fully bonded mates, she loves him too much to give up on him.
The chances of getting Carter to love her was a one hundred percent possibility, if she could find a way to make Carter fall head over heels for her. It would take a lot of time but it was a shot worth trying.
And after trying it, and it still doesn't work out, then all she has to do was to wait for Carter to come back to her because when he runs off to Ariel which she knows Ariel would chase him away due to she doesn't love him anymore, Carter would have no other choice rather than to accept her as mate.
All Avril had to do was to bear pups for him and when he saw his pups, he would surely fall for them and for her too. Then it would be game over because she finally got Carter all to herself.
"Wait"
"Yes?" Avril stopped before she could leave the attic and turned to know why Ariel told her to wait.
"Should I let her know or should I keep quiet?" Ariel mumbled within herself, she forgot to tell Avril about Carter's plan of rejecting her last night, but then the words were too heavy for her to lift off of her lips as she stared at Avril.
Avril was almost on the verge of breaking down in tears, which she was trying so hard to cover up but Ariel could see right through her, so she told Avril something else instead.
"Can you get these chains off of me?" Ariel's eyes glittered with hope as she pointed to the iron chain locked up on her legs. Since she told Avril what she wanted, Avril might return the favor back by unlocking the chains locked up on her legs.
"I'm sorry Ariel but as much as I would like to help you, I can't do that. Father put those chains on you himself and I wouldn't want to defy him" Ariel gulped at the mention of 'father' in Avril's statement and that was when she recalled Carter wasn't the one that knocked her down last night when Dawn took over.
It was someone else, who turned out to be her father, Alpha Mills.
"I'm so f**ked up" Ariel murmured and bit her lower lip while Avril left the room and locked it from the outside as she was instructed to do by Alpha Mills, after she was done paying Ariel a visit.

"I have to go find Ariel, who knows what her father would do to her?, Didn't you see the murderous look he had on his face when he knocked Ariel down last night, Cole?!" Carter growled aggravatedly while pacing around his room.
Cole watched him quietly while munching down fried Mac cheese balls.
Carter's mind hasn't been at rest since after the incident that happened during his mating ceremony to Ariel last night, he was glad the blood covenant didn't go successful if not he and Avril would have been fully bonded mates.
The way Ariel's father knocked her down last night worried him a lot due to, he knew Alpha Mills never loved Ariel as he did with Avril, so he couldn't get his mind to rest since after yesterday's incident as his mind was drowned with thoughts all about Ariel.
Carter wanted to go over to the Miles pack house to check up on Ariel, he wanted to know how she was doing and whether she was alright. But since Ariel wasn't his mate, he couldn't do that in fear that people may start wondering if Avril was the one he really loved.
After Ariel's father knocked her down last night and he ran over to her and cuddled her, rumors started spreading all around the pack house about him plotting with Ariel to destroy his mating ceremony with Avril, so they could run away together since he resisted knocking her down and ran over to Ariel and cuddled her when she was knocked down by her father.
"Chill bro, it's not like her father's going to kill her. No matter how much hatred he has towards her, he would never murder his own daughter. He isn't insane" Cole tried getting his hot headed brother to calm down but Carter wasn't listening to him at all, so he said to him again.
"Okay, let's say you go over there now. What are you going to say?Are you going to go straight to Alpha Mills and be like" Cole got up and stood up on the bed to demonstrate to Carter.
"I order you to release Ariel before I burn down this house" Cole demonstrated as he mimicked Alpha Mills's deep hoarse voice and laughed.
Carter stopped pacing around the room and watched Cole, he sighed and shook his head slowly as he watched Cole mimicked Alpha Mills. Cole never took things serious like he does and doesn't understand what he was going through.
"Cole, this isn't funny okay?. This isn't the time to laugh, I got some serious things to think about, so could you do me a favor and stop distracting?".
Cole sat down back on the bed and continued munching on his fried Mac cheese balls, seeing that his brother wasn't buying any of his jokes.
He was just trying to make Carter feel better, but the way he showed it made Carter feel like he wasn't helping.
"Have you called Avril on the phone this morning?" Carter was surprised when Cole asked him that question and that was when he realized he hasn't called his mate to be soon, since after the disruption at their mating ceremony last night.
"So you haven't called her?" Cole shot him another question when he saw Carter searching for his phone in the pocket of the pants he put on.
"I know you don't love Avril but if you don't want her being a bitch towards Ariel, you have to at least pretend to care for her" Cole said to Carter and Carter stared at him.
Cole wasn't lying, even though he didn't love Avril. He had to call her on the phone to know how she was doing, before she blamed it on Ariel for her being the cause of him not giving her the attention she needed.
After their mating ceremony crashed last night, he hasn't seen Avril and didn't know where she went to or where she was and he hasn't called her on the phone yet.
"You said the vows instead of rejecting her, and the mating ceremony crashed last night which means it's going to be rearranged for another day" Carter stared at Cole and ignored him as he was saying out his mind.
Carter finally found his phone and got it out of the pocket of the pants he was putting on and went straight to his contacts, he searched for Avril's number and found it.
He dialed it and waited for Avril to pick up but none came, he recalled it again and there came no response. Avril was ignoring his calls, she must be really mad at him.
Cole kept quiet and watched Carter as he continued dialing Avril's number and his calls were being ignored, he was the type that didn't know how to keep his mouth shut, so he said.
"She's not picking up, Carter, so just hang up because you got a lot of explanation to do".
