Chapter 16: Playing around. 3
(3rd person pov)
After killing those wolves Xander continued to wander around the area to see if he could find anything interesting or find any more monsters he could fight.
The only other things he could find were more wolves and a few ice golems, he took care of the wolves pretty easily but didn't wanna go to fight the golems yet since he didn't know if he had enough strength to defeat one yet.
When Xander reached level 5 he decided to try and kill the ice golem, and to his surprise, the ice golem was a lot easier to kill than what he thought.
Taking down the golem took him about 5 minutes to do enough damage to finish off the golem, even though he took it down in 5 minutes it was still pretty hard since ice golems have a lot of defense.
While fighting the golem Xander didn't take a single hit while fighting against the ice golem, but if he was hit once then he would probably lose 25% of his health.
After taking down the ice golem he received a memory card and at first, he had no idea what a memory card was. Then after a while of going through his memories, he remembered what the memory cards were made for.
The memory cards were to help you create NPC's and make them stronger with certain classes and abilities.
Another thing that took him by surprise is that by killing one golem he got enough XP to level up again, even though he just leveled up before killing it and hasn't killed anything since his level-up.
Since he got so much XP from killing only one of the ice golems Xander decided to start to hunt ice golems because of how much XP they gave him, and he wanted to see if he could get any more memory cards.
To end off the day Xander had gotten to level 15 and was on the verge of getting to level 16. He had a total of 35 memory cards from different monsters he killed all day.
He ended up gaining a total of 10 Ice Golem memory cards, 22 Wolf memory cards, and 3 Yeti memory cards.
The yeti were next to a mountain and had a small cave home inside of it, but Xander didn't wanna go into it yet since he didn't know if he would be strong enough to go into it and fight whatever was in it.

(Xander pov)
When I finally left the virtual world and got off the Neural Nano-Interface I went to my computer to see what time it was and to see if there was any type of information that people may have posted about YGGDRASIL.
After exploring for about 15 minutes the only information that I found out is that there is currently a two-time XP boost and that's why people were leveling up so fast, and that the double XP boost will last for the rest of this week.
Since it was now 9:30 pm I decided that I should go downstairs, make some dinner, and then go to sleep to have an early start tomorrow and continue playing YGGDRASIL.
For dinner, I wanted to make shepherd's pie since it will last me for two days after making it and then I won't have to worry about dinner for the next few days so that I can focus on the game.
Another thing is that shepherd's pie is fairly easy to make and won't take me too much time to finish making it.
Making dinner only took me about 45 minutes to finish and then I finished about ⅓ of it.
While I was devouring my food I was thinking of what I wanted to do in YGGDRASIL and how much I wanted to change the plot.
My current plans are to just stay low and not make too much of a difference until the world championship. I thought that after the world championship, my existence shouldn't shift the story too far from the canon.
One other thing that I wanted to do was to be one of the original 9 in the "Nine's own goal" clan since I thought it would give me an advantage.
Even though I wanna do all of these things I still have 2 more years until the championships and an extra year after that until the nine's goal clan is made.
After all of my thoughts were done and I finished eating I put my leftovers in the fridge and went upstairs to sleep so that I could wake up early and continue with my journey.
When I finally laid down and went to sleep It was 10:37. Laying down in my bed I put my hand over my heart and I could feel my heart racing like it wanted to jump out of my chest.
"Huh, I must be excited now that it has finally started, I guess I can't blame myself though. Well, I hope you guys watch over me and can enjoy this as much as I will." I said in a whisper to myself before I went to sleep.

*Beep, Beep, Beep*
"Alright where are you stupid alarm clock, let me destroy you so you never interrupt me and my nice and amazing dream ever again," I said as I was storming out of bed.
When I finally found the alarm I picked it up ready to destroy it so that it could never interrupt me and my sweet dream ever again.
As I lifted it above my head I took a deep breath and said "Right, it's not your fault that you woke me up, but still sometimes I wish to destroy you. Though I guess with that logic I should punch my past self. Good thing I hid this alarm clock before I went to sleep last night or else I may have decimated it."
Placing the alarm clock back down where it originally was I walked downstairs to go wash my face and brush my teeth, then after all of that I would take a shower and finally eat dinner.
While I was in the shower I was thinking whether or not I should play the guitar or violin today, or if I wanted to draw something before I went back into YGGDRASIL and then explored that cave I found yesterday.
After about 5 minutes of pondering, I finally decided that I would take a break from my other hobbies until I reach level 100 in YGGDRASIL.
Since leveling wouldn't take too long, the only thing that would take forever would be leveling up my special racial class.

(30 minutes later)
Going up the stairs I thought about how it was to eat Japanese food as breakfast, today's breakfast was just some steamed rice and miso soup.
While I did have the standard American breakfast now and then, it was a weird switch from having an American breakfast every day to one every week.
Arriving at the door that went into my gaming room I started to shake my head to get rid of the extra thoughts in my head to decide that I wanted to focus on the game.
Stepping into my gaming room laying down on the Neural Nano-interface and taking a deep breath I finally went into the virtual world.
When I finally logged into the world of YGGDRASIL the first thing I decided to do was to change my in-game name, while I didn't have a long fancy name for now I thought that I should change it from just being Zero.
I pulled out a name-changing card from my inventory. I received only one of these when I first logged into YGGDRASIL, after using it a screen popped up.

Seeing this I immediately hit confirm and changed my name to "Zero Alucard."
While it may not be a huge change I thought it would be necessary since I went with the vampire class and got the special racial progenitor class, when I hit the confirmed name change another screen popped up.

Seeing this I blinked in confusion because I didn't think the store would be out yet since it was a pre-release, clicking on the menu I saw that there was a store option.
After clicking on the store option another screen popped up, but all that it displayed was two options to buy, and the options were the name change and something that looked like wood.
When I saw this wood a thought passed into my head, and it was that after going into the new world I wouldn't have my violin, and guitar so maybe I could make them in here and bring them into the new world.
Clicking on the information of the wood it ended up displaying its status.

Seeing this I ended up buying all of these branches so that I could hopefully get someone to make me a violin and guitar out of it and with whatever was left I could use it to make weapons.
After purchasing all of the branches I ended up taking a moment to calm myself from the excitement of getting something so rare and valuable.
Taking 5 minutes to gather my thoughts and what I wanted to do I started to march through the forest because I remembered seeing a cave earlier and wanted to explore it.
