Chapter 9

"Fascinating... I think we have another goal at hand..."

Stated the butler, and a slight smile appeared on his face.

"Bold of you to think you could escape without me noticing!"

Stated the man as he turned around. Behind him stood Dary wearing his armour with his symbol. Dary was looking at the injured siblings.

"Take them away..."

Mumbled Dary, and from his shadow, two hands emerged and grabbed the siblings, then dragged them into Dary's shadow.

"As for you, I have been expecting you; it seems you got my invitation. I am delighted you came, but I must tell you something. I will have to experiment on you, so you will have to wait a bit longer."

Continued Dary and pointed at the butler, who seemed unphased, and was only smiling. And as Dary pointed at him, he opened his arms welcomingly and took a step closer to Dary and said.

"You have proven yourself to be quite enduring and powerful... I think you might not know the situation you are currently in. You might have beaten one or two of Ainz's men, but we are not them; we are more powerful and dangerous than they could ever hope to be. But for your gorgeous performance, I will give you a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Stop doing whatever you are doing and planning, and instead, join my ranks. I assure you, you will NOT regret joining us; we have the means to make you stronger; we have ways to entertain and satisfy your every desire; you only have to follow the protocols and the tasks you will be given!"

"You see... your offer does sound appealing; unfortunately, I must politely decline."

"Please indulge me; why would you decline my generous offer so quickly without pondering about it?"

Asked the butler and took another step towards Dary, who only smiled at him.

"Oh, you want to know the reason? It is very simple... You see... I hate being ordered around by bitches such as yourself."

Declared Dary and delivered a devastating uppercut. The force of his punch was so great that the butler was greatly lifted from the ground, and a powerful gust of wind was created around him.

"I do know your kind, and I do know what your plan is, so drop the formalities!"

Dozens of meters from Dary, the butler landed. However, he sustained barely any damage and, in a split second, jumped up. He dusted his uniform and then cracked his fingers.

"I see; I am sad to hear that and that a talented and valuable asset has to be wasted, but this was caused by your foolishness, so bare the consequences!"

Declared the butler; however, before he could accomplish anything, a sudden shout echoed through the area.

"FALLEN DOWN!"

The butter looked around as fast as he could, but it was to no avail; instantly after he heard the shout, a devastating bolt of blue energy hit the butler from the sky. The spell completely terraformed the area; however, the butler seemed relatively fine. His uniform got slightly torn, some smaller burns appeared on his face, and also his hair became messy.

"This was unexpected... It seems you were already prepared, and what you meant by experiment, I presume you meant the effect that spell would have on me... How perceptive of you to assume I was undead... But as you can see... I am not as weak as my pupil!"

"Yes, I was quite aware of the fact that you'd be well over level 100, but to you seem to be higher than I anticipated. Well, you might provide the required XP I need to level up!"

Stated Dary as his red blade appeared in his grip and pointed it at the butler. And at that moment, dozens of meters away from the both of them, a dark portal appeared, and Ainz stepped through it.

"Oh, it seems we have a new guest. Doesn't matter, today I will bring your heads back with me!"

Stated the butler as he looked back and forth between Dary and Ainz. Dary waved at Ainz and started calmly walking towards him.

"Insolent brat!"

Shouted the butler, and a shining silver sword appeared in his hand, and in the next moment, he was already next to Dary.

"Wall of..."

Shouted Ainz, but he was too slow; the weapon in the butler's grip was cut into two, and a deep wound appeared on his chest, and before Ainz could even realise what had transpired before his eyes, the butler was blasted away. The butler landed a few meters away from Dary, who didn't even stop walking; Dary only looked at the butler, who was dusting himself, and a smirk appeared on his face.

"I know your kind... you like hiding your true self, but in your current predicament, you have no choice but to use that."

Declared Dary, and the butler growled at him.

"We have to talk, Ainz... "

"Indeed, we need to... Daion."

Replied Ainz as the two stared at one another. Ainz opened his mouth to speak up, but Dary was faster; he raised his hand, and a white circle appeared beneath Ainz and him.

"Perfect Dimension!"
