As Paige sped away from the hospital, her tires screeched on the pavement, leaving a trail of smoke behind her. Clinton burst out of the hospital doors, his eyes scanning the parking lot frantically, his phone already in hand.
He dialed Paige's number, his fingers flying across the screen, but it went straight to voicemail. "Paige, don't do anything stupid!" he yelled into the phone, but it was too late. She was already gone.
Without hesitation, Clinton sprinted back into the hospital, his feet pounding the floor. He emerged minutes later, jumping into Merline's car, which was conveniently parked outside. He started the engine and peeling out of the parking lot, determined to catch up with Paige.
Meanwhile, Paige drove through the streets, her mind racing with thoughts. She drummed her fingers on the steering wheel, her eyes fixed on the road ahead.
