Chapter 047 - Another Fucking Attack?!

I watch as my sister disappears into the darkness, and I feel a mix of dread and anxiety. Flying back and forth from the mountain daily. Facing off against a bandit each day while working on my physical strength and psychic abilities. It will be brutal. Still, I will try to endure the training regimen. After all, she is Tatsumaki, my sister.

I take a deep breath and look around at my surroundings. It's getting dark. I shiver slightly, feeling a chill in my bones. I turn my attention to the supplies and gather it up, preparing myself for flying down the mountain. I need to return to the apartment as soon as possible if I want to get a good night's sleep.

As I hover my way back to the foot of the mountain, the wind rushes past me, whipping my hair into a frenzy. I can feel the ache in my muscles. But I must persevere. I chose this. And I'm sure the training will be exhilarating, but mostly terrifying. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of disappointing my sister, and fear of knowing that I reached my limits.

I try to keep my focus on flying while my sister's words echo in my head. "When you come down from here, you need to fly as well," she had said.

And so I did. I push myself to go faster and further than before. I grit my teeth and endure the pain in my muscles as I make my way down the mountain. As I near the bottom, I see a figure waiting for me. It's another bandit — probably belonging to the same bandit group that my sister destroyed.

I wonder if I'm ready for another fight. I am already too tired, and just hovering down the mountain is already taking my all.

But there's no turning back now. This must be a surprise challenge that my sister has prepared for me, which means I must complete it. I take a deep breath and land with a thud in front of the bandit. He turns towards me and draws his weapon.

I ready myself for a fight, my muscles complaining from exhaustion. The bandit charges at me and swings his sword wildly. I dodge and weave, feeling his blade brushing past my skin.

Despite the fatigue, I close my eyes and focus all my energy, relying on my training and instincts. With a burst of strength, I strike back, my fists landing solidly on the bandit's jaw, the other on his ribs. He staggers back, stunned by the force of my blows.

I smile at the eureka moment. So, reinforcing my fists with psychic energy can create a tenfold of force compared to just using a cardboard cutter, huh?

Then I take advantage of his momentary confusion. I grab and disarm him, throwing his weapon a few meters away from us. In a flash, I have the upper hand.

I give him one final strike and he crumples to the ground. I stand over him, panting and drenched in sweat, my heart pounding in my chest.

But just as I thought that I won, he suddenly springs back to life, revealing a hidden knife in his hand. I react, but not quickly enough. He plunges the knife deep into my thigh, eliciting a cry of pain from me.

I stagger backwards, clutching at my leg. The bandit takes advantage of my vulnerability and lunges at me again, aiming for my heart. I am not ready to die yet!

Summoning all the remaining strength in my body, I bring my arm up and block his attack with my magic-infused forearm. The impact is jarring, but I manage to deflect the blow and knock him off balance.

With a swift motion, I grab his wrist and twist it. The sound of snapping bones echoes through the air. He falls to the ground, writhing in agony. Blood drips from his wound, staining the ground beneath him.

And I watch, realizing that reinforcement can allow me to fight against the strength type of monsters. Suddenly, I feel a rush of wind, and my sister appears in front of me. She takes in my state and then, the bandit.

"The fuck up!" she screams. She goes to the bandit and kicks him.

"Sis, I am okay. I am still alive," I say.

As I look at the bandit, soon, it's his life that's in danger. "It's just a small cut," I add.

My sister's eyes blaze with anger as she towers over the writhing bandit. Her fists clench at her sides, and I can see the energy coursing through her veins, ready to be unleashed.

"Ambushing her, huh? I told you, one bandit per day!"

The bandit, sensing her fury, tries to crawl away, but my sister grabs him by the collar and hauls him back. She slams him against the ground, making him groan in pain again.

"Sis, we can bring him to a human prison instead," I suggest.

"Ugh! Fine!" She looks at the bandit and threatens, "Scram! And make sure that you run to a prison, or else, I won't be so merciful!"

The bandit screams and runs away from us. When he's out of sight, my sister turns to me again.

"Hmph! First day and you are already way beaten up!"

"I'm sorry," I say.

"Go home! And take care of that leg! I guess you won't be walking for a while."

I nod, knowing it's best to obey my sister when she's in this kind of mood. She's always angry and insulting, but I know she won't hesitate to bring down anyone who tries to hurt me.

When my sister flies away, I hover away from the scene. I reach city Z with no more surprises or events. I enter Saitama's apartment and see that he's in front of the TV watching a new anime series.

Taking alcohol, some gauze, and cotton, I sit in the corner of the room behind him. I smirk as I look at his back. Is he even aware that I came into the room? Does he know I am injured? No matter, I am sure he doesn't care, anyway.

And so, I begin to tend to my wounds. I take the alcohol and am about to pour it over my cut, when Saitama says, "That will hurt a lot, you know."

My hands pause as I shift my attention to him. He is looking at me, frowning, the anime is continuing to play in the background.

I am working on a new story (female-lead) so thankfully, I had the time to finally update this, whew!
