Chapter 77 Trust the captain

Crocus said calmly.

"What should we do? Where can we buy a Log Pose?" Nami asked, concerned. As the ship's navigator, if traditional navigation skills were useless, the Log Pose was her only option. Plus, she was curious about how it worked.

"If you want to buy one, you'd have to go to the nearest island. But without a Log Pose, you won't be able to navigate out of here. Luckily, I have one I can give you," Crocus said, handing his Log Pose to Luffy.

"I'm old now, and I don't plan to sail anymore. I've grown fond of this whale after living here for so long. Since you want to become the Pirate King, I'll give you a little help."

"Thank you so much, sir!" Nami said gratefully, accepting the Log Pose.

"Remember, when you reach the next island, make sure the Log Pose records the magnetic field completely, or you'll be just as lost as before," Crocus added.

"Understood, thank you!" Luffy and the others bowed their heads in gratitude.

"Alright, let's set off!" Nami clapped her hands, eager to put the Log Pose to use.

"Yeah, but we need to find a way out of Laboon's body first," Sanji said, looking around at the completely enclosed area they were in.

"That's simple. Moonlight, let's retrace our steps!" Luffy turned to Moonlight with a grin.

Since it was Moonlight who got them inside, it made sense that he should lead them out.

"Hey, hey, Luffy, what are you thinking?" Usopp suddenly had a bad feeling. Retracing their steps? Wasn't that going to mean going through all the craziness again?

"Luffy, don't be reckless! You'll hurt Laboon! Moonlight, don't listen to him!" Nami shouted.

"Yeah, Luffy, calm down," Sanji said, exhaling smoke.

"Don't worry. This time will be different. Everyone get on the ship. I already know the way out," Moonlight said, shaking his head before closing his eyes.

"Observation Haki!"

A series of images flashed through Moonlight's mind. In no time, he located the exit.

"Alright, let's go!" Moonlight announced.

Everyone nodded in trust and boarded the ship. Before leaving, Zoro made sure to drag Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 on board. They were dangerous and leaving them behind would only cause trouble. The two showed no resistance, but no one noticed the cunning glint in their eyes as they were brought aboard.

Using Observation Haki, Moonlight saw Laboon's body as if it were transparent. He quickly found the exit: Laboon's blowhole. Every time Laboon surfaced to breathe, water and air were expelled. This was the way out.

"It's coming!" Moonlight called out, feeling the water currents suddenly intensify.

"Got it!" Luffy and the others shouted in unison.

The Going Merry began to flow with the water, rushing through the passage. Soon, a bright light appeared before them.

"I see it! That's the sky!" Usopp, using his spyglass, was the first to shout.

"Finally, we're getting out of here!" Sanji and Nami exclaimed, excited to see the outside world again after being stuck inside Laboon for so long. They were eager to continue their journey in the Grand Line.

"Full speed ahead!" Luffy, sitting at the front of the ship, shouted excitedly.

Suddenly, the water surged, and the Going Merry shot out like a bullet!

The sky was clear, and below them, an endless sea stretched out. Laboon's thunderous cry echoed behind them.

"We made it out!" Everyone cheered, feeling as though they had been reborn after escaping.

"Boom!"

A loud thud followed, and they saw Laboon ramming his head into the Red Line again.

"Laboon!" The crew's excitement faded instantly.

"His body is already in terrible shape, especially his head. If he keeps this up, he's going to die," Nami recalled Crocus's words and the damage they had seen inside Laboon's body.

Even a whale's strong body was no match for the immovable Red Line. Ramming his head against it was a slow, painful suicide.

Suddenly, Luffy's arm stretched out, grabbing onto Laboon's body, and with a single leap, he landed in front of the whale.

"Rubber… Pistol!"

"Bang!" Luffy's fist struck Laboon right in the face.

"Argh!" Laboon cried out in pain, glaring furiously at Luffy.

The whale retaliated, its massive body thrashing wildly. Luffy was thrown hard against the rock wall.

"Rubber Rubber… Bell!"

Luffy quickly recovered, his arms stretched out again, forming a pendulum that swung violently toward Laboon, hitting him hard.

Laboon groaned in pain once more.

"Luffy! What are you doing?!" Nami screamed in anger.

"Luffy! You're going to kill Laboon!" Usopp yelled.

"Hey, hey, isn't this going too far?" Sanji said, lighting another cigarette.

"Hmph, that whale swallowed you whole. Anyone would be angry after that, especially a pirate," Mr. 9 scoffed, hoping the whale would die so his mission could be easier.

Miss Wednesday didn't say anything, but something felt off. Despite Luffy's attacks, there was no murderous intent in his moves. He wasn't trying to kill Laboon.

Zoro, sitting down and watching quietly, seemed to understand Luffy's intentions. Aside from Moonlight, Zoro had been with Luffy the longest and knew him best.

Moonlight also remained seated, showing no intention of intervening. He knew Luffy's way of doing things. Throughout their journey, Luffy had never taken a life, not even from those who had wronged them. Whether it was Captain Kuro, Krieg, or Arlong, Luffy never killed.

At this moment, Luffy and Laboon were locked in battle, both of them injured.

"Moonlight, Zoro! Stop Luffy! If this keeps up, Laboon's really going to get hurt!" Nami pleaded with them, but Zoro remained seated like Moonlight.

"Hey, you guys!" Usopp was on the verge of panic.

Sanji looked at Luffy, his eyes serious. If neither Moonlight nor Zoro planned to intervene, then he would step in to stop this.

"Hold on, Sanji. Everyone, we agreed to sail on this ship, which means we trust Luffy. He's our captain, and we need to believe in him!"
