Ch14: Past of the Ghost

Bulma and Elly were surprised by sudden outburst of Madara. What did he mean by 'racist'? If Dev is gonna summon like him then it's gonna be a problem. And what's Madara relationship with that man. There are many questions they had in their mind but they decided to listen first.

"I know your concern is right Madara. But he is the perfect guy for this mission. He is strong, Ryugu Kingdom is like home turf for his powers. He is also has expertise in spying and espionage. He can fulfill both role of ambassador as well as keep eye on World Government."

The advantages Dev told were really beneficial. Elly can understand why Dev would want this person but she still doesn't understand the whole situation. It's the same for Bulma.

"You know how he treated the Uchiha clan. He is gonna divide Fisherman and Mermaids like he did to us. He will end up making them suffer in the name of keeping control. The tragedies are gonna repeat."

What Madara said is also true. If that person is left to do on his own complete volition then it would destroy many lifes.

"I completely agree with what are you saying Madara. Even I don't like the way he does things and what he did to your clan. I will make sure it doesn't happen again. He will be under strict orders and you know he won't disobey my direct commands."

All the summons are loyal and will never attack Dev, whether direct or indirect. But that doesn't mean they don't have their own will. They still possess their memories, experiences and free will. They will genuinely do care for Dev and would not do anything to disappoint him. If they are given direct commands by Dev, then no one can stop them except Dev himself.

Madara was still silent. Still not agreeing with him being in charge of Ryugu Kingdom.

"He truly is a perfect guy for this job. I promise to keep him under observations."

Dev is still trying to convincing Madara. It is not like he need Madara's consent to summon him. Dev can just order Madara to sheesh it and he would do it due to being Dev's summon.

But Dev won't do it cause he don't want to steal his summon free will. He think of them as a part of family. They are living beings with emotions. He is also giving them another chance to live a new life without any regrets. He won't make Madara do questionable things in the name of power. Dev do have power, but he won't abuse it.

"Excuse me. May i ask who that person is and what he did to Madara and his clan?"

Bulma finally asked the reason behind Madara behaviour and why is he so against him.

Dev looked at Madara and asked his permission to disclose his past life.

Madara sighed and decided to reveal his past himself.

"Since i am going to be with you guys living forever. I believe i should let you guys know about my past."

" I was born during Warring States Period. A time where the countries of the world were uniformly small, constantly battling each other for land, power, and opportunity. To fight these battles, countries hired one or more clans of mercenary shinobi to represent their interests, the shinobi's loyalties ultimately going to the highest bidder. The constant warfare in turn led to constant death, creating an average lifespan of only thirty years. Children were the greatest victims of the era, forced to fight for their clan no differently than an adult would and, more often than not, being killed by older and more skilled opponents."

"We were five siblings and I was the eldest one. We grew up on the battlefield waging constant war with the Uchiha's rivals: the Senju. Three of my siblings died young. Leaving me with my only brother, Izuna. Our parents were more focused on the reputation and power of clan rather than their children. Being the only ones to truly care for each other. We become more close and constantly competed with each other to get stronger. During this time, I made a friend. His name was Hashirama Senju. He was in the same situation as I was. He had only one brother left alive, Tobirama Senju. He is the one Dev wants to summon."

"Both I and Hashirama shared a same dream, to bring a era of peace. So no more siblings, parents and friends would be lost in the useless war. We become close friends throughout our time. But one day, both of our Father and brother became aware of each identities. Our clans were the enemies of each other, so bad that they won't even leave a children alive. Whether shinobi or not."

"So they planned a ambush for each other. But me and Hashirama were against it so we sent each other a secret message to run away from the river where we regularly used to spend time and skip rocks together. But our father and brother knew the plan was busted so they jumped and clashed their swords with each other on the top of the river. Senju clan was on par with our legendary Uchiha clan. Being in stalemate with each other, our father's decided to kill each other younger children. They both threw their weapons at our brothers and we intervened to save our own brother. Fearing about losing my brother again during this confrontation, I chose to end my friendship with Hashirama so I would have no reservations over killing him in the future, a resolve strong enough to awaken my Sharingan."

Madara changes his eyes and shows them his crimson red Sharingan.

" Over the following years me and Hashirama continued to meet in combat. I could never defeat Hashirama — even after acquiring a Mangekyō Sharingan — and Hashirama could never bring himself to kill someone he still considered a friend, resulting in a constant stalemate between us that lasted decades. In time, we both became leaders of our respective clans, a position Hashirama tried to use to broker peace between us."

"During this confrontation, my brother got gravely injured by Tobirama. And later that night he died, leaving me with his final gift. Mangekyo Sharingan."

Madara evolves his eyes and shows the next stage for Sharingan. Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Filled with sadness and rage, and this new power I waged one final assault against the Senju and was summarily defeated. At that time, tobirama was about to drive his sword through my body but Hashirma stopped him. He still wanted to end this war, not with my death but rather peacefully. I still don't believing him, gave him ultimatum. Either to kill his own brother or kill himself. Hashirama offered to kill himself if it would stop the fighting. And he truly tried to kill himself to stop this war. I was moved by Hashirama's gesture and stopped him from stabbing himself in the final moment. I finally assented to peace."

"We rekindled our childhood friendship and joined hands, ending the war between our clan. Joined by other clans, me and Hashirma founded a village. Village hidden in the leaf, Konoha."

Konoha

"The village was my and Hashirma's dream. A village where children can live happily and would never need to die in war. A place where our brother could be safe, but it was too late for me. Still with positive outlook, me and Hashirma worked hard to bring our dream come true. But Tobirama still had prejudicial view against my clan. He kept spying on my clan, made his moves politically. He divided my clan and made them stand against me. I tried to show them the truth but they didn't believed me. Tobirama infiltrated our clan and isolated them on the premise of being a police force. Making their royalty to the konoha to gain more power to deal with other villages that were also formed like us. Even after his death, his view were passed down to his student Danzo who further isolated our clan to the side in village. Weakening them politically and socially."

" After getting betrayed by my own clan, I attacked Konoha again. This time me and Hashirma fought to death and I finally lost my life at hand of Hashirama. But I cheated death and came back to life. Only to get fooled and start Fourth Great Shinobi War. Where I stained my hands with the bloods of innocents including children, whether directly or indirectly. After getting stabbed in the back during the war. I realised I was wrong to try to achieve peace by trapping everyone under a genjutsu, an illusionary peace which was nothing but slow demise."

" I was given a second chance to wash away my sins and live new life. I want to correct my regrets in this world. I don't want any innocents to suffer. I want to atone for my sins and have my redemption. "

Elly and Bulma were surprised to hear the past story of Madara. They didn't expected that his life was so hard from his childhood to his multiple death and resurrection. Losing everything he loved for and getting fooled which caused huge number of unnecessary death. All he ever wanted was peace but life gave him middle finger at every turn.

"This is the reason I don't want Tobirama to be the one dealing with Ryugu Kingdom. Who knows what he will do to them for our Kingdom."

Madara firmly gave his reasons.

"I know you wish for atonement and peace Madara. I too hope your wish is fulfilled. I also wish for you to have peaceful life and happiness. Fall in love and have family of your own with lovely children and be their hero. That what I truly wish for you Madara. But I also wish this for everyone, not only our people but also people outside of our Kingdom. They too deserves to live a happy life. We know that as long as current World Government exists, it won't be possible. We need someone capable enough to be right under their nose."

"How about this. I'll put him under you and you would be able to direct and control his actions. I will also direct on what to do or not with normal citizens. I'll make him sure that same thing doesn't happen with Ryugu Kingdom citizens. You will able to always keep your eyes on him and deal with him."

With the final push, Dev can only wait for Madara reply. If he disagreed, then Dev would have to put someone else strong there but they will miss their most successful and efficient chance they have.

"Sigh~ fine. You can make him ambassador to Ryugu Kingdom but he will be always under my direct command." Madara reluctantly but finally agreed with Dev.

Dev was happy that Madara agreed and now they can finally move forward.

"I guess we are done here and everyone is in agreement?" Dev asked while looking around.

" Yep. We are done." Bulma said by catching the capsule in her hand which had Whitebeard's leg.

"Yes. I'll make plans to implement capsules in our military as soon as possible now." Elly replied, intending to start working on it right away. And Dev caught her intentions immediately

"Yes, as soon as tomorrow morning when your duty officially starts." Dev said while smiling at Elly.

"But i am always on dut-" Elly was about to reply back but got cut off again.

"Yes yes. From 8 am your duty starts, i am aware of that time." Dev said with smile still on his face.

"Oh come on~ didn't you two love birds just promised half hour ago to take care of your own health." Bulma slaps Elly arm and said playfully.

Elly's ear color matched with her hair and Dev's ear shining brightly in front of his hair.

Bulma took the chance and clicked a photo quickly.

"Send it to me" Madara also said playfully to lighten up his mood after remembering his past.

"Hey!! That's not fair!!" Elly exclaimed at Bulma.

"Everything is fair in love and war~" Bulma replied in her playfull voice.

"Since it's already late night. Let's go to sleep so we can continue our meeting tomorrow with Neptune couple with energy. I'll summon all of them tomorrow morning." Dev said it and hurriedly left the room followed by Elly.

Seeing this both Madara and Bulma laughed. They too started to walk towards their own respective room.

*Ding* *Ding*

While they were walking together, Bulma received two notification on her mobile.

Unlocking her mobile and seeing that it was individual messages from Dev and Elly asking to send them the picture.

Again both Madara and Bulma laughed while walking through the corridor.
