Kai moved swiftly, weaving through the chaos, staying behind a group of Whitebeard pirates to avoid drawing attention. The heat of battle surrounded him, but all he could focus on was the dull, throbbing pain where his hand used to be. It had been numb for a while now, a blessing in disguise, though the fact that he lost it at all gnawed at him.

"Damn it," he cursed under his breath, pushing himself harder as he made his way towards the plaza. The thought of losing his hand in the middle of this crucial moment made his blood boil. He wanted to punch something—anything—but with only one hand, it felt wrong. Just then, his system pinged, the familiar voice chiming in.

[Suggestion: Use a Flask of Crimson Tears to reattach your severed hand

Warning: This will only heal the limb, but will not repair other injuries sustained]

Kai stopped in his tracks, his eye twitching in frustration. "You couldn't have told me that sooner? Stupid system," he muttered through clenched teeth. It was typical—every time he needed something, the system either withheld information or slapped him with some ridiculous restriction. He pulled out one of his remaining Flasks from his inventory, staring at it for a moment with a mixture of annoyance and hope.

"Fine, let's see if this works," he growled.

Grabbing his severed hand from his pocket, Kai pressed it against the wound and then poured the glowing liquid from the Flask onto it. Instantly, a wave of warmth spread through his arm as the magic began its work. He could feel the muscle and bone knitting back together, the sensation strange but almost comforting. His fingers twitched, and within moments, the hand was fully reattached, good as new.

Kai flexed his fingers, savoring the feeling of control returning to him. He summoned his Cleanrot Knight's sword with his now-healed hand, the familiar weight of the sword comforting him. With his other hand, he conjured his Meteorite Staff, feeling the surge of magic flow through his veins once more.

"Now we're back in business, i thought I'd end up like Shanks" he grinned, feeling the rush of power. His time with infinite magic was almost running out, but he had two minutes left, and he wasn't going to waste a single second.

With renewed vigor, he dashed towards the retreating Marines. In quick succession, he unleashed a barrage of Magic Glintblades, each one forming above his head and launching like homing missiles. The air was filled with the sound of explosions as the magical blades tore through the Marine ranks, sending them scrambling for cover.

Kai's grin widened as he saw the chaos unfold before him. He followed up with Glintstone Arc, sweeping his staff in a wide motion. The blue arc of magic erupted from the tip of his staff, cutting down more Marines in its path. His heart pounded with adrenaline, each spell cast with precision and ferocity.

As he continued his magical onslaught, something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. In the midst of the battlefield, two figures clashed—Smoker and Boa Hancock. Kai raised an eyebrow, momentarily confused. Weren't they on the same side?

Then it clicked. Boa Hancock was fighting to protect Luffy. She wasn't the type to care about the Marines or the Navy's orders when it came to him. Smoker, on the other hand, was all about duty. Kai's lips curled into a smirk. This wasn't his fight, But out of the corner of his eye, he noticed something—someone was sneaking up on Boa Hancock from behind. A Commodore, just like Smoker, with his sword raised to strike. Kai clenched his jaw. Normally, he wouldn't care to intervene, but saving a Warlord of the Sea? That could earn him some serious credit. And right now, he needed all the connections he could get.

Without hesitation, Kai dashed towards them, his feet barely touching the ground. Summoning a barrage of Night Shades, he hurled the dark, crackling projectiles at the Commodore. They flew through the air like lightning, aiming to stop the attack before it landed. But despite his efforts, the Commodore's blade came down, slashing across Boa's back.

Kai cursed under his breath. The strike wasn't deep, but it had cut through her clothing, nearly revealing the tattoo she kept hidden with such care. He remembered what that mark meant—how much she loathed it. Boa Hancock, proud and untouchable as she seemed, was deeply ashamed of that symbol on her back.

Kai acted without thinking. He sprinted forward, not bothering with formalities or hesitation. The Commodore was still crumpling to the ground when Kai grabbed his Marine robe, yanking it off with a swift motion. He immediately tossed the robe over Boa's back, covering her before anyone else could see the tattoo.

Without breaking stride, Kai turned on the remaining Marines who had witnessed the scene. His eyes narrowed dangerously as he lifted his staff, summoning a surge of power. A massive Glintstone Arc erupted from the tip of his staff, sweeping across the battlefield like a scythe. The Marines didn't stand a chance—each one was cut down in an instant, leaving nothing but silence in their wake.

Kai let out a slow breath, lowering his staff. No witnesses. He'd made sure of that.

Boa Hancock turned to face him, her eyes wide with shock. She was regal and powerful, a woman who seldom showed vulnerability, but now she seemed almost... shaken. Her gaze locked onto his, and she spoke, her voice laced with disbelief.

"Did you see it?" Her words were sharp, cutting through the air like the strike that had almost exposed her.

Kai met her gaze calmly, his expression unreadable. He knew exactly what she was asking. The mark on her back—her deepest shame. He could feel her piercing gaze as if she was ready to tear him apart if he said the wrong thing.

But Kai wasn't here to play games. He straightened, his tone steady as he responded. "I didn't see a thing." His words were deliberate, leaving no room for doubt.

Boa Hancock's shock quickly morphed into rage. Her eyes blazed as she screamed, "I can't let anyone live after seeing that!" The fierce pride she held in protecting her shame exploded into fury, and without warning, she turned her sights on Kai, preparing to unleash her powers. Her hands began to glow with her deadly, heart-shaped beams, ready to turn him into stone just like she had done to countless enemies before.

But before she could strike, Smoker came charging back into the fray, his fist coated in smoke, aiming to slam it into Boa. Just as the blow was about to connect, a sharp Glintstone Arc cut through the air, intercepting the strike and slicing into Smoker's arm. The powerful attack forced him back, causing him to clutch his injured limb in pain.

Kai's eyes glinted with annoyance as he shot Smoker a sharp look. "Again?"

Smoker, grimacing and now realizing that the situation was no longer in his favor, narrowed his eyes at Kai. He could tell that even if he fought, it wouldn't go his way. And now, with Boa Hancock's anger added to the mix, he was vastly outnumbered. Reluctantly, he pulled back, his body coiling into smoke.

"Well Kai, it's a war i'll have plenty of chances 'Elden Lord' " Smoker snarled, his voice dripping with menace.

Kai rolled his eyes, dismissing the threat as Smoker retreated into the chaos of battle. He turned back to Boa, just in time to see her deadly heart-shaped beams aimed directly at him. Her perfect charm powers shone brightly, and Kai's blood ran cold. He instantly regretted his decision to help her.

"Dammit, I'm not surviving this," he thought. His mind raced as he braced himself, fully aware of just how hopeless he was against her irresistible allure. He was no stranger to Boa's beauty, and now it was aimed right at him.

But then, something unexpected happened.

[System Notification:

Mental-type attack detected!

Attack denied.

Host is immune to all mental attacks, as they could potentially expose the system.]

Kai blinked, stunned by the message. 'I'm... immune?! I Totally would have turned to stone! I'm totally into her!' Relief washed over him as he realized her powers had no effect. He looked straight into Boa's eyes, frustration bubbling up as he yelled, "Are you crazy?! I just helped you, you stupid—" He caught himself mid-insult. "Bitch!" he finished, though his anger felt more exasperated than genuine.

Boa, however, had already started powering down. Her eyes widened in shock as her charm fizzled out, not because of the insult, but because she realized something had gone terribly wrong. He hadn't been affected at all by her perfect charm.

Flustered, Kai turned and stormed off, wanting to avoid more of her wrath. "I'm done here," he muttered under his breath. Without wasting another moment, he sprinted towards the plaza, seeking out more Marines to take down and farm for runes.

Behind him, Boa stood in stunned silence, her face slowly turning red. He… he had resisted her charm? She didn't know how to process that. And not only that—he had seen her mark and not mocked her for it. He had covered her, protected her pride when most would have taken the opportunity to expose her greatest shame.

"Kai…" she murmured softly, recalling the name Smoker had spat in anger. Her heart fluttered for just a moment. "I'll remember this."
