Arc 2: Part 15

Several hours later.

“Haaa... we didn’t find anything at all!” Mina shouted in frustration. Carla, fatigued, sat down while leaning on a wall with a tired expression. Meanwhile, Kyle, who was beside her, chuckled at their predicament.

Despite their extensive exploration of the district, they hadn’t found anything. Mina and Carla had done this before, but not on this scale.

"Now now, there are still more places we need to visit," Kyle said, earning a sharp glare from Mina. While his statement was true, it failed to uplift the mood of the girls and, instead, heightened their frustration.

“How come you are not tired?” Mina asked with a huff.

“What can I say? I’m indeed amazing?” Kyle quipped, flipped his hair, and grinned. Upon seeing this, Mina shuddered.

“Narcissistic bastard,” she muttered.

“Anyway, since you guys have been in the lead all this time. Let me take over,” Kyle offered. The two girls didn’t have any reason to refuse, so they didn’t mind his proposal.
