"I knew you wanted something more," Silas said with a smile as he settled back into the chair near Tabitha, observing her reaction.
Tabitha was happy to see the plate of ice cream he had brought, but Silas sensed her holding back from expressing herself.
“You like ice cream, you love knitting and crocheting, and you love children. My mate wants to explore and all; I like that too," he said, capturing Tabitha's attention.
Tabitha wondered again who Silas was, but she only smiled at him.
"You can have it. Thanks to you, I'll fill the refrigerator with ice cream so that you can have as much as you want. And if you want to go out on an ice cream date, I'll make myself available," Silas muttered the last statement while scratching the back of his neck.
He didn't know what he did, but Tabitha heard his words and laughed quietly.
What?! Did she just laugh?
