Chapter 271 Are you done?

Alice had noticed two people just as Rene was speaking. Then she became emotional: Evan and Nancy had once been close, and now they appeared to be strangers.

Even was standing in a banquet hall corner, clutching the waist of a thin woman.

Alice realized that she appeared to be the model Rene was referring to.

George noticed them as well and then said, “Oh, that’s Ria.”

“How do you know her?”

“We work for the same company. She is an unknown model and the company had low expectations for her. So, after her contract expires later, the company won’t renew it with her.”

Alice asked curiously, “How long did they sign the contract for?”

“Ten years.”

Alice was taken aback and questioned, “What ten years? Ah! Isn’t that a complete waste of time? She won’t be able to continue modeling after that, will she? That’s just not fair!”

“Yes, the person who caused all of this is right here,” George said, pointing at Rene.
