God's Mistake

Upon recalling his final moments, Alex broke down and wept for the life that he had lost, the marriage he never got to have, the family that would never be, and his parents who he would never get to say goodbye to. After his eyes finally dried Alex let loose a scream of primal rage and pain giving voice to the emotion he was feeling within. What was that beast, how could this happen, he thought?

The scream was absorbed by the fog as if nothing could drown out the deafening silence this space seems to naturally create.

" Are you quite done" a mysterious voice boomed breaking that previously all-powerful silence?

" I brought you here for a reason, my subordinate the fool that he is, allowed a demonic beast into your realm. While that beast was weak, its level of power was much greater than anyone in your realm could survive." Said the mysterious voice.

" Wait what so it's your fault I died, what the fuck. " Alex yelled looking for the source of the voice.

" Watch your tone mortal, I can just as easily destroy you where you stand as I brought you here. "

" At least show your face or are you afraid to face the person you wronged!"

" Fine…"

The fog retracted backwards leaving behind a throne room, of glistening white marble pillars, with golden symbols decorating the surfaces. Beyond the pillars the golden throne, upon this majestic throne was a human of physical perfection, chiselled jaw, piercing grey eyes and muscles that perfectly blended beauty with ferocity. His clothing screamed luxurious and decadent, yet one look and Alex could tell this was a warrior, a man who had killed before and would again.

" Are happy mortal"

" Not really, I mean, I had a life, a family, and friends I wasn't some loser with no one who was praying for truck-kun."

" Fine, for my subordinate's mistake in causing your death, I will grant you 3 wishes, but be fast for patience is limited."

" Wishes? How can you grant that and who are you?"

" I don't have time for your little questions, assume I am GOD and therefore can do whatever you can imagine"

" So, you're basically a ROB and I can get anything I want?"

" Okay then this is easy, I want to be back in my world one hour before I die, with a system of my choice"

" No, you cannot go back to your old world, do not ask I will not explain why to mention it again and I will simply destroy your soul and move on from this little charade"

" Why no… Okay fine, got it don't mention that again" he was not kidding Alex thought, wow and I thought I had no patience.

"Can I be reincarnated with my memories into the world of my choice and does that count as a wish?"

"Yes"

A little bit blunt and come on I swear in most novels that's not even a wish Alex thought. While Alex was thinking of ways to make the best use of his three (two) wishes, the being on the throne was smirking, he finally understood why so many gods did this. The excitement radiating off this soul was contagious and relieved the extreme boredom of managing universes, he would be able to observe this human and have his own reality tv show, so much fun.

Alex had decided " The world I want to be reincarnated in is …"

" The world I want to be reincarnated in is Desolate Era, in the same world as Ji Ning's reincarnation as his twin brother with my memories intact."

" Second Wish: I want a system that allows me to reincarnate to any world I wish, understand their language and is perfectly designed to facilitate my growth in each world and can adapt to better serve my needs and development. Furthermore, I will be able to change and add things to the system if I can logically explain with strong reason how it would be beneficial to my growth.

Third Wish: I would like the ability to have one unique perk for the specific world I am in and one universal perk that activates in every world I'm in. The specific perk for Desolate Era is the same level of talent in the spear as Ji Ning has in the sword, my universal perk I want to have protagonist fate/luck or whatever you call it."

" Okay fine, you're pushing the limit with the endless reincarnation system, but I will allow it, goodbye may we never meet again."

The GOD snapped his fingers and Alex disappears.

"What an interesting mortal, I hope one day I have another sparring partner, I mean friend, his journey across the realms with being entertaining."

Snap, a screen appears in front of him, and popcorn appears floating in front of him.

" Entertaining indeed. "

Alex felt a serious amount of head pain, his head and neck hurt, and his body felt like it was under an enormous amount of pressure.

Suddenly he felt at ease and then a bone-piercing cold, Alex then took his first breath in his new life, the fresh air had never tasted so good.

After taking that first heavenly breath, Alex did what all healthy babies do, he let out a loud cry.

" It's a boy, I have a son "

" Lady push, push only one more. "

Another cry filled the chamber. " Two sons, I have two sons, the heavens have truly blessed us, my dear. "

Alex instantly understood his first wish had been fulfilled, he had been reborn.
