"Why are they looking at us like that?"

"I'm from low rank, you are from high rank. We are not even supposed to be talking," I looked at him and he shrugged. Mom, Maxwell, and three other guys were standing in front of the house. When mom saw me she ran to me and hugged me tightly.

"I was so worried," she said and looked at the guy I don't know, I'll call him My Desire.

Wow, Alexandra, you are so smart.

Mom looked at him with a look I couldn't decipher.

"Who are you? Where did you take my baby!?" Maxwell rushed toward us and started hitting the guy while asking him why and where he took me.

"Stop stop! Please stop!" I stood in front of the guy before Maxwell could hit him. The fist didn't reach my face, I looked at the hand in front of me and found the stranger holding Maxwell's hand.

"How dare you touch me!?" I saw that Maxwell was about to throw a tantrum. Why can't they communicate like normal grown-ups?

"You wanted to hit me?" I joined in and he shook his head. I sobbed fakely and hugged Mr. Desire. I knew I was causing a scene but I didn't care. He didn't have the right to blame him for me getting lost. For Christ's sake... I didn't even get lost!!

"I would never h-"

"Honey, Max wouldn't hit y-"

"He wanted to! Why are you even attacking my friend?" they looked at each other then at the stranger that was holding me like I was going to break. I shook my head, pushing my face further into his chest.

"Honey, tell us where he took you then?"

"Nowhere! I begged him to walk me home, and this is how you repay him!?" he chuckled and rubbed the back of my head as if telling me to calm down. It was not working cause I was not mad. At all.

"Fine fine, we won't do anything to him. Let's get you inside," I looked at Maxwell. My gut was telling me to stay until the stranger leaves. But my brain and my heart overpowered my senses.

"Thank you," I hugged the guy and walked with mom inside the house. I kept looking back and saw that they had walked away. Mom hugged me once inside the house. She sat me on one of the couches and walked to the kitchen.

"So much drama?" Camryn asked without looking up from his phone. I looked at him and he glanced at me once before looking at his phone again.

"Excuse me?"

"You are ruining everybody's peace. Bloody human," he said and stood up. I also stood up and walked in front of him. He was taller than me as we glared at each other.

"Are you everybody?" I asked pushing back on his chest. He pushed me and I fell on my butt. He smirked and looked away from me, he left and mom got in. I hate him.

"Are you okay?" I nodded my head and got up. Ignoring the tea she brought me, I went to my bedroom.

I took a shower and then put on my comfort shorts and dad's old shirt. I got on the bed and tried to sleep, I kept tossing and turning the whole night. Waiting for it to be tomorrow already.

Once the sun began to rise, I rushed to my bedroom, took a shower, and put on my black jeans with a cropped hoodie, I put on my black converse and tied my hair in a low ponytail before rushing out of my room and to the kitchen.

"Morning honey. You look... Excited?"

"Morning mother dearest. Yes, I am excited. In fact, I am delighted," I told her taking the bacon in front of me. The cooking lady was helping her on the stove.

"What's with the delightfulness?"

"I thought about starting school today."

"Really?" she asked and I nodded my head. Maxwell walked in and smiled at me then went to kiss mom.

"That's good. I meant to ask you if you wanted to go. But since you do, then it's good," I nodded my head and looked at mom who looked shocked. She shrugged and got back to her pot.

"Do you want me to drive you?" he asked and I nodded my head.

"I just have to get my phone. I'll be right back," I ran upstairs and to my room before grabbing my phone and ran back downstairs. Mom was busy kissing Maxwell, I rushed to the cooking lady and pecked her cheek before stealing bacon and running out of the house.

Five minutes later, Maxwell came out with Camryn who looked super mad. Mom was taking Caroline to her school and Maxwell was taking us cause he pass there on his way to the packhouse. Camryn sat in the back so I decided to sit in front.

We got to school and Maxwell had gotten me my schedule, I and Camryn had a small fight which Maxwell stopped before it could escalate.

Now I am in the cafeteria receiving the odd looks. I know I'm the only human but it doesn't mean everyone has the right to look at me this way.

One guy sat in front of me and glared at me. I looked at him with a confused face, "Where is he?"

"Who?"

"Stephen. He was last seen with you, now we can't find him. Where is he?" I looked at him and then at the group of guys who were staring at me from distance. If looks could kill, I'm pretty sure I'd be fifty feet under.

"Who is Steph-" I cut myself off when I remembered the guy from last night. I looked at the guy then at his joined hands that seemed to be shaking a bit.

"Where is he?"

"I don't know. I don't th-"

"Scram loser," a blonde girl with slender legs said sitting next to me. I looked at her then at the intimidated guy. He stood up and ran back to his table. My eyes went to the girl who invited herself to my table.

"Hello, Alexa. My name is Lisa. I am your new friend and I..." oh no. I could see her lips moving but I could not bring myself to focus on the words she was saying. I just stared at her.

There is nothing I hate more than having a friend. I don't need a friend in my life cause all they do is betray you and then leave. And now a dog is trying to befriend me?
