"Ugh, it's so damn hot," Sokka wiped his forehead with a handkerchief, having lost track of time since he left the library.
He figured it had only been a couple of hours, but oh well, it didn't matter. Sokka pulled out a map, and noticed that a few miles away there was an oasis.
"Palm oasis with mist?" Sokka muttered. According to the rumors, there was a large block of ice at that place. "In a desert? Haha nah!"
Sokka confirmed his thoughts upon arriving at the place. What was supposed to be a large mass of ice was actually just a nearly melted block.
Sokka entered the store in front of him. It was a bar where there were some people, "Give me the best you have, and make it very refreshing"
"Okay" the man took out two sabers and cut some fruit, from which he took out the juice and poured it into a glass, to which he added ice, "Well here you go"
"Wow, you have an incredible technique" Sokka slipped him a coin and went to sit in a somewhat secluded area without people. He had to check things.
First thing: the system. It had been a while since he had checked it, just to buy some things in the store or also to save in the inventory.
Name: Sokka Class: Warrior
Talent: [See all] Weapon: [See list]
Level: 20 lvl Shop: [View]
XP: 750 Notifications: 12
"Level 20? Well, not bad" Sokka muttered, as he had been doing the daily quests in the library these days and gained several levels.
Something that surprised Sokka a lot was that the [Talent] slot looked fuller than before, since it only said level 1 caster there.
He didn't have that much XP. Well, that's because at first he spent it on buying scrolls to learn more about this world.
"Let's look at the notifications to find out what this is all about" Sokka decided to open the notifications screen and went to the most recent one.
[Congratulations!]
[You have defeated Koh, the Face-Stealing Spirit!]
"I knew that was a quest somehow," Sokka commented with a bitter smile, "And I hope I gained something interesting."
[You have gained a new talent]
Hidden Talent: Spirit Killer
[When you fight spirits, all of your stats will double for half an hour]
'And when the hell am I going to fight a spirit again?' Sokka was crying internally, this gift made no sense at all.
[You have gained 50 status points and 100 XP]
This brought a smile to Sokka's face, he immediately went to the stats screen. "That's quite a few points I haven't given out yet."
He had a total of 100 status points accumulated. The 20 from the pirate treasure, 30 from another mission, and these 50 he had just seen.
"Another mission?" Sokka wondered which one.
[Congratulations, you have completed the side mission "Enter into the Spirit World"]
[You have gained the "Spirit" skill]
[This skill allows your spirit to freely travel through the Spirit World once activated]
"Ah, a useful skill" Sokka sighed, he honestly didn't have much to do in that place, "Well, at least they gave 30 points"
Name: Sokka Strength: 20
Speed: 20 Agility: 20
Senses: 20 Intelligence: 45
Stamina: 20 Charisma: 20
Sokka was surprised by the high points, but then he remembered that every time he leveled up, 1 point was added to each stat.
"Well, that's a hundred points so I'll increase thirty in strength first" Sokka whispered with his hand on his chin. "And the rest as well."
Name: Sokka Strength: 50
Speed: 40 Agility: 40
Senses: 35 Intelligence: 45
Stamina: 35 Charisma: 20
"Sounds perfect." Sokka stood up smiling. For what he was going to do next, he needed to have good strength and agility.
Ever since Koh told him about Chi, he hadn't stopped researching this energy that allowed masters to control the four elements.
In Wan Shi Tong's library he learned that there were Chi paths in the body known as Dantian¹, which allowed the flow of Chi.
If these Dantian were closed, the flow of energy would be interrupted and the person would not be able to master any element or even move.
And of course Sokka had been studying these pressure points. Although he was not a master of any element, he had already found the way to defeat any bender: Chi blocking.

1: In Avatar: TLA, these Chi pressure points are never given a name, so I named them Dantian as in the Chinese tradition. Obviously, I won't put anything about cultivation here, don't be scared about that....
