The Reason

"Am I so selfish right now Kevin?" Ask Luna again.

Kevin fell silent, should he tell Luna everything now?

Kevin again holds Luna's hand tightly while stroking Luna's soft cheeks.

"Don't feel guilty Luna, my relationship with Monic is not what you imagined." clear Kevin, Luna doesn't understand what Kevin means.

"Monic went to jail back in America." Kevin's words surprised Luna.

"We went to the same place, and she liked Smith. The woman was so cunning, she did various ways to get Smith, but love could not be forced. Smith fell in love with another woman who is now his wife. Monic didn't accept, so she poisoned Smith's wife on their wedding day until Smith's wife nearly died." Kevin tells me everything, Luna doesn't believe what she hears. That's how bad Monic is.

"She wanted revenge by asking her father, who owns a 30% stake in this company, to set her up with me. Her father urged my father to accept this matchmaking if he didn't want Monic's father to sell his stake in a rival company. However I and Smith were like brothers, she wanted to ruin our good relationship. Monic was so cunning and heartless, I was silent about her treatment not because I wanted to, but because I didn't want her to know how I felt about you. I don't want you to get hurt. I'm afraid she will hurt you like he hurt Samantha, Smith's wife.

Luna was silent, she still can't believe that Monic was so evil because even though she sucks, she only looks like a spoiled woman and Luna instantly feels guilty to Kevin because she always thinks Kevin was toying with her because he never seems to reject Monic.

She doesn't know if Kevin's been holding his weight all along.

"My father said, the only way I can escape Monic's entanglements is to make Furniture K number one in Asia. That's the only way..."

"I'm sorry Kevin... All this time I've only thought about my feelings." Luna cries, she feels guilty for Kevin.

Kevin smiles, feeling very relieved after telling Luna all and worried if Monic knows what their relationship is like? But Smith says if he'll help keep Luna if they keep secrets about their relationship until the time comes then it'll all be fine.

I" will protect you with all my might... Smith said if he's going to help protect you too, so don't worry I won't let you get hurt in the slightest." Kevin then tightly arrests Luna so Luna doesn't have to worry about anything.

But then Luna releases Kevin's warmth while smiling.

"Don't forget I'm good at martial arts, so take it easy. Don't worry about me I'll be fine..." Luna says with a gentle smile holding the back of Kevin's hand and reassuring Kevin.

"Let's fight together against Monic and make Furniture K number one," Luna continued encouraging Kevin.

As Kevin gets a bright smile, Luna makes it look like he's coming back to life, he promises himself to try harder than anyone. He will make Furniture K number one and make Luna his bride.

"Yes and then I will marry you." Luna smiles shyly when Kevin says something like that especially when Kevin kisses the back of his hand.

Luna wriggles her body as the sunlight hits her face. Slowly she opens her eyes and smiles at the sight of Kevin's still sleeping face.

Kevin held her tight, somehow their position became like this as they recalled sleeping on different couches.

Did something happen between them last night?

Luna thinks hard, they didn't do anything out of bounds last night, right? Luna still thinks without trying to escape Kevin's arms until Kevin wakes up slowly.

"Good morning." Greet Kevin with his eyes and he smiles when he sees the woman he loves being this close to him.

"Kevin..."

"Yes?" replied Kevin who is still humped, his eyes closed again it feels very comfortable because Kevin hasn't slept well for a long time.

"Kevin wake up... What exactly happened last night?" Ask Luna curious.

"Last night?" Kevin opens his eyes again and thinks, his mind is still not fully conscious.

Until Kevin realizes their position and slowly unleashes his arms on Luna.

They're now waking up, rolling back a lot of what they went through last night. But last night they slept on a different couch then why are they currently sleeping on the same couch?

Kevin turned his eyes back as he recalled what made him move. Kevin doesn't want to tell Luna and still pretends not to remember.

"I remember! Last night you..." Luna suddenly says, she enthusiastically makes Kevin's face tense. Luna then smiles teasing Kevin by nudging Kevin's shoulder with her shoulder.

"Someone screams in fear when there's lightning." Tease Luna, last night Kevin just wanted to sleep but suddenly the sound of lightning made him shocked and scared. He slowly walks to Luna's side until they fall asleep on the name couch.

"I'm not afraid of lightning, I'm just worried about you in case you're scared so I'm coming for you." Said Kevin reasoning to make Luna laugh out loud at Kevin's shy expression. During this time Kevin always toyed with a cool attitude that was pretentious but it turned out that he was afraid of the sound of lightning

"Don't laugh at me..." Kevin's protest, he was upset. Luna doesn't hear what Kevin says. She just kept laughing at Kevin.

Kevin was so embarrassed, what was wrong with the fear of lightning, it was humane, wasn't it? The sound of lightning sounds like the sky was about to collapse for him but Luna doesn't understand it like him, she keeps laughing until Kevin's eyes change. He draws Luna's hand and silences Luna's laughter by kissing her.

Luna's heart was about to explode, Kevin kisses her again but her heart can't stop pounding fast. Luna doesn't retaliate at first, but Kevin renders her helpless until she finally gives up and reciprocates Kevin's tender kiss.

Kevin let go of his kiss slowly Luna's face blushed now, he couldn't believe what he had just done but it was so amazing even his heart had jumped in excitement.

Amid their smudging, Luna and Kevin are surprised by the sound of falling objects making them turn around at the same time.

"I... I'm sorry, sir. I'll assume I didn't see anything and keep my mouth shut," said a middle-aged woman wearing janitor clothes.

Luna and Kevin are so quiet are they just caught kissing?

"Please don't fire me..." she said again worried.

Kevin looks unhappy, while Luna looks anxious. Kevin then gets up and grabs Luna's hand taking her in the same position as him.

"We believe you, Julia's," Kevin said smiling after reading the ID on her, the woman's tense face turning into a smug smile. She nodded her head quickly a sign of understanding.

"Better yet, you don't go through the front door, there are a lot of janitors there. Going through the side door will be safer, sir." Julia's advice.

"All right. Thanks for the advice." Kevin smiles, he doesn't fully believe in this woman in front of him but he's been caught red-handed so he has no other choice.

Kevin takes Luna to the exit with his hands still holding each other tight.

"May you be happy..." Said Julia replied with Luna's warm smile.
