I asked Cher to go out with me, but I made it seem like it wasn't a date. Even though it totally will be, to
me it will be. To her it will be just another normal day. I'd like to tell her it's a date, but she's right, we don't know each other all that well. I never really told her much about me. Maybe I'll have a chance at the benefit and I'll just talk with her, or I could ask her to come into my office? People may start getting suspicious as to why I keep asking Cher to come into my office, they may think we're fucking in here. That doesn't sound like a bad idea, but again I need to know her better and she wants to know me better. It's official I'm asking her to come in, but this time I'll get her myself. Britney wasn't too thrilled when I had Cher come into my office, and I did get a little upset the other day when she didn't let Cher in.
I get up from my chair, walk up to the door and go into the main office where everyone is working. I'm not even busy, I've gotten mostly everything done. When I walk towards Cher, she senses my presence and turns her head towards me. She looks shy, but she's smiling my way. I can't resist her smile, it makes her even more beautiful. "Good morning." I say to her. "Morning." She says back. "Can I see you in my office for a moment." I touch her hand ever so slightly, I don't want to scare her I just wanted to feel her hand on mine. Nick looked over, he has this wicked grin on his face "Ooooh, Cher's in trouble." He snickered. "Shut up!" I said to Nick, he laughed and went back to work. "Ignore him." I say to Cher and she laughs this time. She stands up from her chair, I noticed she's about two or three feet shorter than me, but that's okay.
Once we get into my office I shut the door just to make sure no one disturbs us. Already I can feel my dick harden knowing I have her alone in here, but I won't do anything. I'm a man and I have manners, I won't do anything unless she'd be willing to do them too. "I was thinking..." I walked over to my chair and crossed my legs. "You were right" she looked confused. "When you said that you don't know me, I mean I don't really know you either and I'd like to know more about you. If that's okay?" She shifted in her seat, looking uncomfortable. "I mean, we don't have to. I just..." she shook her head, "It's okay. I would like to know more about you actually." I can tell her whatever it is she wants to know. "Ask me anything." I wait patiently for her to ask me a question. "Um... I heard that you went out with Britney." Her eyes got wide, and her face turned red. I have a feeling she didn't want to mention Britney and I but I'll tell her whatever it is she needs to know. "It's true, but just once. No big deal." It wasn't, no offense to Britney but she went too far. "You mind me asking for what happened?" she didn't seem so sure if she should be asking things so personal, but honestly I don't mind one little bit. I want her to trust me. "I asked her to the benefit dinner couple years ago. We were having a good time, we were drinking and dancing. And then..." should I tell her? "Well, after the benefit we did head back to my place, just to talk and then we started kissing." She winced at the words, "But I did put a stop to it, especially after she grabbed for my uhh, junk." To put it mildly, I knew what Britney was doing, but I wasn't into her that way. "Oh." Cher looked down at her hands. "Believe me though, it meant nothing then. And it certainly means nothing now. Britney's a nice girl, but I'm just not into her. I'm too busy anyway, for that kind of thing." I lied, I'm not too busy for a relationship, for awhile I waited for the right one to show up, and I think she did.
She asked a few more questions after the whole Britney thing. Like where I went to School, and I told her South Bryant High, it was a Private school. She asked if I went to Prom and I told her "Yeah, it was great. How about you?" She shifted in her seat again, "I don't really like thinking about my prom, it was just horrible." I wasn't going to pry any further though, the topic seemed to have her on edge. "What do you do for free time?" She asked. "Great question, some nights Nick and I go out and hang. We'll go to a bar or two and sometimes we do karaoke." She laughed. "I love karaoke." She said. "Do you now? Does that mean you sing?" I'm really intrigued. "Not that much, not like I used to. When I was in school I was in choir but then I stopped." This time she looked sad. "Why?" I didn't want to see her sad. "It's a long story." She can tell me. "It's okay," I waited for her to talk some more about it, but again she seemed uncomfortable. "I like to sing," I tell her just to see her smile again. "Really?" There it was, I would love to make her smile more and more.
"Oh yeah, love it." The two of us begin to laugh. We talk more about my childhood and how boring it could be at times and other times it could be fun. I told her how I met Nick when I was just a kid and how it's weird that I'm his boss now. Whenever I said something funny she would laugh, or when I said something sad she would look upset for me. She has yet to mention relationships though, other than Britney and maybe it's for the best that she doesn't ask. It's not that I'm hiding anything, I just hate talking about past relationships. "Wow, I've been in here for almost an hour." Cher stared at the clock, she's right, she's been here for an hour. But I am glad that we got to know each other a bit better. "I should let you get back to work." I tell her. She sits up from the chair and she stares at me, she bites her bottom lip. She must not notice she's even doing it, but I notice and I can feel this throbbing sensation once again. "Daniel, I would like to come with you to the benefit." We stare at each other for another few minutes and I reach out to shake her hand. She places her soft hand into mine, and we shake. I don't want to let go, but I know I have to. "Can't wait, I'll let you know the details when the day gets closer." She lets go of my hand, "Sounds good." And there she goes towards the door, and as she walks I stare at her ass. Damn.

It's getting late. But I stay after work to get a few things done. There was a light knock at the door. "Come in." The door opens and Nick came up to my desk. "You good?" I appreciate how concerned he gets, he really is like a big brother. "Yeah, I'm good." It's not a total lie. "We should get some beers or something? You know just hang out and get our mind off of things. Besides it's been awhile since we've gone out." I know he's trying to get me to be relaxed but I haven't seem to find time for that anymore. "Nah, I think I'm going to head home." I click off my computer, grab my jacket and head towards the door with Nick. "I'll see ya tomorrow then." I nod. He leaves first, and then I head towards the exit next. I get my keys and hit the button to unlock the door. The ride home was a restless one, I should've gone out with Nick, but I didn't want to go out and drink. I'd rather do that at home by myself.
All the lights were off, it was quiet and lonely. It sucks living in a house all alone, but I had to get away from the apartment I've lived in since I was 21. Things happened, and I just had to get out. I guess I'm better off, but it really sucks being here. I grab my phone and see Nicks number, I press it and I hear it ringing. "Yo?" Nick said once he picked up, "You wanna come by?" Honestly it would be nice to have a Cher here , she's all I've been thinking about these past few weeks.
