Don't trust the schedule fully). If you like it support the book but if not recommend the book to someone else who would like it (as much as I wanted to say leave the book if you don't like it, I can't because I need support). Extra: Backstory (Kaito Akira)

"Honey, I hope he'll give us a good reputation."

Akira's mother, by the name, Ayame spoke with confidence. They were heading to a special medical officer, for a special occasion.

Akira, at the time, was 5 years old and accompanied them on their trip. He knew nothing of the situation and followed his parents blindly.

The place they headed, was an institution where different specialists of a particular science, worked. All medical officers who worked there were paid to conduct tests on clients and ascertain their talents.

With the sudden appearance of portals, science became a trend, and sales of service skyrocketed as a high percentage of parents offered their children the tests to train them appropriately to be formidable fighters.

As is the case, Akira was being taken to one of the special institutions situated in their current location. They rode in a car happily, ignorant of the imminent information they would receive.

After a momentary, yet smooth ride, the family arrived at their destination. They took time, to arrange necessary items for the test before advancing to the officer's quarters.

They made the payments and were soon taken to a room where samples of Akira's DNA would be taken. Akira was quite observant as little as he was, recording every little detail he sighted.

Akira was calm, delivering a smooth test, and at the same time, making it easy it's conduct. The results would take some time to process, so they were instructed to return after a night's rest.

They did as instructed and headed home to rest for the day. Their house was every bit as fabulous as one would make it seem. The building was a tall and firm structure, with glass windows and polished exterior walls.

Its lights lit up its surroundings and the streets were complemented with nicely situated street lights. The house's interior was decorated with modern furniture and illuminated chandeliers. No building in the neighborhood outshone its beauty.

The night passed by, and they set to return to the institution. Following that event at the institution, Tsuyoshi, his father, and Ayame pampered Akira, believing he would undoubtedly possess a hereditary talent as it ran in the bloodline.

They made their way to the medical officer, and were met with an unnerving result - he possessed no talents.

"Why doesn't he possess any talents? Sir, you must be wrong. Take the test once again," Ayame spoke, still shocked at the results of the test.

"Ma'am. This was exactly our introspection, so we decided to run various tests at once. We get similar complaints every time," the officer states, reassuring the accuracy of the results.

Upon hearing the officer's words, Ayame's once-smiling face turned into a scowl that she directed at Akira. Her anger escalated quickly and the two parents stormed out of the office, leaving Akira stranded to walk home alone.

After a painstaking walk home, Akira was met with a cold welcome. His parents directed him to a makeshift shelter, previously named "the tool shed".

"Mom, I can't sleep here," he spoke reluctant to obey her command. His eyes circled, as the poor kid couldn't handle the stress and pressure that was directed at him.

"This is what you get for not possessing a talent. For compensation, you must be isolated from the rest of your family," Ayame spoke already leaving Akira behind in the cold with no resources.

Akira couldn't make anything of the situation. What could one say? He was left stranded with no source of food or any resources. He wasn't in a game, where he could activate cheats and simply move on with life.

He spent every treacherous night in the little shed, fending off rodents and insects. He was filled with despair, but luckily, he was given a small amount of money which he used wisely.

From then, he went on the streets and into bushes hunting for food and using that little allowance of his to purchase his needs. Every step he took spelled doom, but his situation at the time, was worse than anything he imagined could conjure.

In all these, his fate turned on a bright day. The day Akira came to know of the society of Goblin fighters. This discovery was set as a new goal in Akira's mind. He vowed to join the society, become an official, and finally get recognized by his parents.

"Yes, that's my opportunity. I'll finally get noticed by everyone, and my parents will know my worth."

Hence, Akira began his training regiment. He gathered materials and resources during the day and trained during the night. Back then, Akira's life was pretty hectic. He gave his body no rest, training all day and night, and as a result, he met an unavoidable illness.

His body weakened, but quickly recovered and resumed his training. A few years into the future, he discovered his newfound strength. After consistent training, his muscles adapted and he gradually grew in strength.

The world seemed to revolve around him, and he saw himself as the MC of a novel (which is false).

Although he grew in strength, his life was most certainly still the same. The same malice between him and his parents existed and didn't seem to fade away soon. But amid all these difficulties and hardships, Akira strived to meet his goal and was soon rewarded for his hard work.

After a few years, his goal was now in sight. He had arranged to participate in the test and he found himself before a portal. A portal into the Shadow Realm, which he soon overcame.

Now that he is an apprentice under the tutelage of a Shadow Fighter, will he obtain the recognition and power he craves? Or will a total contradicting event occur? Follow the series to find out.
