Huh? Ignoring what she had said, he seemed to focus on where he was and looked slowly around him, she watched him look past her to Kalvich and his body tensed with anger. Without warning, he shoved Leah backward, toppling her off her chair, crashing to the floor and sprung like a cat at Kalvich. He was more like a supple young man hiding inside a tired worn out old body.
Instantly Kalvich held his hand upward palm out and this action sent the Alchemist flying backwards hitting the table sending food all over the place.
Leah, dazed could hear excited shouts, loud groans and rapid movements around her. Strong arms helped her up and gently sat her back in her chair.
Winded, she slowly took some deep breaths and turned to see Cemel on his knees moaning, flanked by two guards with the Supreme Ruler standing over him. Blood was seeping from a head wound. Kalvich spat out an order in Trimadian and the old man was dragged out while two slaves rushed in to clean the mess up.
