(Note: This chapter will have a more fun and relaxed atmosphere, as I will start character development, establishing their personalities around people they like, know and feel comfortable around.)

(Note: Protagonist is cold, cruel and calculating, but that doesn't mean it's like that for everyone, especially after spending 16 years in this new life, naturally his personality has changed, as well as his initial madness has diminished, there is also the fact that he has avoided conflicts, but when they start, you'll see a lot of graphic detail.)

Kai arrived at the Main Hall, where there were servants, soldiers and of course, a group led by a beautiful young woman with red hair, a short but slender physique.

"Kai!" - The young woman shouted excitedly, showing a row of white teeth, she quickly ran towards Kai.

Kai gave Calliope a slight glance, followed by a sigh.

Soon Calliope was in front of her, moving in for a hug, but Kai held out her hand, preventing her from hugging him.

"Still impulsive as ever." - Said Kai calmly.

"And you still look like a corpse! Humph!" Calliope snorted pouting.

Kai looked at himself, a tall young man of 1.87, by his calculations he will stop at around 1.95 to 1.98 until he is 18.

He also knows that he is quite handsome, something his past self would envy and find it unfair for someone as handsome as that to exist.

Not to mention he has a body that any man would envy, which in a literal sense is perfect, as he sculpted it himself!

"Seriously, you are so… cynical!" - Said Calliope huffing.

"Oh? Why?" - Kai asked curiously.

"Look at the face he's making, as if to say: I'm a beautiful corpse!" - Calliope said nodding her head.

Kai was silent, then said. - "Indeed, I am a very beautiful corpse!"

"And now it's narcissistic!" Calliope rolled her eyes and then gave Kai's strong arm a hug.

Kai rolled his eyes and asked. - "Tea or juice?"

"Hmmmm… surprise me!" Calliope smiled bright and curious.

Arnold smiled at this sight, it was in scenes like this that he saw that Kai was an ordinary person, to some extent.

He wasn't the only one pleased by this sight, Calliope's personal servants also enjoyed seeing such a scene, it was when their young lady acted like a "normal" girl.

In a well decorated living room, a table with various sweets was set, while a glass, a thick green liquid was inside.

"… what is it?" - Asked Calliope pointing to the liquid in the glass.

"…is it late to ask for tea?" - Asked Calliope with fear.

"Oh, so are you going to give up?" - Kai asked provocatively.

Calliope narrowed her eyes, then picked up the glass and tipped it, shivering and expecting it to taste awful, but… her eyes fluttered open in surprise and she took a big drink, then looked at Kai as she set the glass down.

"… what is it?!" Calliope asked in surprise as she took another mouthful.

"It's poison!"

Kai was standing still, face and clothes full of the green liquid, he slowly blinked, a vein standing out on his forehead.

"Your corpse! How can you give me poison! Aaaaahhh!!" - Calliope screamed and wanted to attack Kai.

"It's controlled poison you idiot, if I wanted to kill you I wouldn't have said so!" - Said Kai grunting as he got up and wiped his face.

"But how can you give me poison like that? I will die? Where's the antidote?!" - Calliope trembled as she asked.

"Like I said, it's controlled poison, it won't hurt you, my whole family takes it, it tastes good and it helps increase poison resistance too." - Said Kai sighing while Arnold was already bringing him a new change of clothes.

"But it's still poison!" - Calliope shouted indignantly.

"Then stop taking it, you idiot!" - Said Kai irritated, and Calliope was already taking another sip.

"It's a tasty poison!" - Said Calliope huffing.

Kai nodded and quickly changed his shirt.

"Well, what are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming." - Kai asked calmly.

Calliope continued drinking from the liquid, she even asked for more, which made Kai very angry.

(Note: It's practically a fruit smoothie, where Kai added poisons and other herbs, discovering the beneficial effects of poison on the body, Kai thought of ways to make the most of it.)

"My father came to talk to Uncle Thomas about the Young Black Dragon Competition, I will be accompanying him, just as you will accompany your father and brother." - Calliope said calmly.

"Me what?" - Kai raised an eyebrow, he didn't know anything!

"Did not know? Your name is on the Snizer Clan's guest list, well, it's normal for you to be the last to know, don't come out of the grave!" - Calliope snorted.

Kai rolled his eyes, let out a sigh and said. - "Whatever, probably the Patriarchs will be there on business, I heard that my father is looking for a new wife for my brother."

"I don't know, she must be at her house, taking care of the children." - Said Kai shrugging.

"…so why a 2nd wife?" Calliope asked curiously.

"Sister-in-law Veronica suffered from an incident that prevents her from having children for the rest of her life, that's what the doctors say, as well as the 2 children she gave to my brother… they are women!" - Said Kai while drinking tea.

"I see, you can't do anything?" Calliope asked worriedly.

Kai rubbed his chin, in fact he can do something about it, the problem is that it's not good to use the Paranormal for things like that, many women connected to the Paranormal and not being able to have children, they did everything to have one and well... they gave birth to terrifying Paranormal Creatures.

Among these creatures, the worst would be the Parasitic Ferns, a creature of Blood, Death and Fear, which are actually a cluster of grotesque worms that form a fetus, devour the pregnant woman and after "being born", seek new hosts to proliferate, until it reaches a grand scale, where everyone gathers in one spot and creates a fleshy cocoon, giving birth to a randomly scary creature!

Kai faced one of these in the past, known as the Blood Spawns, extremely powerful, Kai remembers how many agents of the Order died because of just 1 of them.

"Hey! Can you or not? Are you listening to me?" - Calliope waved a hand in Kai's face, who came back to himself.

"Unfortunately no, I am not God!" - Said Kai calmly.

Calliope narrowed her eyes, believing Kai was hiding something, but she knew him well enough to know he wouldn't say anything.

"But then, are you going to participate in the Young Black Dragon Competition? I think you have a great chance to become one of the Dark Faction's 10 Young Dragons!" - Calliope said smiling.

"Just a meaningless title, it's useless to me!" - Said Kai carefree.

"Oh? You are an idiot?" - Calliope was discredited.

The Black Faction Young Dragon Title is one of the best titles that young martial artists under the age of 25 can achieve, they are recognized not only by the Faction, but by the entire Murim World!

The amount of young people from all sects, families and clans fighting for this title is incredible and only those who are at the level of an Exalted Realm Master can apply, that is, few, but it is a very close race.

Thomas smiled contentedly hearing this, Galiam already had a vein bursting.

"You dare pursue other women having my daughter?!" - Galiam roared mightily.

Kai pretended to be intimidated, but then he pointed at his father.

Galiam was confused, then looked at Thomas, quickly understanding what he meant.

"You damned old man! Look how negatively you influenced your son!" - Galiam shouted as he punched the table.

Thomas who was smiling at his son's words, frowned at Galiam and said. - "You old fart, you have 5 wives!"

"But I am a merchant, you are a martial artist!" - Said Galiam snorting and pointing to Thomas.

"In what context does that make sense?!" - Thomas was confused.

"I have money to have 5 wives, you don't!" - Said Galiam proudly.

Thomas was speechless at his old friend's brazen words, even Kai was speechless.

"Okay, put that aside, when is this competition going to be?" - Asked Kai waving his hand.

"2 months from now, we are leaving in 3 days, so get your stuff ready." - Thomas said sighing, irritated and frustrated by his friend's words.

"I see, I'm going to destroy the lab, it's already at that time." - Said Kai carefree.

Thomas nodded.

"Hey, what about my daughter? When are you going to sign the marriage? I want a dozen more grandchildren!" - Galiam said furiously.

Kai looked at Galiam, then said. - "When Calliope's are at least 1/3 the size of yours, then we will firm the marriage!"

After saying that, Kai left in a hurry, while Thomas burst out laughing.

Galiam was confused, trying to understand what this 1/3 is, but he soon understood. - "Oh! Brave brat!"

Galiam yelled irritably, before sitting back in the armchair, huffing and saying to Thomas. - "Your son is getting more and more out of control, he preferred when he was more… how can I say it, without feelings!"

Thomas looked at him, ignoring his last words and said. - "There is nothing to say, I am proud of him the way he is!"

Galiam rolled his eyes, then asked. - "Seriously, when are they getting married? Didn't you have that father-son talk?"

"Kai has a lot of worries my friend, he is focusing on other things before a relationship, not to mention that they are young, they will live much longer than old people like us, I, at least, will live twice as long as you!" - Thomas said laughing.

"Time for you… well, I wouldn't be so confident, the way you've been teasing your 1st wife, I wouldn't doubt you waking up without your friend between your legs or with your throat cut!" - Galiam said provocatively.

Thomas snorted, but it wasn't true.

On Earth, Kai lived to be 34 years old, having been a very powerful Psychic, but in the end even a Psychic with 75% Paranormal Exposure could die from a few gunshots and explosives.

Kai, since joining the Order, he was trained to fight and kill, like a soldier, so he started working on investigations and eliminating Paranormal Creatures.

And throughout his life, Kai had many companions that he treated like family, he lost most of them, if not by death, then by madness!

In this world, those who live longer, are those who suffer the most, who wish to die and be beside those who lost, but they were kept alive by a dream, the end of the Paranormal!

Kai throughout his life has had many romantic relationships, falling in love with victims, agents and even occultists, of course, by accident!

Kai was always someone with an open mind, thinking the best of people, so he kept doing his best to save them, but in the end he was weak and incapable most of the time.

He had to watch the people he loved, one after the other, perish, until finally he stopped looking for comfort through love, there was no room for that in this world.

That's why Kai jokes and teases Calliope, but he never allowed her to get closer than a relationship between close friends or even brother and sister, because he fears that his bad luck in love will cause something to the dreamy and talented young woman.

Kai wishes he had such great power that he won't have to worry about evil people targeting his life or those he loves, or a rupture of the membrane causing a swarm of Paranormal Creatures that will tear apart those he cares about!

Kai seeks to have the strength to stop any paranormal catastrophe or Murim problem!
