"So, all you need to do to activate this shield is that just send your psychic energy in the shield in your mind and it will manifest in your hand." Alex explained after they started to walk toward the place mentioned in the mission.

"So, what kind of beast can we possibly encounter in town?" Arc was still confused as he may have come to know that there can be beasts inside the town opposite what common population have been told and taught.

"Worm type beasts are most often the beast in the city but there can be other kind of beast as well who may have entered through by hiding from security around the borders of town. But such beasts are never above pawn level because high level beats are what is most important point of focus for military." Alex was slowly inserting the understanding he had of this world in Arc.

"Look, that is the place which is target of our mission." Alex can see the overgrown garden from his standing point as he told this to Arc very slowly.

Alex took the detection crystal out from the small bag back he was carrying.

He slowly inserted the psychic energy in it as it started to flicker in blue and red colour.

"Thank god, it's blue." After a little time, crystal's colour stabilized on blue colour. Alex stopped for a moment before again walking toward the exact point of location in mission.

Colour of crystal again started to flicker between both colours while trying to detect the beast in the area.

"Not good, Bright red. Be cautious of your surroundings." Alex saw the crystal finally glowing in red colour and said to Arc.

Arc listening to this swallowed his saliva in fear but summoned his shield to protect himself.

Alex was also ready for this as he summoned the two clone, one living with Arc's family and other practicing in secret.

They both were wearing the same outfit as him with same mask.

Arc noticed this thing but didn't cared much about it even though it shocked him quite a lot but he was still focused on the surrounding for any beast t trying to sneak attack on them.

Alex quickly ordered his clones to look for the places this beats can be, he was also bracing himself for any attacks form underground if beast is someone worm like before.

Alex felt that he had already lost the connection to one of his clone which is only possible in the situation where it ja destroyed completely.

Alex looked at the place where that clone was standing a second ago.

Now all there was the bright grey eyes glowing in the tall grass of overgrown garden.

Next moment that eyes disappeared from there and a sudden 'wush' sound heard with fast moment in the grass.

"It's some agile beast. Be ready to use the shield any direction because attack can come from any direction." As Alex was just saying this when he saw a flash of green colour attacking the Arc who guarded himself with given shield.

"Phew that was close." Alex sighed in relief when saying this.

Then thinking of the best possible maneuvers to do, Alex retreated back when sending the left clone toward the beast's last place. While retreating back, he also started to make pattern of skill to summon the clone that just got destroyed.

Alex was now watching this whole place of scene from far when he grabbed the phone from his pocket and sent the message to hunter team about situation they are facing.

*Grrr…*

Alex heard this roar all of sudden after he put the phone in pocket.

A green figure could be seen jumping toward him. Eyes of this figure had such ferocity that it was terrifying and bone chilling.

Now, Alex could see what this thing is. It was the green three eyed cat which is known for very quick movements and lethal attacks.

In that moment, Alex felt the terror of being close to death again which was even more higher than previous experience he had when dying because he was looking in the eyes of death coming his way.

Time seemed to have slowed down as all that adrenaline caused Alex in hyper thinking speed and allowed him what is usually very hard for that same person to do.

He moved to the side to dodge the attack of beast but he was still a little late because claw of that beast have left a huge gash on his shoulder which was bleeding a lot.

Sensation of pain wasn't felt by Alex he was highly occupied in the danger of present and he was high on his adrenaline.

"Move away, that beast is coming your way again." Alex who had just dodged a death moment was now so engrossed in himself that he lost the sense of surrounding except feeling of danger welling up in his heart.

These words shifted by Arc made Alex come to his sense as he jumped and rolled down to the other side.

Arc came running in direction of Alex while still equipping his shield. He knew that shield can also hold the beast for just so long so he need the help this man in mask.

And running was not an option in front of this agile beast.

Beast who running fast all this time making fast attacks now stopped while looking in direction of Arc in annoyance and anger.

It attacked the Arc again who defended it with his shield.

Arc was pushed behind several feet by impact of this attack of beast. As though beast was now attacking with all his strength and more.

Alex ordered both his clones to guard him until the team comes or some miracle happen which can save from all this.

*Thud*

Beast which was making a rampage here till now suddenly fell to the ground like it is some kind of statue falling after being pushed.
