Chapter 19: Judgment of the Heavens

A beam of orange-red light, infused with the energy of a star, shot from the flaming swords wielded by Angel Yan and Angel Leng. The light pierced the heavens and earth, targeting its mark with incredible speed.

The Heavenly Blade Judgement, akin to a divine conflagration, carried a destructive power beyond comparison. As a high-impact offensive measure used by angels, its destructive capabilities were undeniable. However, due to the demonic warriors' wormhole sniping tactics, Angel Yan and Angel Leng had limited time to gather more energy for the Heavenly Blade Judgement, resulting in a less powerful attack compared to usual.

Despite the reduced power, they were confident that even a diminished Heavenly Blade Judgement would still inflict significant damage on the demons Xue Yi and Ato, potentially leaving them critically injured or worse.

A searing column of light hit Xue Yi and Ato in an instant.

"Boom!"

The explosion echoed through the air, but the shockwave reached the angels first, forcing Angel Chui to abandon her fight with the demonic duo Da Hei and Xiao Hei. With a swift flap of her wings, she retreated from the blast zone.

"Sister Yan, Sister Leng, did we succeed?" Angel Chui anxiously asked through their dark communication channel, her eyes fixed on the enormous dust cloud rising from the impact site.

"Uncertain. Demonic interference is making it difficult to ascertain the target's status," replied Angel Yan.

"Hmph, even a less powerful Heavenly Blade Judgement should have been enough to eliminate them," Angel Leng remarked confidently as she and Angel Yan descended from the sky to join Angel Chui.

"It's better to verify up close," Angel Yan suggested, frowning. The other two angels agreed without hesitation, and the trio flew towards the explosion site.

As they approached, a gust of dark energy dispersed the dust, revealing the figures within.

"Impossible!"

"No way, we didn't get them?"

When the dust settled, they saw Xue Yi standing protectively in front of Ato. She looked somewhat disheveled but was mostly unharmed. Ato, though partially burned, was slowly regenerating, clearly using the demonic enhancement of the Devil's Number One to repair his body.

"Third-generation divine bodies?" Angel Yan blurted out in surprise.

"What?" Angel Leng and Angel Chui were equally stunned by this revelation.

"This is trouble."

"Hmph, I hate to admit it, but we're in serious trouble," Angel Yan muttered. "I didn't expect Morgana to upgrade Xue Yi to a third-generation divine body. No wonder she could keep up with my speed. We're at a disadvantage in a prolonged fight. If Morgana arrives, we won't be able to hold out for long."

"What do we do, Yan?"

"We can only hope Queen Kesha arrives soon. We'll have to delay them as much as possible."

"Ugh, such a nuisance!"

On the demonic side, Xue Yi, who had survived the Heavenly Blade Judgement, was visibly shaken. If not for her recent upgrade to a third-generation divine body, with enhanced computational abilities that allowed her to erect multiple ice walls in an instant, she wouldn't have survived.

Ato, having been shielded by Xue Yi, hadn't taken the full brunt of the attack. Still, even with his third-generation demonic body, he sustained injuries.

"Are you okay, Ato?" Xue Yi asked, concerned.

"I'll be fine. I'm healing quickly."

"Good. We can't keep fighting like this. I need to call the Queen. We'll take down these angels together."

"Queen Morgana..."
