102: I'm complicated

I had seen fire burn down the place that I'd called home for most of my life. My eyes caught a glimpse of death at its worst when it claimed the second prince, the saints, and the royal family. 

I saw war, as the demons made an example out of anyone who disagreed with Zephirin's coronation. Zephirin was now king and a tyrant one at that. 

There was nothing left, endless dust and ashes of what used to be. I was too drained to continue being pissed at how things went down. I resigned to my fate and went where the tides led me. 

I walked by the bustling market of Newhill village, where I found refuge after leaving the palace. Perusing the stalls for anything interesting. 

My eyes started to see the world in black and white. Either I like something or I don't, there's no in-between. The borderline of the colorful way I used to view the world was tainted.
