Nothing I Can Do

(criticism is welcomed) As per request from a reader, I will put a description: Ash has lived a sad life. Her mother abandoned her. Her father, with accusing cold eyes, blames her for what happened. Ash has lived in this world sad and broken. That is...until a certain girl throws her world upside down... (Note: I know it's short, but I don't want to spoil it too much. Also, it won't be completely sad, they'll be wholesome moments in there too. To make it authentic and stuff. Anyway, enjoy!)

Quinn said nothing after I finished. I waited with my head down, my body shaking. Wishing for everything for her not to react badly.

"That asshole!"

Startled, I look up at her. I've never seen her so...angry...I've never seen her curse either. She always appeared to be so calm...

I felt something stirred in my chest as my face began to twitch into a smile, I quickly hid it before she saw.

"How could he treat his child like that!?" She asked angrily, throwing her hands in the air.

I was used to seeing anger. My first instinct being to hide...but...

I didn't with her...She made me feel comfortable and safe....and seeing her get so angry...it made me happy to see someone do that for me..

"It's not even your fault that it happened! He's just acting like a child that lost his toy and blaming you on it! Geez, can't he see that he himself is the problem here instead of shifting the blame onto you?"

She sat heavily with an angry sigh and sat there, with her eyes closed, still looking very angry. I stared for a moment before I instinctively went between her arms, curled my body to fit hers and buried my face into the crook of her neck. She stiffened with surprise before she slowly relaxed and wrapped her arms around me.

Hahaha, I decided to add a little bit of my girlfriend's personality. Just a bit though, Quinn is after all her own person.

Also, I'm sick and it sucks •́ ‿ ,•̀

Jayden I love you, please don't get mad at me XD
