Chapter 20

“Come ‘ere you maverick,” chimed in the second, shorter, huskier man who had a full salt and pepper beard and twinkling eyes.

Brendan turned and trotted toward them. They wrapped their arms around each other in a three man bear hug and, much to Adam’s surprise, each gave Brendan a kiss full on the lips. He felt himself plump in his tight jeans.

The men broke their embrace and turned toward Adam, who smiled.

“This is Adam. Adam, Gene,” Brendan said, indicating the shorter man, “and Roy.”

The two smiling ranch hands walked toward Adam. They stopped. Roy stroked his goatee. “Adam, huh?”

“That’s what the man said,” Gene added.

They exchanged glances—and with hands on hips, Roy still rubbing his beard—began to walk around Adam, looking him up and down appraisingly.

“Hmm…a redhead,” mused Gene. “Always said you liked redheads, didn’t ya, Brendan?”
