Chapter 6

Fei Yuming was very confused about what had just happened. One moment he was working in the shop, just like every other normal day since he got the job, then the next moment, he was taken away by some stranger. Did I just get kidnapped? He asks himself. I think I just got kidnapped by some young master..... oh my gosh... Fei Yuming starts freaking out inside.

"Xiao Bai. What's going on? Are you sure that everything is okay and this guy doesn't have any evil intentions?" He asks Xiao Bai in his head.

"Yes Host. I am sure this guy doesn't want any harm to befall you. All I can sense from him is curiosity right now." His system responds.

Fei Yuming was very puzzled right now. Why would anyone want to kidnap him? What did he do to warrant some rich noble family's interest so much that they would go to such lengths just to kidnap him?

Yu Xuewei brings in a crystal ball similar to the one they used to awaken the spiritual roots and asked him "I'd like it if you could touch the crystal ball so he can see what grade and types of spiritual roots you have.

Fei Yuming asks "Why do you want to know something very private like that?"

Yu Wuewei says "If you don't have the certain spiritual roots that are required then you would be brought back to the shop and left alone because that means that you weren't the one I have to find, but if you do have the right roots then you can gain a lot more than you would ever dream of.

Fei Yuming touches the crystal ball hesitantly and it lights up with all the colors very brightly. It shined even brighter than it did before when he was 8. This crystal ball was clearly of a higher grade than the last one he touched.

Yu Xuewei was quite surprised. "You have a grade 12-14 spirit roots for all the elements. As for the details in which elements you have are grade 12 and which elements are grade 14, it is too hard for me to determine right now."

Fei Yuming was confused when he heard about grade 12-14 spiritual roots. "What do you mean by that? Don't the grades only go from grade 1-10?"

Yu Xuewei "The grades 1-10 were for the mortal world but the upper world is otherwise known as the immortal world the grade 10 spiritual roots were more common than in the mortal world the grades that I know of so far go up to 20, but that's just a legend for right now. The spiritual roots could be strengthened from the base root and rise to a higher grade with the right help."

Fei Yuming was very surprised and said "You're from the immortal realm!?! Wow, that's so cool! Why would you go back to the mortal realm to find someone like me?"

Yu Xuewei says, "My lord told me to come here and find him, but as for why, I do not know. I was just told to go fetch you since I came from the mortal world, I have family here and already knew this place.

Fei Yuming was quite interested in how one would ascend to the next realm so he asked him. "How did you ascend? Is it some lighting tribulation that you have to pass that will obliterate you if it hits you, or is there some barrier that you have to break to prove your strength? Or maybe a bunch of trails that you have to pass to ascend?"

Yu Xuewei was amused by Fei Yuming's energetic spirit and a small smile crept up onto his face, "Calm down little buddy. There is no lighting tribulation that will kill you," he says with a little laugh. "Nor are there any trails to go through. There aren't really any barriers to break either. It's hard to explain really. I'd have to say that it's more like a portal that one can only see and find after they reach a certain cultivation realm."

"Oh. That's interesting." Fei Yuming said. "How did you come back here? Can you just come down anytime?"

"Man." Yu Xuewei said "Don't you have a lot of questions young man? Once someone ascends to the next realm, they can't go back unless they have certain resources to go back. This was put in place so that the people from the upper realms couldn't just go back down to the lower realms and kill everyone or accidentally destroy the lower realms."

"That makes sense." Fei Yuming said.

"Anything else?" Yu Xuewei asked.

"Not right now..." he says.

"Host." Xiao Bai said suddenly "You should ask him if he can take you somewhere with extreme yin energy so you can hatch the egg. The full moon is right around the corner. If he can take you there then you would be able to get there on time. If not then you would have to wait for another month."

Fei Yuming had in fact almost forgotten about that egg he got. "Do you know any good spots that have a lot of yin energy? I need to do something that I can only do in a spot with yin spiritual energy."

Yu Xuewei wondered what he could possibly want to do in some freezing cold and unfriendly place like that but decided to keep that question to himself. "Yes, I do. I can take you there whenever. When do you need to go there?"

"In a few days." Fei Yuming says and then gives out a big yawn.

Yu Xuewei realizes that it's late already and they've been talking for quite a while now, so he calls for a servant, "Could you get some food for Fei Yuming and prepare a room for him to stay in please?" he asks the servant and he nods and leaves for a few minutes and comes back with some soup then leave to get the room ready.

Yu Xuewei leaves Fei Yuming to finish his soup and starts to cultivate again but stops as he realizes that he isn't really making any progress, but rather hurting his cultivation since the energy in the lower realms is not as much or pure as the upper realm.

After Fei Yuming finished his soup, the servant came back and led him to his sleeping quarters for the night, which he was shocked to see how big and fancy it was. "Thanks, you can leave now, I'm all good here." He tells the servant and settles down on the very soft and fluffy bed.
