Chapter 11

It was my first date.

We agreed to watch a movie together.

I didn't know what to watch, so I let her choose a movie that she wanted.

I waited at the agreement place 30 minutes early.

Damn, I never this early for anything.

Maybe I was too excited.

I saw a huge mirror for sale next to me.

I saw my reflection in it.

I look weird.

That's what I thought to myself.

I wore a green t-shirt and blue jeans.

Honestly, thinking about it, I didn't look that bad at that time.

Maybe I was too nervous about it.

15 minutes later, she arrived.

"Kyle? You early. I'm quite surprised,"

"Nana?" My voice suddenly went quite high-pitched. "I'm sorry I was too early."

She looked at me.

She giggled. "No, I'm not mad or anything. I'm also early."

I smiled at her.

I'm such a pathetic guy.

But she didn't seem to mind.

Rather, she seems to enjoy it.

We went to the cinema.

She told me not to look at the movie's title as a surprise.

When she told me to open it, I saw a movie called 'Saturday the 14th'.

It's a horror movie.

I never watch it before, but I heard a lot of scary stuff about these movies.

I took a look at Nana and she was smiling at me.

Unfortunately, I'm almost immune to horror stuff.

there's nothing that could scare me.

On the other hand, I could let her hold my hand if she was scared.

This was gonna be interesting.

So I thought.

I have to go to church.

I must confess my sins before the evil entity went to my house and kill my family.

That movie was too scary.

I remembered I screamed like a girl at one of those jumpscare scenes.

I felt so ashamed of myself.

When we finally went out of the cinema, Nana laughed out loud.

She laughed too loud that most of the people passing by were looking at her.

My face felt so hot.

This probably the most embarrassing moment of my life.

However, seeing her like this, laughing like this, I felt really happy.

When you looked back at the time we first met, there's no way she is gonna act like this right now.

"Nana!"

Suddenly a middle-aged voice was heard from a distance.

Nana stopped laughing.

She stared at the man as he was walking towards us.

"Dad?"
