Anyone who entered Vincent's room now would suffocate due to his domineering aura that seemed to make the whole place chilly, he was getting angrier, not at his sister but at the stupid nobody that had just made his lovely sister who had gone through a lot disregard his advice, Jaden had saved his sister and that was the only reason he couldn't really hate him.

Layla had just suffered from trauma and he didn't want any pretenders getting close to her again.

He liked to keep his identity private and though Multiverse was a well-known name all over the world, very few people had seen the CEO of this great company, Layla's friends would have thought twice if they knew whom they were offending.

Layla had helped her friends all the time, she even made them secure their dream jobs because her brother's company had a vast variety of businesses and industries, she helped them both publicly and secretly but her friends backstabbed her, they thought she was always the favored one, she was calm but her presence always attracted handsome boys and her friends felt invisible around her, Layla never paid attention to any of the boys and her friends only hated her more, claiming she was cheap and she was a hypocrite, got whatsoever she wanted without stress, while they had to work hard to earn theirs, they weren't even aware that no matter how hard they worked, they wouldn't have gotten to where they were without Layla's connection. Her two pretenders, so-called friends had hooked up with a rich married man, Layla had been deceived, her friends lied to her that they were going on a business trip, but they had gone on a vacation with men.

when one of the men's wife found out that her husband was cheating, the girls framed Layla up, they wrote a lot of disgusting things about Layla while claiming to be exposing the one everyone referred to as "unmatched beauty", it didn't take Vincent up to thirty minutes to clear up the mess, but little damage had already been made, the wife of the unfaithful man sent assassins after Layla to kidnap and kill her, the assassins so how eye catching Layla was and were about to rape her before murdering her, they had bitten up Layla and made her weak when she tried to fight back.

One of the men was about to tear her clothes, but Vincent and his men stepped in just in time, the assassins had acted too fast, but this young CEO had his eyes all over the city, the life of his most treasured person was at risk and with just a short notice he was there to kill everyone who had dared to lay a finger on his beloved sister.

Vincent took down all the assassins who came at him with ease, these people were professionals and had undergone training for years but before Vincent, they were like ants, he sent all his men to deal with the two men around Layla and surround her so she could be safe, he told them to keep her away from him because he didn't want to the only person he cared for to see him as a villain, he took down seventeen men at an incredibly fast pace which made his men doubt if he was even human, he was about to go to his sister but sensed some slight movements behind him, Vincent pulled his trigger and fired before even turning to see who it was, his men were stupefied by the sight they had just witnessed, and the man he just shot screamed in pain with a dumbfounded look, how could this man be impossibly fast and alert, his instincts were scary! he waited for Vincent to get distracted and got behind in the dark but Vincent still sensed him and shot a moving target without even looking, the assassin now realized that his end has come, but he didn't want to die, he had trained for years and became an assassin because his family all depended on him and they paid him well and he got rich in no time, it was always full of dangerous operations but they were highly skilled professionals who never left a mark behind for the police, he had even gotten married and loved his wife and family more than anything, if he left them now they would all suffer.

"sir don't kill me please, I'm sorry this will never happen again, we were just doing what we were paid for, I promise never to do it again, if you spare my life, I will serve you forever, just don't kill me, my family will get into trouble", the man pleaded with Vincent, but when he looked up at his face, his fear could only increase, the man looked more dangerous than anyone he had ever seen, he was too handsome, and he looked like he was going to swallow anyone that spike to him whole.

Vincent looked at the foolish man and his lips curved up with a thin smile, he found it funny that an assassin was begging for his life, they had dared to hurt what he lived to protect, and now he was begging for his life, "how hilarious, don't worry about your family as they will soon follow after you, your whole generation and that of those involved in this must go down" Vince thought, he didn't even bother to reply this man as he felt that it was a waste of time. Vincent pulled the trigger again and this time, he blew off the man's head without thinking twice, he dropped the gun and immediately went to see his sister.

Layla who had calmed down a little immediately burst into tears as soon as she saw her brother, she was so happy and the tears continued to flow as she ran to meet him.

"Vince, who did this to me? I haven't offended anyone, I swear! I've never hurt anyone intentionally but why does bad luck seem to follow me? I've always been so unlucky, brother they wanted to rape and kill me, I have no idea why". Layla spoke as she held on tightly to Vincent as she would never let go.

Vincent's eyes watered up and he felt like someone squeezed his heart when Layla spoke, they had tried to rape her! That was unforgivable, he blamed himself for everything, he spent all his time working and trying to keep Layla safe but he had failed terribly, she always ended up getting hurt.

"Sorry I'm late Layla, I'm so sorry, please forgive me, it's ok, I'm here now, everything is fine, I'll never let anyone hurt you again," Vincent said as he fought hard not to cry In front of his employees, everyone knew him as the dangerous CEO, not a weakling

" Tell me Vince, who did this to me who wanted me dead, did I offend anyone?" Layla asked again.

"The people you call friends Layla, they did this to you, the framed you up, after everything you've done for them they still had the guts to set you up!, but don't worry, they have touched the wrong person, those two prostitutes and everyone they know will be wiped out of this world just this night, they dared to offend me and I don't let anyone who dares me go Scot free". No Vince, please don't" that was the last thing Layla said before she lost consciousness, her heart was already weak, her friends were the last people she could ever suspect and immediately she heard that they had cost this, her brain couldn't process the info well and her heart gave out in panic, she hadn't felt this bad when they were about to kill her but hearing about the people that backstabbed her triggered a different emotion, she fainted in her brother's arms and was immediately brought to the best hospital around as fast as they could. she had a had failure and needed a transplant immediately, Vincent was even more influential than the president and the government of the country and was able to get a heart in no time, the surgery went successfully and Layla was discharged after she recovered. Vincent didn't let anyone involved in this case get away, the woman who hired assassins to kill his sister was arrested and the man went bankrupt, he lost everything he had, Layla's friends were brought to Vincent's torture room but their families were spared, he was so lenient with them even though all he wanted to do was kill everyone because Layla didn't want him to.

Layla was not supposed to go to work or anywhere else for a week, Vincent had assigned his bodyguards to watch over her because even his enemies were after the life of his sister, and he knew he couldn't always keep her by his sight.

But Layla managed to sneak out again and ended up in the grocery store, she had internal bleeding, and that caused her to pass out. when she was rushed to the hospital and Vincent learned of what had happened, he immediately fired the doctors and arrested them, that was one of his hospitals and he didn't promote carelessness or costly mistakes, his sister would have been dead now if not for the people that gave her CPR in the store while waiting for the paramedics.

Vincent knew Jaden had no bad intentions but he had gotten all of his information the very day he saw him with Layla, Vincent thought he was a lousy good for nothing, an ordinary teacher who still lived with his mother, Jaden had money but it was nothing compared to Vincent's riches.
