For Every Hour That Passes, I Break One Bone 2

It's been a while since Ariana had been chasing after Kitty. Just like a cat, Kitty snuck and hid in different rooms using the benefits of crowded hallways and similar nurse uniforms. Even though Kitty thought that she was smart, Ariana was even more intelligent.

Ariana had experience of chasing after people like her, so she already attached a tracking device on Kitty without her noticing. The tracker was stuck to her back, so wherever she hid, Ariana would be able to find her almost immediately.

Since Kitty had worked at the hospital for quite some time now, she knew perfectly well where tools were located. Purposely, she took needles, syringes, vaccines and anything related to other patients as she passed by the hallway to attack Ariana who was catching up to her.

Ariana skillfully dodged the items, collected everything that was thrown towards her and stuffed it inside her pockets. As Kitty rushed through crowds of nurses, the rubber band that held her messy bun together loosened its grip and released her long hair.

"Perfect chance!" Ariana smiled. She stretched her arms out and jumped onto Kitty's back while tugging her hair from behind. "You want to play chase the fucking cat game? I'll show you the prize for catching your fucking ass! Did you enjoy throwing all those tools? Well, say goodbye to your pretty hair and what you have now before I use every tool you threw at me on you! You also better pray for my friend to be alright because if anything happens to her, a hell hole awaits for you."

Chen Nan came right in time to help Ariana put Kitty in a headlock. He stepped forward with his suffocating grip around Kitty's wrist. "Let's go," he said after making sure that Ariana wasn't hurt.

She smirked, "I have an even more exciting way of teaching her the lesson for messing with my friends. I'll show her a nice, long route to the everlasting hell that exists on earth." With one hand, she grabbed Kitty's long, thin hair similar to how owners pull on dog leashes when their dog misbehaves during its walk and dragged her across the hall. Chen Nan followed closely from behind to make sure Kitty had no rooms to escape.

In the middle of walking, Kitty tried to slip away from Ariana's hands, but failed miserably as she ended up tripping and falling on her small ass. Ariana glared at her disobedient action and decided to help the cleaners wipe the floor by making Kitty into a human mop.

Before Kitty could get up and balance herself, Ariana began tugging her hair and walking hurriedly to Susu's room. Everyone watched as Kitty screamed and hugged her scalp using her hands while her body slid down the hallway. Nurses were impressed by Ariana's strength as she made it look so easy to drag an adult's body by their hair without stopping once to rest.

Those who wanted to help couldn't because Chen Nan revealed the Zi family's badge as they walked around the hospital. Zi family's badge was widely known for top missions and even if government officials were present, they would have to step aside. Finally, they reached Susu's room.

Before entering the room, Ariana violently ripped off a third of Kitty's hair out of her scalp as punishment for trying to escape earlier. "Now, get your stretched ass pucker face in there. You aren't getting away with what you did, and whoever is behind this will be tumbling down the sewers with you."

Ariana threw Kitty across Susu's room and followed up with Susu's present condition. After hearing and seeing Susu's unconscious body laying on the bed, she took out a scalpel knife and slashed deeply across Kitty's left cheek. Afraid that her screams and disgusting voice would interrupt Susu's rest, Chen Mu reminded Ariana, "do whatever the heck you want with her, but don't kill her. Also, cover her mouth. She's disturbing Susu."

"Thanks for the reminder," Ariana wore a clean pair of gloves, took out a dirty cloth filled with pus that Kitty had previously thrown at her and stuffed it in her mouth to prevent her from screaming.

She pulled off Kitty's name tag, "Kitty, huh? Your parents must regret giving birth to a sneaky butthole like you. People say, a parent's worst fear is giving their children the wrong name. This phrase fits perfectly on your ugly nacho nose. Cat." The name tag was used as a slapping tool against Kitty's bloody face.

"Listen to me carefully, for every hour that passes that Susu remains like this, I will break every tiny, little bone in your body. There are approximately 206 bones in an adult's body, and I will start with your smallest bone. If she dies, you will not die easily. I won't give you a quick death. Even if Susu survives, you're not getting away from any of us." Chen Mu's chilling tone was similar to the touch of a sharp cold blade's tip against the back of one's neck, making every strand of hair on her body stand up uncomfortably.

Ariana turned around and looked up at the ceiling to control the mist layer in her eyes. She gathered herself together and tied Kitty's limbs up before going out of the room. Flashbacks appeared in her mind and hot tears rushed out of her eyes. Chen Nan comforted her in his arms while whispering, "It's okay.. Shhh. Shh. With us here, she will be fine."

"No. It's not fine. Once again, I failed to protect someone close to me. Even though we've met not too long ago, I've decided to treat her like my own sister. I was right there, yet I didn't find anything wrong with that infusion. Susu even mentioned the timing being off, but we trusted that bitch! What should I do? What if she never wakes up?"Tears streamed heavily down her cheeks as she blamed herself for what had happened.

Hearing Ariana's words, fear crept into the heavy souls of the elder man and middle aged woman who just arrived. "What's wrong with her? Is it Susu? What happened? Why are you crying?!" Zi Yan grabbed Ariana's shoulder and turned her around. She didn't even have a second to settle her breath as she shook Ariana for an explanation.

Zi Yan's arms trembled along with the rest of her body. She stuttered as she failed to get a response out of Ariana. Chen Nan tried to take his wife away from her, "We tried our best already." He didn't know what else to say at the moment, except for the fact that they've looked after Susu using their best efforts.

Preparing for the worst, Professor Luo Xia held back his tears and asked, "Can we see her?"

"No! It can't be true! It can't be. I haven't even met her yet. I didn't even have a chance to talk to her, hug her, eat with her and do everything a mother should have done for her daughter! Didn't you guys mention about matching donors?! I'm a donor. I'll give you any of my organs. I'm healthy. I'm her mother! I'm her mother! I'm the one who gave birth to her, not Zi Lan! Test me. Take whatever you need to save her! Please!"

Professor Luo Xia hugged Zi Yan tightly as he let go of his last bit of self control and released the waves of tears that he was holding back. He whispered, "it's grandpa's fault. Grandpa wasn't able to protect you, my dear. And now, I don't even have the chance..." The two of them sobbed hysterically; catching Chen Mu's attention from inside the room.

He walked out and helped them up, "Professor Luo Xia, you're Susu's grandfather? And you...you said that you're Susu's mother?"

They nodded and wiped their tears away with tissues that Chen Mu provided. "Susu's still alive, but her condition is not too well. She fell unconscious, so it's best for you two to visit her quietly. She shouldn't go through any emotional moments for now. It's not my place to ask any questions right now, but I'm sure she would love to hear your stories whenever she wakes up."

"Thank you. Thank you so much." Zi Yan and Professor Luo Xia gave Chen Mu a tight hand squeeze before entering Susu's room quietly. Chen Mu didn't question the credibility of their words as he remembered Susu's mother's face from her photo album. If what they said just now were all true, then everything would make more sense than before.

Since there were more than enough people to stay with her and Chen Nan was in the room to monitor Susu's condition, Chen Mu could finally join Lin Que at the lab to quicken the process of identifying the infusion from earlier.

Inside the room, Lily wasn't sure how she should react after hearing about their identities. She greeted them politely and apologized for what had happened. Zi Yan comforted her as she observed Susu's condition, "we don't blame you. It's the cancer that's killing her."

"No, it isn't. That bitch in the back of the room did this to her by giving Susu some unknown drug in the middle of her chemotherapy treatment." Lily explained to them about what had happened while Kitty shivered in fear. She shook her head and tried to explain herself, but a ribbon was tied from her mouth to the back of her head to prevent the cloth from being spat out.

The room dropped in temperature as Professor Luo Xia and Zi Yan's desire for a bloody avenge heightened. Their bodies turned around and eyes glared murderously at Kitty.

"Dad, leave this fucktard to me. How dare she do this to my Susu?" She stood up from her seat and slowly approached Kitty. Professor Luo Xia stopped her, "not now. Susu's condition isn't clear yet. There must be someone behind this, but we can't act recklessly at this time. Let's wait for Susu to get better before dealing with her."

Zi Yan went back to her seat and rubbed Susu's hand."You're right. My daughter is the most important right now. Even though my egg wasn't the one that created you, I still love you more than myself. Carrying you for nine months was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You're my most precious treasure. Sweetheart, your mom is back. I came back very late. I'm so sorry. Mom has so..so much to tell you. So please, give me a chance to make it up to you. I am willing to trade anything including my own life to save yours."
