Nameless

The man who fell to the ground appeared to be in his twenties, lean and dark-skinned, with a slightly crooked official's cap on his head. His narrow eyebrows, bright eyes, and thin lips with a neatly trimmed beard gave him a look of both rigidity and cleverness.

Rubbing his waist as he stood up, the man's eyes flashed with anger. But when he faced the burly official, he put on a placating smile. "My apologies, Sir. I didn't mean to take your seat. It was an unforgivable mistake. Please, don't take offense and spoil the festivity."

The official, seemingly uninterested in pursuing the matter further after the man's immediate submission, waved him off dismissively, "Get lost, get out of my sight."

The disgraced man stood up and walked away, grumbling under his breath, "Just my luck, came for a free meal and ran into such a brute. If only I was stronger, I'd teach him a lesson..." His voice trailed off, seemingly reconsidering his words, then sighed and shook his head in resignation.

"Excuse me, Sir, please wait!" a voice called out just as the man had walked a few steps away.

Turning, he saw a table set up near the garden gate with only two people seated, a man and a woman. The man's refined appearance suggested he wasn't of martial or noble origins.

"Would you care to join us for dinner?" Magnus invited, gesturing to an empty seat at their table.

The man hesitated, then approached and sat down at their table, offering a wry smile of gratitude.

As they began to dine, a thunderous proclamation echoed through the garden: "Long live the Peers King! A thousand years, a thousand thousand years!"

The voices resonated like thunder, filled with awe and fervent worship for the man commanding such respect.

Meanwhile, at the humble table by the garden wall, Jeam Yew, previously enjoying his meal, suddenly stood up as if struck by lightning upon hearing "The King arrives." He sobered up instantly, respect and awe written all over his face.

Like everyone else in the garden, Jeam Yew turned towards the east and knelt, echoing the chorus, "Long live the Peers King!"

After paying his respects, the man noticed something surprising. The one called Brother Wei at his table hadn't budged an inch through the entire commotion. He was casually lounging, one leg crossed over the other, holding a glass of wine in one hand and stuffing abalone into Seraphina's bowl with the other, all the while watching him with evident amusement.

"Brother Wei, the King has arrived. Why... why aren't you paying your respects?" Jeam Yew asked, clearly astonished.

"We're separated from the eastern gate by the Spring Arrival Pavilion; he can't see us from there. Why should I pay respects, especially since I'm not acquainted with him?" Magnus replied nonchalantly.
