Looking for Mason

Amber’s pov

After the lecture, I left the class, ignoring Xavier, who keeps coming to me every chance he gets. I was sitting on a bench in front of the hostel, glancing at my phone, waiting for Mason to call. He has been gone for hours and it’s making me worried.

I dialed his number, but he wasn’t picking it up. Has something happened to him? Or is he just ignoring me? A lot of unanswered questions were flowing through my mind.

"Look at the scumbag who has the audacity to show her face in this school." I heard Elsa’s voice. She is nothing but trouble. I stood up from the chair and attempted to walk into the hostel when she blocked my path along with her friends.

"What do you want from me?" I asked with my head held high.

"Not much," she shrugged. "Since you don’t want to leave this university, why don’t you stay away from Mason bonehead?" She cursed. She might know about Mason’s whereabouts.

"Do you perhaps know where Mason is?" I asked. She burst into laughter, staring at me, and her friends joined in on the laughter.

"What’s so funny?" I asked, irked.

"You are dating Mason and you don’t know where he is." Elsa snarled.

"Do you know? Tell me, I will appreciate it." I said. She rolled her eyes and stared at her friends. After arguing with her friends, she turned back to look at me.

"I know where he is. Come with us. I will show you." She said and started walking away with her friends. I had a second thought about following them, but I had no choice. I really wanted to know where Mason was. We arrived at the driveway. Elsa and her friends got into her car and asked me to join them. I entered the car and sat in the backseat, wrapping my hands around myself because of the air con.

Elsa stepped on the gas and drove off. I was feeling uncomfortable with her friend in the back seat, who kept showing me pictures of naked guys.

"You like this one?" she asked. I gripped tightly to my dress, trying not to lose my cool, and looked away, looking outside the window.

"Say something, isn’t he hot? Don't you just want to lie with him and fuck the hell out of him?" she asked.

"Hell no." I replied.

Minutes later.

The car came to a halt in front of one of Mason’s father’s hotels. It sounds like a place he would come. I stepped out of the car, followed by Elsa’s friends.

"Thank you for your help. I will take it from here." I said, walking toward the entrance of the hotel.

"Wait!" she exclaimed, and I turned to look at her.

"What?" I asked.

"You can’t go in there alone. This hotel is for vip’s." She said, walking toward me. She held my hand and hauled me into the hotel.

We stopped at the receptionist's counter and she asked her friends to go wait back in the car.

"Welcome ma’am," the receptionist said, handing her a key.

"Did you book a room?" I asked bluntly.

"I come here sometimes, so I have a special room." She winked. She took me to her hotel room and opened the door. I walked in, although I was having an uneasy feeling.

I sat on the bed.

"I will go call Mason. I think he would answer my call." She said, walking to the bathroom with her phone in her ear.

I dialed Mason’s number one more time. Elsa was speaking softly in the bathroom. I couldn’t hear a thing. I tiptoed to the bathroom and opened the door a little snooping into the room.

"She is here, I just need you to..." My phone started ringing so loudly that it alarmed her. She turned to look at me with a devious look on her face.

"Are you eavesdropping on me?" she asked with a frown.

"I am not," I said as I answered Mason's phone call.

"I am sorry I haven’t contacted you all day, I am really busy," he said, in a shaky voice, I felt something was wrong.

"What’s going on? Tell me, where are you? I am at your father’s hotel." I said.

"Give me that," Elsa said, and pounced on me. We both fell to the ground. She was dragging my phone with me.

"Let it go," I said, through clenched teeth.

"You can’t tell him anything," she said, trying to cut the call.

"Hello, Amber What’s going on over there? Is Xavier picking on you again?" Mason asked.

"No, it’s." Elsa cut the call on me. I pushed her off my body.

"How dare you, if Mason isn't here, why did you bring me here?" I exclaimed. standing at akimbo. An evil smile curved across her cheeks. Her gaze turned toward the door, I looked at the door and saw two good-looking guys walking into the room. They both looked like body builders, with huge chests and veins popping out of their arms and persistent smiles on their faces.

My legs were wobbling as I stepped back, with my leg against the bed.

"I am glad you could make it, boys. I want you to fuck the hell out of her so she is unable to move." Elsa said. I was thunderstruck. My heart was pounding.

Elsa opened the dresser and bought a stack of money, handing it to them.

"I hope you guys took the pill," she asked.

"We did, ma’am." they both chorused in a deep voice, sending shivers down my spine.

"Good bye, Amber. Have a nice day." Elsa beamed, waving her hands at me, trying to walk out of the room when i ran to her and held her dress.

"You can’t do this to me." I stated, glaring at her.

"You are such a fool, I can’t believe you trust me," she said, removing my hand from her dress. I felt two strong arms on my shoulder pulling me away from her, while one of them hand slid down my back, giving me an uneasy feeling inside, a feeling of horror and pain. I couldn’t be an object for rape, but how can I escape the grip of these two huge guys? I stared at Elsa as she sashayed to the door of the room and paused looking back at us.

One of the guys slid his hand down my back and stood behind me. I could feel his boner my body shivering at his touch.

"Wait boys, I need to freshen up." I said bluntly, thinking they wouldn’t believe me.

Elsa’s eyes widened as she removed her hand from the doorknob and stared at me with her eyes wide open.

"I can’t believe you are a slut. Wait until Mason sees the thing he is dating." Elsa said with an evil grin, i have a feeling she is planning to call him over here.

The guys lied on the bed staring at me and ripping off their clothes, showing off their huge muscles. I have only had sex once, and that was with Mason. I can’t let my second time be a three-sum. I glared at Elsa and took a deep breath. I had an idea to escape with the two guys on the bed.

I walked over to Elsa and cupped her cheek, looking at the door with side eyes.

"You think I won’t like this? You must be kidding me. Who doesn’t want to sleep with two handsome white guys who are practically every black girl's dream?" I told her. She smirked, and lifted her upper lip in disgust, and removed my hand from her cheek.

"Be prepared to be destroyed. These two guys have taken drugs just for this night. By the time they are done with you, you will be bedridden." She said, with an evil grin.

"Me or you?" I asked and grabbed the doorknob in one swift motion before Elsa could grab my hand. I was already out of the room, so I shut the door from the outside.

"Open the door, you whore!!" Elsa yelled from the other side, banging on the door. I started hearing the sound of the key on the lock. Fear gripped me that she was going to escape,To my surprise, the door did not open, as if the bad things Elsa had done in her life were retaliating against her.I smiled when her screams filled the air.

"Don’t touch me. I hired you. You should be looking for a way to open this door and catch that girl. I heard her voice.

"We can’t help it, ma'am. You are the only one available." one of them said.

"Let go of me, someone help me!!!" Elsa’s voice filled the room. It seemed like the law of karma had got to her. My phone rang. I picked up the call while walking down the hallway.

"Where are you?" I heard Mason’s voice. He sounded tense.

"You don’t need to worry about me; I am okay." I said, walking out of the hotel.

"Tell me where you are," he declared.

I looked at the top of the hotel. "Your father’s hotel," I replied.

"Which one of them? We have a lot of hotels." he ranted.

"I don’t know, maybe the one not too far from our university," I replied.

"Wait there, I am coming for you." he said, and hung up.

I stood in front of the hotel waiting for him. I couldn’t believe Elsa tried to get me sexually abused. I hope she have fun with the guys. Droplets of rain started landing on my body. I raised my hand in the air and took a drop into my hand.

I put my hand above my head and, as the rain increased, I stood at the front porch of the hotel along with other passerby who couldn’t afford a room in the hotel.

A car pulled up in front of us. A man stepped out of the car with an umbrella above his head. I battled my lashes when I realized it was Mason, but this is not the car he normally drives. Well, what do I know? Rich people change cars like clothes. He put his hand around my shoulder and put the umbrella above our heads.

"What are you doing here? Don’t tell me you have started cheating on me." he remarked.

"Elsa brought me here, claiming that you were here because I was looking for you," I said, staring at his handsome face as he opened the door of the car for me.

"I can’t believe you fell for that. You are so dumb," he said. My face flushed, and I got into the car with him.

"Where is Elsa? I don’t see her anywhere," he said and fired the engine, driving away.

"I was worried," I muttered with pouted lips.

"I am sorry I made you worried. I was at the hospital with my mom when she got into a fight with my dad’s side chick." Mason said.

"Your dad has a side chick?" I asked. I can’t imagine my dad having a side chick. Maybe that’s how rich people live their lives.

"It all happened in a blink of an eye, I myself can’t believe he has a side chick, i will have to get them divorced if not my mom will be the one in pain, just like she is now." he said, with a sad expression. My head was on his shoulder.

"It’s going to be okay as long as you stand by her. Does she want a divorce?" I asked.

"I don’t think she does. She is still madly in love with him and has been depressed since she found out he was having an affair. I thought she was being delusional, but she was right. He was actually having an affair. I can’t believe their relationship, which took years to build, was coming to an end." he said.

"You need to talk to your dad and hear his option," I said.

"I don’t want to talk to him. He is being unreasonable. He doesn’t want to divorce her. He just wants to have a mistress and also my mom. He barely comes home."  he said as a tear escaped from his eyes. I wish I knew how to console him, but I haven’t experienced much and I don’t wish to.

"Don’t cry, you are a man," I told him, stroking his back.

"Stop touching me, you are distracting me from the road," he said, making a U-turn. His phone started ringing in his pocket.

"Take it out for me," he said. I slid my hand down his pants and took out his phone, staring at the caller. The number was saved as "My pleasure giver." I got jealous. I wonder who is calling.

"Who is on the phone?" he asked.

"My pleasure giver," I said, through clenched teeth. I picked up the call and put it in his ear.

"What! How could he? Just hold on a minute, I am on my way to the hospital." he said, raising his voice.

"Tell him to stay away from her. He had already broken her heart. He doesn’t deserve her. She deserves better." He added, and she cut the call.

"What’s wrong?" I asked.

"My dad went to the hospital to see my mom with a bouquet of flowers, apologizing to her after his side chick beat her to a stupor. I am not going to forgive him." Mason said foaming in anger and it remained me of Daniel i smirk.

"I am angry and you are smiling?" He said, raising his voice.

"No-no, I am not smiling because of you." I told him.

"Shut up!" he shouted, and accelerated the car as the rain made pitter-patter sounds on the roof.

When we arrived at the hospital, Mason walked ahead of me, walking heavily down the hallway. I took a deep breath and stared at him as he walked into a hospital room and a nurse ran out of the room.

"What the hell are you doing here? How dare you show your face here, after what you did to her!!" Mason said, raising his voice.

"Calm down, son, he is your dad and we are at the hospital." Mrs. Kings said. I poked my head into the room, staring at them.

"He is not my father. You could have died. He didn’t save you when you collapsed. He saved his girlfriend instead." Mason ranted.

"Chill, son. I just left her to call the ambulance." Mr. Kings protested.

"Ambulance? What a silly excuse. Do I look like a baby?" Mason asked, glaring at him.

"No son, but..." Mason cut in.

"We are at the hospital. Can you just leave before I lose my temper," Mason said, pointing at the door.

"Let him stay. I am enjoying his company." Mrs. Kings said, holding her husband's hand.

"He doesn’t enjoy your company. I think he is here because he doesn’t want you to divorce him," Mason said.

"I don’t want to divorce him either." Mrs. Kings said. Mason was stunned.

"But you have already organized a divorce agreement," he said, giving his mom a threatening look. He should be happy that they are back together. Why is he overreacting?
