Sorry

Everyone introduced themselves and it was Garen's turn before he knew it. He pondered for a long time on how he should introduce himself. He already knew what was needed to be said but, he felt like he needed to add something as a reply of some sort to what Liliane said earlier. Liliane acknowledge that he was her mate. He also really wanted to own it.

"I am Garen Rine, 16 years old. I am Liliane's Alpha." He stood so humble unlike other Alphas his age which most are filled with pride and ego. It was almost unbelievable.

The boy stared towards Liliane, only to see her seem dissatisfied. The boy was quite taken aback that he could simply sat back down to his peace.

Then follows more students who also introduces themselves. Some also added the name of their own mates. Garen was astonished with getting to know of how half of the class are paired.

The bell rang marking their break time, [9:30 AM] and the time passed by so fast. Garen went on some vending machine and grabbed two bottled green tea. He went back to class and gave the other one to Liliane which, she surprisingly accepted. Garen felt like a little puppy, so happy being able to be noticed by his master.

"You called me your mate..." He sounded hesitant but, there was a faint trace of joy on his voice.

"It was just a normal declaration to avoid being targetted by other alphas in the future." Liliane sternly replied.

Sure, that did quite hurt Garen a bit. His day yet is full of a speed on switch from sunshine to rain.

"Lili..." Garen wanted to break the distance but, that seems to be far for now.

The rejected loverboy could only sit back to his own place.

There wasn't much event that day other than the introductions and some explanation of the rules and regulation of the verse and the school. Other than the meals provided by the cafeteria, the students can shop in a near convinience store with the allowance given to them by the system. The class ended and it was just noon. The students had lunch in the cafeteria and are mostly exploring the school afterwards.

Garen went back to his dorm and saw Liliane by the entrance. Her luggages have just arrived and are about to move it all one by one in her own.

"Would you like some help?" Garen asked.

"No." Liliane's coldness blew on the boy's heart, making it tremble and almost waver.

Liliane struggles as she tries to grab her luggage along with some boxes and a tote bag. In the process of her stubborness, Liliane drops the tote bag and there, slips out their primary school's graduation year book. A picture glides out from the grip of the pages and there it revealed the image of the two in the times of their closeness.

The two back in their primary days, were rivals and one of the best of friends. Garen as a primary student, he was smart, witty, popular, and he knew this and raised his ego up high. Liliane was a fighter, a smart girl with a sharp tongue and fought with her fists and words. Seeing their current state is unbelievable.

The current them is all upside-down. Garen learned humbleness and he is relieved of that but, it saddens him to see Liliane all quiet and cold when she used to be so fiery and passionate.

Liliane hurried to pick the picture and secured it back.

"Lili... Please, wait!---"

"DON'T. Call me with that mouth of yours." Liliane gazed at him with disgust, hatred reflected in her watery eyes, and more than that, she looked at him, filled with hurt and pain.

He almost forgot... How dare he forget? He hurt her. Just like her eyes right now, she stared at him back in the past with that very same eyes.

He remembers Liliane's degraded figure, drenched in foul water he threw on her, bruise marks on her arms left when he dragged her, pushed down to kneel before him. Even at those times, Liliane was still hanging strong. Until he said these words.

[You're just a disgusting Omega.]

Those words that ultimately crushed Liliane's heart... Were said by himself. He said those words, belittling her, trampling on her very being, saying she's nothing but a low-class creature existing to serve his desires and that she disgusts him so much. To the girl who was fiery and passionate, tactless but kind, brave and smart, impulsive but patient, loyal and loving, his warm sun, the one who never gave up on him even with such a detestable character. The one who endured many degrading words he threw, waiting for him... In his most worst state, she was patient and never tire to remind him of his goodness. She was this many wonderful things and he knew it best in the world yet, he said it anyways. He tore her heart, shredded it to pieces, and trampled on it many times. He... killed her.

Liliane left him there, woken back to the reality of his sins. Garen stood still until a certain amount of time, just about right to let Liliane go to her own room before he enters his own. Locking it, to sound his arrival but mark his restrains.

The boy rushed to his medicinces, aggresively gulping it down and choke as he slowly broke into quiet sobs.

Garen couldn't help but be weaken and fall on his knees. Tears glides down on his cheeks as his vission blurs. Squeezing his chest from the sadness he feels from his heart as he remembers the tortured look on Liliane's eyes. It was suffocating to the mere glimpse of it from his memories.

Garen pathetically laughed that his desires might have realized his dreams. Those nightmares he desperately wished to escape yet, he can't help but drown himself with the mere trace of her silhouette within it, him repeatingly shouting a plea yet, left ignored. The only difference right now is that he could softly whisper it once under a pathetic state and actually could never be heard by the lady he painfully long for.

"I'm Sorry..."
