Chapter 54: SELLENA'S WEAKNESS

Asmodeus took Sellena to the grand cages,

Where she heard many hollerings of pain, fear and sadness,

It would be a lie if she said she was not afraid,

After all who wouldn't? As you pass by their fates.

Many were almost if not, already crazy,

While others painfully stinks like that of the dead,

"Were they at least given water and food?

Because they look like they aren't well-fed,"

Asmodeus looks at Sellena, whose eyes showed symphaty like no any,

He looked at the people in the enclosures,

And in a serious voice he answered,

"Not many,"

Sellena kept on looking, as Asmodeus yawns,

"Sellena, hurry up I'm starving,"

But Sellena didn't even turn around.

Many were reaching out to her,

While others scream and cry,

Some even told her,

"Please kill us already, we'd rather die!"

Her heart felt tight and she fought back tears,

As Asmodeus pulls her away from their reach,

"They might hurt you, they're already crazy after all,

It's better to stay away a bit, than to be ripped to pieces like a doll,"

Sellena didn't answered and kept searching for boy,

"Sellena, not to interrupt, but what exactly are you looking for?"

The woman knew Asmodeus only wanted one thing, so rushing her then and now wouldn't be a surprise,

After all, his leacherous behaviour is his vice.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a mysterious she-demon,

Large spiral horns, and a complexion of a bluer hue,

She quickly moved with excitement to their direction,

And to Asmodeus turned, and asked him, "How are you?"

Asmodeus froze to where he stand,

This woman he slept with before but couldn't remember her name,

He stuttered several times and the she-demon failed to understand,

Feeling insulted she frowned, "I'm not playing games,"

He failed to mention her true name time and time again,

And that angered the demon, that she blocked and blocked his lane,

Seeking the opportunity, Sellena ran away,

As Asmodeus was stuck, guessing the woman's name.

...

The following cages felt different than the latter,

Its captives were healtier, and are incredibly much younger,

Her heart thumps faster,

Could it be that HE'd see her?

But in the far distance, she heard a piercing cry,

And when she furrowed her eyes, saw a little child,

Dragged out by Circe, who planned to gulp him up,

In her loudest voice, Sellena yelled for her to stop.

Circe widened her eyes at the woman,

Who dared stop her?

Angry and fascinated,

She walked a little closer.

"My, my, are you lost? Care to find your way into my stomach?"

Sellena shivered in fear, and for the first time she was dumbstrucked,

The demon opened her mouth to attack,

Until the little boy decided to give her tail a smack.

The demon changed her focus to the child,

As she roared and wagged her tail, this one she won't let slide,

Sellena stood between the two,

"Please, spare the child, I beg of you,"

Circe smiled, and pretended to think,

"Ah, what a touching scene of sacrifice, my poor heart did almost sink,

However I am not than kind, my darlings,"

She said as she ignored all their ramblings.

Sellena comforted the child,

As she whispered for him to run,

But stricken in fear the child only hid,

As Circe grabbed her, "Oh, what fun,"

She rose Sellena up, and played with her a bit,

Dragging her long nails around her cheek, and in the process made a slit,

Though small, it stung more than it was supposed,

Then Circe prepared to eat her up, as she was too hopeless to oppose.

The child screamed in panic,

And before Circe could even take a bite,

Something grabbed her neck, so firm and tight,

It forced the demon to let Sellena go,

As Asmodeus asked, so deep and slow.

"Haven't you saw the earrings she was wearing?

Or perhaps the scent of me on her, lingering?

The nerves of you to even hurt Sellena,

Do you want me to put you into the battle arena?"

Circe however, was not impressed by his threats,

"Lucifer gave me the boy, for doing all my quest,

But that bratty bride of yours, intervene me of my gift,

Of course that made my happy mood shift,

And all I wanted was to eat the child anyways,

If you could give me the kid, then all is good, and we'd part ways,"

Sellena quickly hugged the crying child as the other prisoners cry out,

All of which begging her to spare him, but Circe didn't mind the sound,

"Just give me the child and all is good,"

"Just get someone else, Sellena wants him, so to leave you should,"

"WHAT?! No-No-No! This isn't what I had in mind! Children have the best taste of all! You know that! They're my favorite!"

Asmodeus kept rejecting her and that made a fire in her lit.

She grew two enormous wings as her back slightly split,

And already hungry, she sped in to reach,

Asmodeus quickly pulled out, an amulet shaped like eye,

And in a deep voice, simply whispered "Die,"

Circe's eyes suddenly exploded,

As her ears fell of from her head,

She screamed from the top of her lungs,

As she began spewing off lots of red.

She lost her senses all at once,

Except for the intense feeling of pain,

She felt hopeless and dunce,

As she fall from the ground, already insane.

Asmodeus realized how horrifying it must be for Sellena,

So he tried to cover her eyes but Sellena was too busy covering the boy's,

Accidentally looking at Circe's direction,

She saw the most frightening scene of all,

Circe screaming, until she lost her voice.

Circe's body turned inside out,

With her own blood bathing her around,

And now lifeless, she fell from the ground,

And all of what to her, is a few wet mound.

Sellena fought herself from screaming and covering her own eyes,

And Asmodeus looked worried as well, already making her panic as twice,

"Lucifer is gonna kill me, I killed this witch!"

"Then why didn't you just cripple her?!" Sellena yelled in a high pitch.

"She was fast, I panicked," the demon replied,

"And now what are we gonna do now that she died?!"

"Uh...I du-oh! Belzeebub! Hey pal, help me with some-"

But the demon already found it's way eating Circe's remain,

And by the time Asmodeus could continue he was done,

"You greedy bastard! That's Circe's remains!"

"Oh shit, I thought it was dog meat, welp, too late to complain,"

"Lucifer is going to kill me..." he said in defeat,

"Yeah, he would...after all, you failed to be discreet,"

Belzeebub reminded as he began licking his hands,

"And you're just gonna continue doing that?"

"Hey, you're not the one to give demands,"

It wasn't too long before Belphegor arrived,

Angry that his sleep has been disturbed but more so of what he finds,

A dirty floor of blood and Asmodeus in such a tragic pose,

"Another stupid mistake of yours, I suppose?"

"Help me, Belphegor! I killed Circe by accident!"

"You killed her by pulling your amulet, and that's an accident!?"

"I'm sorry! I...look I guess I just wanted to show off my cool abilities to Sellena but I-"

"You idiot! Circe's been with us for so long and now here she lies!"

Belphegor smacks his face in disappointment,

"I can only explain to Lucifer but won't be able to change his judgement,"

Sellena felt her stomach turn in guilt looking at Asmodeus' face turn pale,

Not only did she endanger him, her mission also failed.

Asmodeus looked at Belpegor and pleadingly bowed down to his knees,

"Take Sellena and the child to my room, I'll take the punishment, please,"

Belphegor's look was surprised, but he nodded,

"I will do so, but be prepared for the storm to be coming,"

...

Lucifer's steps becomes heavier with every second passing,

His yellow eyes burning in anger, as he continued walking,

Asmodeus waited, his heart almost failing,

Especially when he saw Lucifer appeared in the darkness, frowning.

"Where has your brain been, Asmodeus?!

Among all my main allies, you're the one of little use!

How dare you kill a long time companion?!

For a woman you haven't even slept with,

Do you want me to blow you up with a canyon?!"

"N-no sir! I'm very sorry! I won't do it another time!"

"Hahah, that's the biggest scam, with no fine!"

"I-she tried to hurt my bride!"

"And you decided to end her right then and there, is that right?"

Asmodeus became quiet,

As Lucifer takes out his whip,

"You surely have been a burden to me and I'm trying,

But no matter what, your brain seems far from saving,"

"I let you get as many woman as you want,

And all you give me is THAT?!

Tell me, who is the unfair one among us two?

Without question, you know it's only you,"

The large wip with blades on the side landed on his back,

Time and time again it hit him until he couldn't hold back,

He closed his eyes and almost muffled Lucifer's ears,

As he gave in the pain, while Sellena's in fear.

...

Only Asmodeus' screams gave Belphegor the idea of what was happening,

He wanted to help him, but his stupidity sure is tiring,

However among all the stupidities he made this one felt new,

Why would he save a girl, he so barely knew?

Asmodeus fell to the ground, feeling weaker than before,

His horns spurted out from his head, for he lacked the energy in store,

No longer the face of a charming prince now that his horns have been exposed,

Asmodeus loathed his reflection,

A face he hated the most.

"Now, get out of my sight and make sure to not do it again,

Or I'll cut off your legs so you'll forever be to bed,"

Lucifer warned as Satan lifted Asmo up to stand,

"Lucifer trusts Circe, I hope you understand,"

Asmodeus nodded weakly and slowly walked towards the exit,

Where Belphegor waits, and when he saw him, slowly melts,

His back is covered in red and flesh was exposing loosely,

"I wasn't able to convince him, I'm very sorry,"

"Is she okay?" Were the first words Asmodeus muttered,

Belphegor couldn't believe it, after all he had suffered,

"What is she to you? Why didn't you let her die?"

Asmodeus felt silent, he either confirmed nor deny.

Belphegor helps him towards his room,

Where Sellena waits patiently, for either a good news or doom,

When she saw the beaten Asmodeus, though a demon she almost cried,

After all, Asmodeus could barely open his eyes.

Will upload tomorrow! Tomorrow you will unlock one of the characters' backstory!

The interactions here are an ice breaker for this story's dark themes, however tomorrow, I will use the darker theme of writing. Less banters from Sellena and Asmo. And more on the horrors happening around them.
