New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Unexpected Visitor (5)

The only people left swiftly get out, having a shocked expression on their faces about the swordplay Colton had shown.

The only people left are Nash and others. They were also amazed at how Colton used his sword yet all of a sudden, he cursed loudly.

"Shit!"

Colton thumps his foot once in disappointment when he realized that he didn't kill Six. It was a close thing yet so far.

Colton then relaxes before facing the rookies. He thought that he would see the archer in the group but he can't seem to see someone.

Seeing no one there, Colton proceed to look at the escaping newbies and saw they also don't have a bow on their hands.

'Who help me with the big guy then?' Colton mused inwardly before letting it out of his mind for a moment.

He faced the group once more and said with concern, "Are you all ok?"

Everyone nodded one by one with a faint smile on their face. Well, Nash was still expressionless as but he still tried nevertheless.

All in all, if not for Colton, more would die from the visitors which made them grateful for what happened today.

Colton smiled as a response before looking at the darkness, shouting, "Thank you!"

Nash and others followed his gaze and look at the familiar silhouette going out from it.

Everyone wave their hands at Gin and he waved back at them. He started to run towards the group and took a quick glance at Colton.

"How are you guys?"

"We're good."

"I see."

Watching the group chatting and talking with each other, Colton looked at them and mused, 'Looks like they knew each other. Hmm, so he is the kid who has been helping me, huh.'

After chatting with the group, Gin looked at Colton before bowing his head, "Thank you sir."

Colton nodded and also bow his head, "Without you, it wouldn't go well for us. Thank you too."

Receiving an answer, Gin raised his head up and saw that Colton was also bowing his head. Gin was weirded by the action and waited for a few seconds, yet Colton was doing the same action.

"S-sir. What are you doing? You don't need to bow to someone like me." Gin hurriedly spoke with his thoughts agreeing with him, 'Why are you bowing your head? Don't do it on a newbie like me...'

It was then that someone answered him, which made his thoughts stop thinking.

"That's him when he's thankful, don't worry." A man with the same armor as Colton spoke with his statement directed at Gin.

Gin nodded his head, with a weird expression under his mask before facing the group, who are still talking to each other. He gets their attention by gesturing them to group up while walking slowly towards the outside.

"All of you, we need to talk. It's important." Gin spoke with a serious tone.

Sensing and hearing Gin being serious, the group straightened their backs and waited for him to speak.

"First..."

It was then Gin started to talk about what's inside his mind and continued to talk about it with his group.

"..."

Hearing the things Gin is saying, the happy and easy-going atmosphere earlier turned sour with their faces replaced with a frown. He didn't even mind the group's feelings about his talk but he knew that it was an important and right thing to do.

'I'm helping you Nash so get what I was doing here?' Gin mused inwardly as he took a glance at Nash's expressionless face, 'For the payment, will you tell me what happened on the first timeline? Anytime will do good.'

As the group walks outside, only the voice of Gin was heard between them. The group just silently listened to it.

"Guildmaster. Something wrong with that masked guy? You seem to be glancing at him every time." Tim carefully asked Colton.

'He's an interesting kid and the could be said to his group," Colton answered with a smile, "Hey Tim, can you send a letter to Hans? Tell him to teach the archery class this year?"

"Sure sir." Tim answered and nodded at the same time, "And guild master, you can remove the sword on your hands now. The enemies are already gone."

Colton moved his head at the sword after hearing Tim. He didn't notice that he was gripping it so hard. With Seve's portal, it sucked half of its blade and the other half, its handle is the only one left.

Colton chuckled before throwing the sword down. He let out a breath as he saw that it was only one step away before they would go out.

Whoosh!

As soon as Gin was outside, he felt the humid air pass his skin.

After the talk to the group about his plan, Gin eyes had been stuck on the view that he currently sees within his sight.

'It's beautiful...'

The sky above was bright that you would be mistaken that it was already night, even though it already is.

The stars were twinkling with clouds covering half of the moon. Looking at the gorgeous view, Gin proceeds to looked at the horizon that seems to be endless.

As he moved, Gin could see that he was going towards some long stairs to go down at the tutorial. Moving down, he couldn't even see the end of the stairs as it was really far away.

Gin couldn't even see the ground, making formed a conclusion inside his head that he was in a high place.

Gin looked back at the tutorial and saw that they are three towards connecting to the place where he and his group held the trial.

'Goodbye.' Gin said inwardly before hearing someone calling him and everyone.

"What are you waiting for? Come on, let's go down." Colton spoke to the group and newbies alike, convincing them to go down.

Nodding at Colton, the newbies proceeded to go down with relief on their hearts. The same could be said on Gin's group.

Although some died, they tried to not let their mood down.

Well, as for Gin's group, they tried to be happy but remembering everything that he had said to them although it was not too much, it made them felt weird and the result was their atmosphere to turned gloomy.

"Ahhhh! Fuck!" Six let out a pained groan while using his hand to cover his bleeding neck.

"I'm here Six. Don't worry. I'll heal you." A woman in a robe spoke in a calm tone while healing first the neck of Six.

"Me first Eleven! I think this arrow will be stuck forever! Please!" Seven pleads loudly with his whole body shaking with fear.

Looking at the two, Eleven could only let out a heavy sigh from her mouth.

At the time when Third called her, Eleven knew that something is up so she immediately goes the usual place.

Time forward, Eleven only waited until a big portal appeared and saw the two men being like this. Seeing how their condition, especially Six, she felt like puking but she contineud to do her job anyway.

That led her to this painful situation.

"Seven... you know my powers, right? I can only heal and connect. Your left eye is already like that... even my healing is..." Eleven instantly stopped as she didn't continue at the words she would say.

Even so, she knew that Seven would understand her making her feel more regretful about it.

Seeing her stop made Seven realize that it was the case, causing him to laugh instead of cry, "Ha... haha... how can I face anyone now? Wait, how can I even face Fourth then...?!"

While she was healing Six, Eleven saw Seven was crying while laughing concurrently.

Although it is funny if it was others, Eleven instead took pity on his condition. It was her first time seeing Seven being like this but she couldn't comfort him now, as she has job to do.

After a few minutes of healing Six, Eleven finally calmed down and sits down on the ground for a moment as she wiped the sweat that formed on her forehead.

"What happened there, Seven?" Eleven asked calmly as she glanced half of her head, "I'm not mocking you just to say this but you're strong yet, not only did you fail but also received these injuries."

Seven scoffed before a faint smile formed on his face, "I know you're not trying to mock me so you don't need to tell it to me, Eleven. You're a good person."

"..."

"I realized now. We let our guard down. Me most likely." Seven paused before letting out a sigh, "The rookies are strong. We should have captured them easily when all of a sudden, a mysterious guy use his bow to hit my shoulder and eye. I use my power to deflect the arrow but it didn't work."

He let out a sigh, "Six would probably explain it to you guys when he became conscious. Ah shit, we shouldn't let out guard down. This wouldn't have happened."

"..."

Hearing his explanation, Eleven knitted her eyebrows and mused, 'An ability that can stop an Inheritance. That's... new or...'

Eleven fakes a cough, trying to get Seven's attention and voiced out her other thought, "First, I'm not a good person. Second, does something happen between you and Fourth? Maybe that's the case."

"Eleven." Seven paused as he looked at Eleven's eyes, "I don't want to talk about it."

"Ok, ok. I'll stop talking." Eleven swiftly spoke as she chuckled, "And, thank you for bringing back Six's arm. I can connect it on his body back."

Seven narrowed his eyes at the big man, scoffing at him. "Heh, It's just a coincidence that his arm is there."

"..."

He let out a painful groan after. "Argh..."

Seeing the pain start to get worse, Eleven swiftly moved and smiled bitterly, "You can rest now, Seven. I'll remove the arrow on your eyes and do my best to heal it. Just drink the potion to lessen the pain you're feeling."

Seven swiftly followed her and quickly gets the potion beside him which Eleven had given, when she decided to heal Six first.

He open its lid and emptied the bottle before he lets out a satisfied breath.

After putting the bottle on the side, Seven turned his head in Eleven's direction, informing, "Hey, didn't I say to call me by my name when we're alone?"

"We don't have time for that for now. This is a grave situation," Eleven spoke calmly before she continued, "Rest now, Seven."

"..."

Slowly, Seven's other eye started to close, muttering something that Eleven could hear.

"Goodnight Alaine."

Inside a tavern, a man, who is already drunken himself because of alcohol, raised his bottle up as he asked the person in charge to have another bottle.

"One more please!"

"Sigh… Hans. Stop this. You're already drunk." An old man sternly spoke to Hans, who had a weird expression on his face, "Go home!"

"I want a beautiful lady, old man. And wait..." The drunk man named, Hans paused before he continued, "This is my home, you know?! And I'm the boss here!"

"Yeah, right this is your home!" The old man shouted back, "But, you're getting us bankrupt here! Tsk, getting all the alcohol you want."

"But… I want a woman!" Hans continued once more as he continued to cry like a baby.

"..."

But seeing how this man acted like he wasn't one, the old man has already enough.

The old man quickly goes to the side to pick something up. After getting it, the old man raised the thing up and showed it to Hans, who looked at it with horror, making him straighten his body up.

A plank.

A huge one at that.

Hans gulps his saliva and wipes the fake tears, before saying with a salute, "Yes sir, I'll sleep!"

Although Hans was faking his tears, the old man knew that he was in pain could only watch him with sad eyes.

Having and feeling those experiences is sad and painful and anyone would have already given up on life if they were in Hans's position.

The old man sighed and could only smile bitterly, "Ok, just one more bottle and we're done."

Hearing those words that sounded like angels singing. Hans's face brightened up and hastily get bottles from the drawer.

"Thanks, old man!"

Seeing that many bottles, the old man frowns and said. "Hey, I only said bottle, not with an s. Hey, are you listening?'

Hans poured his bottle before looking at the old man. "If this is the last, shouldn't I also get many as—"

Hans only stop midway when he saw that old man raised the plank up, ready to smash it down to him.

"Ok! I'm sorry! I'll return it! Hahaha-haha." Hans apologized for a moment before thinking of a scheme inside his head.

Deciding what to say, Hans complemented the old man by saying, "You're already old but you're still strong, old man. Hehe, mind telling me how you get there?"

"Well…"

The old man rub the bottom of his nose before telling the tales about him becoming a strong person while Hans continued to drink the bottles happily, knowing that the talk would take a few hours.

But it didn't happen until the two heard a knock twice on their tavern's door.

The two suddenly stopped and both moved their head at the door. They knew that they're closed a while ago yet the knock was still heard.

They thought that someone is lost.

Hans swiftly stands up from his chair and goes towards the door slowly, leaving the alcohol on a desk. He opened it, revealing a familiar face on it.

"Hey! Tim. How you doin'?"

"..."

Tim stayed silent as he looked at Hans, who is red all over his face with a smell of alcohol throughout his body.

"You should stop this Hans." Tim waved his hand before saying, "Anyway, guild master asks me to send this letter. Well, he said it is an invitation to teach the newbies."

Hearing the word teach, Hans formed a slightly angry expression but he still accept the letter in a disgruntled way, by forcibly pulling it out of Tim's hands.

"I told you that I'm not doing something like teaching," Hans spoke, questioning Tim.

"I know that but this is important." Tim answered back with a serious tone, "Something happened at the tutorial, Hans and old man. Guildmaster fought someone at the tutorial and this someone knew guild master really well."

"Another thing..." Tim paused. "I think it is related to that."

"..."

Hearing it from Tim's mouth, Hans dropped the letter and swiftly grabs Tim's collar.

"You… don't spout that shit like it's a simple thing…" Hans spoke in a cold tone, "You talk like you know what happened there. "

"Yes, I don't what happened there," Tim spoke, unbothered by the glare that Hans currently gives at him, "But it doesn't mean that I don't want to help. It's related to guild and guild master after all."

Sensing his honest response, Hans calmed down a bit as he removed his hand and said, "Sorry, I'm just drunk."

"It's ok."

"So? Give me the importance of this letter." Hans spoke after picking up the letter on the ground.

"They're many but the most important is to protect the newbies and rookies," Tim answered calmly while fixing his crumpled polo.

Hans let out a sigh before moving slightly away from the door, "Come inside. Tell me what happened."

"No, I should say sorry. I shouldn't just talk about it like it's natural." Tim said as he felt he was wrong also before he entered the place, greeting the old man in a respectful manner,

The old man smiled as he was arranging a table to join the talk between the two.

"So, tell me what happens…" The old man spoke after he had arranged the table.

"Yes sir," Tim spoke respectfully as he sits down on one chair. "Then, I should start."

"..."

Tim began to explain the things he needed to tell. He explained the things about everything he had gotten from the rookies and Colton himself, with the two who are listening carefully.
