The group felt the shivers continuing, not by the monsters incoming, but to their teammate Gin. All of them are having a feeling of being naked from his eyes.
They're entirely wrong as it is not some kind of a perverts' eyes where anyone could see the body of a person.
Gin had gotten the two abilities but at different times. One was from his training with O and the other was when he and Jasmin were running after Luke was left behind.
The first was his All-Knowing Domain.
It is the ability he got when he was trained by O.
[All Knowing Domain
Description: With the user in the middle, the user could see everything in a distance of twenty meters in a circle. The user could do anything in it as long as it has soul to spare. Upgrade your eyes to unlock its full potential.]
And, the second one he had got was when he and Jasmin were escaping Luke, which is Reading Vision.
Its uses may not be that good as the other three he had got, but it was perfect for him when his role is an archer currently.
[Reading Vision
Description: The user could see the movements of someone or something within three seconds in advance. Upgrade your eyes to unlock its full potential.]
The team quickly focused on their surroundings as they don't have time to mind Gin's eyes.
Tak!
As everything fall into silence, only the sound of footsteps and cries of the monsters was heard in the holes. Gin used his eyes to see the groups' reaction but he saw how collected and calm they're which put a faint smile on his face.
Still, Gin speaks, saying, "Oy, let your tension out and listen to me. We're going to survive this trial so fully trust the things I'm going to tell you guys."
The reassuring voice of Gin only made them calmer with their minds being open, focusing their senses on the situation.
Screech!
With a screech, one monster entered the hole as it run in fours, running into the group with its mouth wide open.
Screech!
Then monster could be seen coming out from the back until it keep coming from every direction.
Screech!
Although they're calm, the group could feel the tension building up as it was their first time fighting a lot of monsters. Still, remembering Gin's words makes it stop.
Screech!
Unbothered by the monsters incoming, Gin gets an arrow from his quiver and looks at the monster that he knew would be coming from their position first.
Screech!
Gin position himself in an archer stance as he waited for the monster to close its distance. With one eye closed, he pulled the string of his bow and let it go, seeing the monster was finally close.
Whoosh!
The arrow flew fast, aiming the monster's head before it pierces through. It stopped for a moment but it didn't fall on the ground, readying itself to run again but Gin didn't give it a chance and shoots another arrow near the first one.
Thud!
Seeing the monster had fallen down, Gin quickly moved into the other one and continued to lessen the monster's number as possible.
Whoosh!
Nobody moved from their position and only Gin was doing as he keep shooting arrows. They waited for Gin to order something for them and they knew they had to wait for it.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, a monster had entered his domain and he instantly stop shooting. He focused himself in his domain as he was like a radar placed in the middle, scanning everything it could see.
But what if he could read it too?
He knew this is the right time to use his one week of soul as he thought that everyone beside him was tired. He needed to use it for his group's energy to not go to waste as to also avoid unnecessary movements.
Then, Gin had finally given an order, "Nash, run to my six and kill the monster instantly. Come back here after it and be safe."
Nash quickly nods as a sign before he swiftly moves his legs to the side.
Seeing him moving, Gin moved his head at Kisha and also give hers, "Kisha, see those two monsters from my eighth? Yes, that two. Obliterate those two with just a single shot. Be careful."
Having given an order, Kisha moved his head and turn her body there. Her hair was swinging along with the air, conjuring both fire and wind elements as she target those two monsters.
Whoosh!
"Grey, defend at my three and agro those monsters. Jia will follow you up." Gin spoke as she moved her head at the side, "Laura, add a little buff to Grey when he goes there. Just a little bit will do."
Gin paused, "I'll assist you guys if something happened. We need to clear that space so that if we're cornered, we could escape there. Carefully watch the monster's corpse when you're going there. It's bad if you trip there when you ignored that simple thing."
He continued to speak calmly, assessing the situation really fast inside his head.
"Hey, Jasmin, see what is the best way to defeat five monsters that are together. I need a brief and best one."
"Another thing..."
Gin continued to move his lips nonstop like a robot reading its report.
Because of that simple and acute order, the group moved fluently and came back to Gin with ease.
"Kisha, go burn those monsters at my front and be sure that not to overdo it..." Gin ordered quickly.
"Fire Blast!"
"Hey, Laura. Can you heal Grey if he received damages from the monsters? He will need it most likely. You can heal him now, I think he already receives some." Gin ordered another.
Laura nodded and used her light element to heal Grey. "Heal!"
"Thank you, Noona!" Grey thankfully said, receiving the healing magic.
Whoosh!
The group moved within Gin's orders.
Whoosh!
Kisha and Laura had continuously made any spells they could conjure. Nash and Jia swiftly moved their bodies and quickly go in the direction where Gin had ordered them to.
Whoosh!
Even though Grey keeps receiving injuries from the monsters, Laura could heal him to recover from the damage. Jasmin also did her job and already formulated what's the best method to do in some situations, making Gin surprised as it would make his job easier.
Whoosh!
They moved like a machine.
It's flawless.
The team also noticed it too on how they move faster yet their movements as fluid as ever. There is no error as Gin could give accurate decisions and directions.
Whoosh!
"Nash, deal the six monsters incoming at my left. Kill it faster and waste no time. If it's taking time, come back and we'll deal with it." Gin ordered as he glanced half of his head at Nash.
He just came back after he received an order from Gin but now he had given another one, wouldn't the person be angry?
But to Gin's surprise, he saw Nash smiling faintly at him.
Although his smile was a weird one, Nash continued to smile before speaking in a confident tone, "I think that's not needed."
Leaving the words behind, Nash swiftly moved his legs at Gion's left that only took a few seconds before he come to the place.
Screech!
'It's my first time using this in this timeline...' Nash mused inwardly before he raised his sword in a level on his head, with his blade pointing at the monsters.
Whoosh!
He began to run faster as his blade turned even redder. The monsters were in a form of a straight line, making Nash's decision to use it is a good thing.
'Thrust.'
Whoosh!
Nash position his feet at the right place before he accelerated in a second, appearing at the back of the last monster.
Screech!
All of them were instantly gone.
Whoosh!
Gin, who's still activating his sync, flinch. Not because of how fast Nash kills those monsters in mere seconds, but the smile formed on his face after killing them.
Gin, who's still activating his both Attribute and Inheritance, flinched. Not because of how fast he killed those monsters, but the smile formed on his face after killing them.
'T-that… bastard. That is so cool.' Gin complimented inwardly before facing Nash, who had just come back from his initial position.
"You really are strong Nash… really." Gin spoke in a proud voice as he glanced half of his head at him.
"No." Nash spoke flatly, "It's just that everyone here is feeling relieved, Gin. All thanks to you that everyone had a calm heart while they fight. They could feel that what you said is true."
Gin smiled, 'What did I say to you guys, again? There are so many...'
Tak!
All of them noticed that the monster had stopped coming for a second, making the group rest a little. They regroup themselves to Gin as he began to give them instructions about some things.
After he had done giving instruction, Gin looked around the whole place while he maintained his eyes activated.
He mused, 'These monsters are... too easy. Is it because this is still a phased one? Well, thank I guess?'
As if he had talked to something unknown and made it angry, Gin and his group could see something absurd appearing in front of them.
[Updating Phase One of the Trial...]
[Increasing the levels of the monsters]
[…]
[All stats had increased by ten]
[...]
[Increasing...]
[...]
[Ting!]
[70/300]
"This…" Gin muttered in a low voice with disbelief.
And the once collected them earlier turned a bit pressured. With the screen appearing in front of them, it does a little mental damage to them. Still, they remained calm but they could only look for Gin and Nash's expression and waited.
Seeing the two faces, they are composed after the screen had appeared and seems unbothered by it. Looking at their confident faces, the group instantly calmed down as the two had a look of 'no problem'.
Alas, they're entirely wrong as Gin was only calm on the outside because certain someone was calm as it was his disposition, making everyone beside him influence at his calmness.
But even though Nash could stay calm from this fucked up situation, Gin wasn't but he didn't show it at the outside.
'Increased by ten? Hah! My whole week of soul is decreasing here, you shit! I did say it's easy but it's exhausting!' Gin complained inwardly but he knew it's just how everything works.
It was unfair.
Gin waited for more seconds but the screen wasn't changing, forcing him to improvise the plan they had.
Gin let out a sigh from his mouth before saying something to them, "Let's change our way of doing things a little bit. First, conserve stamina and mana as much as possible."
Gin paused as he moves his head at someone, "Laura, just give anyone as minimum buffs as possible. I know your magic is high but we need your healing ability if something unexpected happens. The same goes for you Kisha."
"But, it wouldn't work as the monster coming out is now upgrading and would come out any second," Kisha concluded as conserving their energy was now not an option, "You know it will not work as we have to do our best to defeat those buffed monsters."
"Yeah, about that..." Gin spoke in a low voice before continuing, "I have a solution for that."
The group was slightly surprised but it was more like anticipation.
'I might regret this... sigh,' Gin mused inwardly as he glanced at Nash before looking back at everyone, "Nash and I are going to fight and over the half of this place. The other half would be the ones left, which is you guys."
"..."
Hearing it made the group fell silent and repeat the words inside their heads, before all of them formed a surprised expression on their faces.
Although Nash was still having the same expression, he was also surprised about Gin's suggestion of fighting together. He knew that an archer is always at the back but Gin, instead, wants to fight the monsters head-on.
An archer fighting at the front is unheard of.
Although anxiousness was formed as Gin said it, some feeling started to bloom inside him that made his anxiousness go.
Excitement.
"Yes, I know It is something out of the blue and I know it's crazy, but this is the only way to minimize the damage our team has accumulated." Gin answered their doubts before he looked at Nash and continued, "Hmm, If Nash agrees that is."
Immediately, the group moved their face in Nash's direction.
Tak!
The running footsteps started to reappear once again but Nash's mind was not on it as it was the words Gin had said to the group
Nash and I are going to fight together.
'Interesting…' Nash mused as he nodded his head, 'You never fail to surprise me, Hyu- Gin...'
Seeing him nodding, Gin gives the same response before saying, "It's been decided. Even though I don' tell you guys, I think you already know what to do. But remember to stay alive, ok?"
After leaving those words, the two men stared at each other before they started to run towards the other half of this gigantic place.
Facing numerous holes, it left a bitter taste from Gin's mouth as he formed a sullen expression on his face.
'Is this a correct plan? I just want to show them that I'm worth on their team so that they can't discard me when we are outside.' Gin thought inwardly before letting out a sigh.
Nash noticed the sigh which Gin had let out, and couldn't help but ask, "You okay, Gin? Is something bothering you or... is it me a bother?"
"Why are you spouting nonsense now?" Gin commented, "You have already done enough and I'm telling you that I am not being bothered by something. Besides, it's time for me to contribute something as I've been standing for quite a while."
Gin paused as he tapped his thighs, "My legs are feeling itchy from just standing, you know."
Nash let out a soft chuckle which weirded Gin out as it was his first time hearing it. Then, the two stopped looking at each other as they moved their heads forward, seeing the monsters entering one by one.
"I'll take the right side and go left, Nash." Gin spoke in a serious tone as he watch the monsters incoming, "After everything is done, come to where the others are located and regroup ourselves, got it? Let's go."
Nash nodded and turned to his left side. As he runs towards it while facing the monsters, he began to mutter three words under his breath, "Sword Fire Art."
Whoosh!
His blade once more turned red before he sprinted at the monsters with his usual expressionless face.
Screech!
Closing the distance, Nash raised his sword up and began to slash everything on his way with a style.
Slash!
He began to slash and dash after doing the killing. He quickly moved his feet and repeated the same process at the other monsters.
Whoosh!
On the right side, Gin glanced at the side and can't help but praise Nash inside his mind once more. After looking at it, Gin proceeds to do his job as well and look at one monster incoming.
[Truth Eyes-Reading Vision- has been activated.]
One monster entered the whole which made Gin frown as it stand up from its place, different from the other ones.
Screech!
Gin quickly analyze the monster and saw it was five-meter long and also on its size. Gin could only let out a sigh.
Blaming his luck for a second, Gin began to grip his bow hard before running his way through the said monster.
Screech!
The monster stretches its arms towards Gin, who immediately swerve to the right to dodge it. With its long arms down, Gin hops on it and makes his way onto its head.
Whoosh
Gin started to run faster as he dodges the monsters' other arm. He continued run in a fast manner before he finally was on its head,
Standing up from it, Gin swiftly gets an arrow from his quiver and nocked it on the monsters' head, pointing the arrow at it. He adds a little bit of his wind element before shooting it at the monster.
Whoosh!
The sound was low but the damage was not!
Gin could see that the monster had a hole in it, making him see the arrow he had shot that is now placed on the ground.
Swish!
The monster slowly goes down with Gin being the top of it.
After the monster gown down, Gin swiftly gets another arrow and moved to another monster he could see.
Whoosh!
The same thing could be said on Nash's side as the body he keeps accumulating, increases drastically.
Slash!
The group at the other half become slightly scared when they took a quick glance at their back.
They felt like a massacre was happening from there.
