New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Absolute Power

Gin was closing his eyes hard, thinking that the sun had appeared near him, hence making his eyes closed as possible.

That's what he is doing right now.

He was planning to endure the intense pain that O will be giving this time, for him to not unnecessary attention on the outside.

Gin was breathing heavily as he waited but moments passed, nothing happened. He was scared, making him use his hands to cover his head.

But as it goes on, no intense pain or even a pinch could be felt.

His thoughts were telling him to open his eyes but he quickly disregard the idea as he remembered something that made his eyes shut even more.

'N-no. This must be where the event if I open my eyes now then the pain comes after. Yes... that's it. That's the outcome I've seen in many novels. Yes...'

As Gin thought about it, the sweating on his forehead intensified and the same was said on his shaking legs.

Everything was continuing like that not until Gin heard a voice, which is familiar to him as it was what he keep hearing when he was inside the tutorial.

"I wish I have a video device on me, Gin. You look so funny right now. Hahaha." A monotonous spoke with a laugh.

'Eh? That voice...' Gin mused, 'O?'

Rather than being happy about the familiar voice, Gin wanted the beat it up instead for the needed trauma he acquired at that time.

"It's me kid and why do you look like that? Your legs are really shaking like cray even though this place is plain," O said with its usual monotonous voice before making a chuckle.

Not wanting to continue this any longer, Gin opens his eyes widely to see the god. He looks at his surroundings while forming a frown on his face.

He concluded that he was in a place where white was only there. It has no design but only pure white.

But he noticed that there were two things that doesn't have that color; himself and the god in front of him.

"O? Is that you? Is that your form?" Gin asked with disbelief as he watch the form of the god.

The thought of beating O up to death was instantly removed, replacing it to bow his head to it.

Gin scan the god from head to toe. O was in a form of black cloud mist but it wasn't enough to make him bow. The reason he was feeling to do it was he could feel an intense amount of pressure from O, which is even more powerful than the three monsters from the trial.

No, Gin thought it was miles above those three.

Heck, Gin didn't even know how the hell he can stand in the first place as he watches O.

'S-shit… what is this… Why is O so strong, fuck…' Gin mused inwardly before he remember the words that O left when he was being reached by O itself.

'I could snap my finger when killing a god.'

Gin thought that O was joking there as the word god is a heavy one but with just pressure alone, he felt like O wasn't lying, to begin with.

"..."

O, the god, saw it and can't help but form a smile even though its face couldn't be distinguished.

"You can feel it, right?" O teased with its monotonous voice.

Gin didn't cower in fear as he look at O's cloudy mist form at the part where eyes are supposed to be placed.

"..."

O waited as it watch Gin's movements to see what he will be doing but to its surprise, O saw him on his knees, doing a kowtow after.

Gin was doing the safest and easiest way.

"If I offend you about the things I said, p-please don't kill me." Gin paused as he formed a thought inside, "Is this consciousness thingy a lie all along? T-then, it is the revenge for the things I said to you, right?"

Coming to the conclusion, Gin grew scared, "I-I'm sorry, Ok? I'm sorry O. How about this, I-I'll be willing to be your slave if you want. It's a good deal, isn't it?"

Gin tried to voice those words out in a calm tone but the pressure continued to intensify, making him stutter each line.

Gin didn't even dare to look up and just waited for the verdict he would be receiving from O.

Seeing the scared Gin, O holds its laugh and decided to continue more,

"I-I'm sorry. I had planned to use my weakest replica but this is the weakest. If I had known that you will be this weak... sigh," O spoke as h sighed in regret.

But at that sentence alone, Gin was having some sort of enlightenment as he began to understand what the best choice is and the choices he will make in the future when O is involved.

He couldn't mess with O.

He couldn't talk shit with O.

He... he could be a slave to O if he had to.

'R-replica? You must be shitting with me...' Gin mused before he began to have another thought, 'Then, how powerful is the true one? Holy shit...'

He was in awe with his mind quickly moving, before a thought entered his mind that would probably be a good thing if he executed well.

Pleasing O. Using words, of course.

"N-no, supreme being. You shouldn't have apologized to a puny human like me, in fact, I should be the one saying it." Gin started with these words, "I truly believe, from the start, that you are truly a powerful and mighty being. But now..."

Gin paused, "Seeing you in a form where it is your weakest, my eyes became wide open. No, it's like they were blessed. Yes... they're blessed. You, Your form, is really magnificent that a mere ant like me is greatly happy. I was happy being born that I could get this chance to see this... phenomenal."

"..."

O wanted to laugh loudly but he hold it for a few more and play along, "Yes, you're right Gin. I'm truly powerful and mighty. At least you now know."

O paused before it continued with a cold voice, "You really know how to use words, huh. That's kind of funny."

Gin gulped a mouthful of saliva upon hearing it.

He had been caught! Well, he thought that it was the case only because of how O sai dit but he felt it is.

He wanted to try good on O's eyes but he felt like he, even more, dug his hole that it was already became deep.

Really deep.

'I'm doomed.' Gin mused inwardly as he awaits his death inside the white place.

"Pft."

Seeing the slight movements that Gin is making, the laugh that O has been keeping burst out.

"Hahahaha!"

The laughter was so genuine and contagious that you wanted to join in, but not where Gin someone was in the same situation as Gin.

"I'm sorry kid. I actually intended to make fun of you a little bit more, but I think this is enough." O spoke before moving its hand on the air slowly.

Snap!

O let out a snap before the pressure he was emanating slowly dissipated, making the place normal once again.

"You can always talk to me like you always do kid. I really won't kill you or anything." O said with a calm tone.

For the first time, GIn strongly disagrees about O as he swear in life that he would never curse O ever again.

Instead, he had formed a goal in a flash, which he knew would make his life safe.

'Be a good boy, Gin. At least to O.' Gin mused inwardly before standing up from his place, "N-No I couldn't do that, O,"

Gin began to scan O one more time and could feel that its appearance is ordinary. Only on the appearance.

"So, O. Will I really unlocking my consciousness? O-or is it something else?" Gin asked carefully and nervously.

"We will unlock it kid, and what do you mean something else?" O said in a monotonous voice with a hint of mischievousness.

"D-did I said that? Ha-haha…"

"Anyway, back to the topic. I was trying to find a solution on how to lock your consciousness but then suddenly, I remember it now," O spoke, nodding its shadowy head.

'Huh? What kind of excuse is that?' Gin questioned before quickly letting it go in his mind.

"Kuhum… this method is a bit different from others as it will also stop your soul from leaking completely. Anyway, enough of that." O paused. "What we're going to do here is... you know, what you came here in the first place."

"Listen up, in your consciousness, you can think of anything, do anything, as long as you have a soul to do it." O continued as it look at the confused Gin.

O sighed. "It is the same when you're using your all-knowing domain and iron element. You made the iron appeared like it's nothing, it is also the same here. Watch."

Gin squinted his eyes to see if O would demonstrate or show something to him and it really did.

Whoosh!

On O's back, many different types of misty colors started to appear on his back and it was not stopping any moment.

Snap!

Gin heard the snap from O's shadowy hand but his attention wasn't there but the elements that that flowing and floating at the god's back. The scene was mesmerizing.

Fire, Magma, Water, Poison, Sand, Air, Space, Light, Etc.

Gin tried to count more but he couldn't as either it was too many or unrecognizable. Yet, the elements felt soothing and beautiful making him feel calm on it instead of being scared.

'I wonder if Kisha's able to do this?' Gin mused inwardly.

Reading the thought on Gin's mind, O called and answered, "To be honest, Kisha is a gift from the system. A one in a million person. But this kind of thing, she could only do it once, Gin. Just one time."

"Just once?" Gin mused loudly as he hold his chin, trying to think what that meant.

"She will die, of course." O flatly answered, "There's a great difference between 'do any element' and 'do any element at the same time, Gin. Both are just different."

Gin nodded, understanding what O meant, 'Damn, this god is really something else.'

Gin didn't have doubts after hearing those words from O. Just seeing the god making those elements like it's nothing raised his opinion about O, even thinking that the slave thingy earlier will not bad thing at all.

'Hey, wait a moment...; Gin mused as a sudden thought enter his mind, making him draw a faint smile, 'If I have this kind of power, maybe, just maybe, I can get lots of money in my hands and rest my body until I died. Yes... that's the thing! That would be good!',

'Ugh, this bastard…' O disgustingly said inwardly, clearly reading Gin's thoughts before continuing, "Anyway, Gin. I'm explaining this to you because it is important. I'm not trying to show off or anything. So guess, why would I say this all to you?"

Gin then nod his head and began to think about the things that O had said.

Recalling everything and thinking much information that entered his head, Gin couldn't find an answer. No, it felt like it was cray to follow a thought of a god in the first place.

But, instead of being hurt about it, Gin decided to use this chance to joke around with O, trying to give the god a good image of him.

Smiling faintly, Gin smiled faintly before bowing his head, saying, "This lowly being mind is not a match for a supreme being like you. So please, tell the answer you come up from your genius-no, from your incredible, wise mind and blessed the airs of this ant in your eyes, Oh, Supreme Being."

"Pft..." O let out a short laugh, continuing, "Stop with the flattery. That's too much.

Although Gin heard the monotonous voice ordering him to stop, it sounded a little happy which made him also be glad.

'Hehehe, jackpot.' Gin mused evilly before hearing O once again.

"Actually, what we are going to do today is really simple."

Snap!

With a sound of a snap from O followed out by a poof, many clanging sounds could be heard on Gin's consciousness.

"We're going to build your consciousness, kid!" O monotonously said with a faint excitement which made Gin dumbfounded.

Gin thought it was crazy enough that O was becoming excited but what even made it all crazier was the words that O had just let out.

Gin started to repeat the words inside his head like a videotape before he blurted his thoughts out loud as it was really confusing, "Huh…? Wait… what...? Building my consciousness is something I already have... Huh...?"

Instead of answering Gin, O continued which made Gin even more confused.

"Oh! Correction. I think you misunderstood that since you already have consciousness." O paused, "What we're going to do is to decorate this whole white room, in the way you like it."

Gin stares at the building tools floating, alongside the color paints. He moved his eyes on O before he decided to break the silence.

"O... you're not joking, right? Decorate my consciousness? Is it even related to locking my consciousness and stopping the leakage of my soul in the first place?" Gin asked with doubt but still a respectful tone.

"Kid… kid. Do you think I'm joking?" O paused, "Decorating your consciousness will not only not do one good thing but two. Yes, it is the locking and the leakage of your soul. The thing is, this large room is the passageway through your soul and to the real one."

"Remember when I discussed soul and consciousness? A house with no door, making me easily pass through your mind. Now, what if you decorate it and build something on it?" O spoke, trying to make it logical as possible but the only thing O got was the confused expression from Gin.

O sighed, "Ok, we'll still use the house as an example. Kuhum, again, a house with no doors or anything designed like this whole white place. Now, if you try to build it like a normal house, it must have a window, door, and things that are needed so that your house will be a... house."

O say a nod from Gin before continuing, "Now, I'll apply it in consciousness. Imagine your real soul is the word 'you' and you are inside the house. If you build and decorate your consciousness, will you get out or can someone can get inside here? No, because only you will have access to it. This is your leakage of soul."

Although it was confusing to Gin, he somehow managed to get the gist of it.

"Slowly, as you build your passageway to the soul, this place will eventually close, making your soul and real soul be locked. This is your consciousness will be coming. It was also the reason why you needed a day to build this. Why?"

O paused, "Because decorating your consciousness will be a hard one. You will have to think about what will you decorate. Adding to that, this thing is also a one-time decorating. Well... it could be replaced when your consciousness has been cracked with your soul started to leak again, but you don't need to learn it now."

O fakes a cough. "Kuhum, I only said scary things so let's go on the advantages. This decorating will help you relax and practice something in here. You know, you can do everything and it's up to you how you use it."

O took a building tool and added, "Also, the reason why am I here is that I want to help you. Assist you with the best of my abilities so just make your imagination run wild."

Gin listened carefully and thought O was almost done with its talking. "One more thing. After you decorate it, a door would appear in this place with that being your entry and exit towards the outside and inside."

Noticing O was finished, Gin let out a long sigh and wiped the sweat on his eyes, "This... is unbelievable."

"Yup, I know I know. But it is fun, Gin. Come on." O excitedly said which Gin noticed.

"Ok O. I got it." Gin answered as he began to scan the room,

Analyzing its structure, its size is not too large and small, medium per see. It had a size of a large room and it was really a place where people can relax.

"Decorating, huh. I don't know anything about fashion, but I have something on mind." Gin said while catching one floating paint in the air.

"Then what are you for? Let's go, Gin. Let's see what you have in mind!"

Gin nodded before he began to order O about the things he wanted to do and don't. O agreed as it was all Gin's decision to design what kind of place does he want.

As time went on, O started to feel something as he watched Gin decorating his consciousness.

'This guy has no fashion sense.' O mused inwardly as it silently waited for the results to come.

One day later.

Gin had a satisfied smile on his face as he watch his consciousness. O, on the other, look at it before letting out a disappointed sigh from its mouth.

"I-I kind of expect that this will be good but... it's below it. It is also dull and seems to be a boring place to relax."
