Chapter 012 | I did a bad thing...

"This is my lovely wife… only god how she puts up with me, and this little girl," Kai said as Zinon walked in the room. "Is my daughter" He finished his words showing Zinon the little girl in his arms.

"Nice to meet you both" Zinon said with a smile as he bowed toward Kai's wife and smiled softly at the curious little girl.

Obj. 3: Kill Mr. Yaoyorozu's right-hand man

Optional Obj. 2: Kill all of Mr.Yaoyorozu's right-hand family and leave fake evidence of an outrage.

'I… don't know what to choose… Damn you Kai for being such a good guy!' Zinon was calm and collected on the outside as his body basically went into autopilot throughout the night. Dinner, talking about things that didn't matter, and staying the night.

Zinon wasn't sure how, but he was sleeping over now, he hadn't heard or acknowledged anything that had happened for the past 12 hours. It was now 6 Am… And he had a decision to make.

'Kill Kai… That's something I need to do for those rewards… I can skip it and just do the other things… but… +5 in luck… a skill turns to Max… I… I don't know'

Zinon was conflicted, Kai and him weren't that close, hell he had already planned to kill him anyway. The only problem was the family… the rewards to kill them and leave evidence that Kai did it was… tempting to say the least.

"Crap… When did I start caring about others?" Zinon muttered to himself as he opened his eyes at 6:30 Am. It was still early where no one was awake… It was time…

Zinon searched the house using [Shadow Step] and saw everything he would need to use. First were gloves, he quickly put them on and let out a breath as he summoned the Astral Dagger. He had already made sure there were no cameras around the house, and to his surprise there was only one looking over Kai's daughter. It was easy evidence that he hadn't touched her.

Kai had told him her name… but he hadn't bothered to remember. "I'm sorry… It'll be over peacefully…" Zinon said to himself before his trait kicked in and he felt no more guilt as he cut a gas line, letting it flow throughout the house.

All Zinon had to do now was make a spark with the stove, and the house would blow to hell. There was one more thing he needed to do. "What are you doing kiddo?" Kai asked, coming out of the hall rubbing his eyes looking tired. He then stopped and smelled the air… something was off about it…

"You smell it don't you… I closed all the windows and such… It'll be a clean and easy death… hell… Your daughter is probably dead by now…" Zinon said leaning against the stove and looking at Kai with a smirk. He was using his acting skills of course, he didn't want to do this… but rewards were too tempting and he had already gone this far.

"You…" Kai's expression dropped as he looked at the remorseful teen standing there checking the time. He was slowly losing Hp due to the gas, which meant that the little girl he had seen earlier was dead for sure.

"I… don't feel a thing" Zinon said with a sigh as Kai rushed to the back of the house to check on his wife first, then he would check on his daughter. "Nooooooooooooooo!!!"

Zinon heard Kai's heartbreaking bloodcurdling scream from the living room, Kai had seen his wife dead, along with his daughter, both dead from the gas. Zinon had thought farther than simply blowing the house up leaving no evidence. There was one camera, the one overlooking his daughter… at least… hidden ones.

Using the obviously placed camera, he had put it facing the hallway, so all they could see was an enraged Kai walking down it. Now he had all the evidence he would need to get out of it. Of course, he would make it seem as if he was running from a crazy enraged Kai in the camera, but he would need to taunt the man first.

The camera picked up no sound, only video so he would be fine for him to say what he wants. "What's the matter Kai?... wife dead… daughter dead… all because of you" he said with no emotion on his face as Kai stopped with a shocked look.

"What?!" He yelled angrily and continued walking, perfect for the camera to see him chasing Zinon. Zinon, per his acting skills, Acted scared all of a sudden as he backed up into the hallway, letting Kai come into view of the camera.

"I can jump out the window now…" Zinon suddenly said as he was far enough in the hallway to not be seen. Jumping to the right just as he pulled a small string connected to the stoves dials. As soon as the spark lit, the house blew up, blasting Zinon away and causing him to lose most of his Hp, but he was alive at least… and… sleepy…

Momo couldn't sleep. As Zinon had said he wouldn't be back until they met at the theater, but still, that made her even more nervous. What if he didn't like her dress? Or the way she did her hair?

As morning came around she quickly went and sat at the table, ready to start the plan she and her mother had made to get her father to not notice she was gone.

First things first was something called an Aphrodisiac, which was poured into his morning coffee by Mrs.Yaoyorozu in order to get him in the mood. Though this morning didn't go as she had planned… or hoped.

"What do you mean dead! He and the kid were perfectly fine yesterday?!.. What? God damn it, I'll be at the hospital to clear things up… the kid should be able to tell us what happened…" Mr Yaoyorozu said, walking past the table with his phone to his ear.

After hanging up he looked at the two confused women and sighed, "Zinon and Kai were in an accident in the next town over… Kai… and his family… didn't make it" Mr. Yaoyorozu choked up as he said the last part before shaking his head and starting to walk off again.

"Wait dear, we said that we would treat Zin as our own child, I am coming and so is Momo" Mrs.Yaoyorozu said without any hesitation as they both got up and started walking with him.

Instead of denying, Mr.Yaoyorozu smiled almost gratefully as they left the house. He was devastated to hear about Kai, but at the very least Zinon was alive…

Momo, her face pale and her heart beating 100 miles an hour as they reached the hospital a few hours later, quickly ran into the hospital building with her two parents and demanded an escort to Zinon's hospital room.

They were immediately escorted there after verifying that Mr. Yaoyorozu had indeed adopted him legally, a surprise he hadn't shown Zinon as he was waiting for tonight when he returned home.

"Zinon!" Momo couldn't help but yell as the hospital door was opened for them and they saw the boy looking out the window with no expression on his face.

"Thank goodness you seem to be okay… what happened kid?" Mr.Yaoyorozu said, tapping his foot against the floor as Zinon looked up. "Kai… betrayed you…" Zinon said with a sad and also angry look on his face…
