Chapter 32: New Soldiers

Just as Langress had said, after they crossed a large mountain, there was another forest on the other side and in the distance the silhouette of a huge castle. Lancerlord pointed towards the castle and said:

"There it is, Cassandra Castle, we're here."

Langress replied dejectedly:

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

Lancerlord also noticed the riders approaching the castle, he said:

"Woah, there's a lot of people joining the New Hope faction too, we should go too..."

Lancerlord saw how quickly Langress had run down. Langress said:

"Hey, don't be late."

Lancerlord also rushed after Langress. Having lived in the woods for a long time, Langress could flexibly move through tree branches and move faster than squirrels or birds. Lancerlord just ran below and he was so amazed at Langress's abilities, he thought to himself:

"Having him here, hopefully will be a good force for us."

Soon, Langress and Lancerlord were at Cassandra castle. There were already a lot of soldiers, Hybrids and vampires already here and waiting in line to register. Langress and Lancerlord were waiting their turn, Lancerlord said:

"Well, I think we'll have to wait a long time."

Langress ran out of patience, he said excitedly:

"Then let's save time."

Langress casually cut out of the line and went straight to the front to everyone's surprise. Lancerlord hurried after him and said nervously:

"Hey, don't do that. Argh, I should've known this was going to happen."

There was someone filling out information for new soldiers and Langress slammed his hand on the table and said:

"Hey, I heard you're recruiting. I'm looking to join right now."

The receptionist replied:

"Sorry but wait in line until it's your turn."

Langress thrust his sword so hard through the table that it broke in two and said proudly:

"I don't have to wait, I want to start now."

Everyone was afraid to retreat from Langress. Suddenly a silver knight ran up to Langress and shouted angrily:

"Hey! Are you planning to mess up here?!"

He drew his sword and stabbed at Langress. But Langres was faster and he raised his sword to easily stop the stab, he said:

"Ho ho, I rarely meet someone so fast."

Everyone was surprised at the ability of Langress but suddenly the receptionist shouted in panic:

"You dare! It's Sir Galan Rewart of the New Hope faction, Nordic's Fastest Blade."

Langress replied curiously:

"Huh? Who?"

Galan quickly thrust his sword even harder but still couldn't repel Langress, he thought in surprise:

"How?!"

Langress said arrogantly:

"My turn."

Lancerlord ran faster and shouted:

"No! Don't do that!"

Langress quickly slipped behind Galan without his knowledge and swung his sword at his back. Galan couldn't dodge and Langress didn't hesitate to kill him. Suddenly a big man came out of nowhere and threw Langress into a wooden house. Lancerlord suddenly stopped and Galan fell to the ground, he said:

"Oh my! Thank you, Langress."

People started talking to each other about the man, one of them said loudly:

"That's... That's... Langress Mcloucht, The Great Hybrid!"

That man's name was Langress Mcloucht, he was big, muscular, his eyes were red and had white hair. But his most striking feature was a long scar on his face past his right eye. This was the original Langress, successor to the title Langress Mcloucht, a great warrior of the Hybrids. Langress 1 (temporarily calling him that to avoid confusion with the main Langress) lifted Galan up and said:

"Who was that guy just now?"

Galan replied:

"I don't know, maybe a rookie or worse, a Predator Vampires. He went to the front line and planned to make a ruckus if no one listened to him."

Langress 1 said:

"If that's the case, I'll have to try and ask him out."

Lancerlord hurried over and said in exhaustion:

"Sorry sir...*coughs*... He followed me here, I'm sorry for what happened."

Langress 1 replied calmly:

"Who are you, young man? And tell me who it is?"

Lancerlord said:

"My name is Lancerlord Ambyx, and that... can be called my companion. He is a feral Hybrid living in the forest on the other side of the mountain. Please believe me, he's not an enemy, he saved me from the Predator Vampires on the way here."

Langress 1 replied:

"Calm down Lancerlord, I see what you mean and I know you are honest. But your friend intends to attack our men, I want to check on him first."

Suddenly there was a crash in the house where Langress was thrown, everyone looked nervously in that direction and he came out with a broken rib and left arm. Langress gasped and said excitedly:

"Hahaha, it's been a while since I've felt this excited. You're stronger than a bear."

Langress quickly healed all wounds to everyone's surprise. Langress 1 said in confusion:

"This recovery speed, is he really a Hybrid?"

Lancerlord replied:

"He's a half-vampire, half-werewolf Hybrid."

Langress 1 said:

"What is He? Impossible, such a powerful Hybrid cannot exist."

Langress gripped the Alpha God sword and pointed it at Langress 1 and said arrogantly:

"Hey, listen, guy. I want to beat you, if I win, I'll join the New Hope faction right?"

Galan drew his sword and replied angrily:

"Shut up beast. I'll defeat you right here."

But Langress 1 stopped Galan and said calmly:

"No Galan, if he wants a fight, I'll give it to him. If I can't kill him, I don't want the Predators to have a chance to have such a powerful living weapon. Everyone back off quickly!"

Galan nodded and he and Lancerlord backed away quickly, leaving a large area for Langress and Langress 1 to fight. Langress 1 drew his sword and said:

"The rule is very simple, if I let my sword touch your body three times, you lose and your life is mine. Otherwise, you will join the New Hope faction and my life is yours."

Langress spinned his sword and replied arrogantly:

"I just need to kill you and it'll be over."

Langress just finished his sentence and immediately rushed forward without thinking. Langress 1 tried to quickly find Langress's weak points but it was too difficult due to his speed. Langress jumps high and slashes down, but Langress 1 stops it. He pushed the blade away but Langress kept pressing down harder. Langress 1's blade snapped and Langress quickly slashed it near his neck. Langress 1 kicked Langress back and he promptly backed down. Langress 1 sighed and said:

"One point for you."

Langress rushed forward and said excitedly:

"I'll kill you this time."

Langress dashed faster and thrust his sword up at Langress 1. But when he got very close, Langress 1 quickly slid down and slashed at Langress's chest with his broken sword. Everyone started cheering for Langress 1 and Lancerlord was a little worried about Langress. Langress 1 stood up and said calmly:

"One for me."

But when did Langress suddenly appear in front of Langress 1's eyes. He swung his sword hard at him, but Langress 1 dodged it. But Langress quickly turned his sword back and slashed at Langress 1's back, he said:

"Two for me?"

Langress landed on the ground and immediately turned behind the bar to hit Langress 1. He caught his right leg in time and thrust his sword into Langress's thigh. Langress in pain and retreated, he pulled the sword out and angrily threw it away, then said:

"Dammit, Fuck! But I still have a chance, you've lost your sword. And that will be your end."

Langress frantically rushed forward and Langress 1 but he didn't intend to dodge. Lancerlord shouted:

"Watch out!"

Langress smiled triumphantly and swung his sword hard at Langress 1, the blade cutting the air in half. Langress 1 just waited when Langress got very close and immediately punched him hard in the stomach. Langress spat out blood and passed out. This battle Langress 1 was won. Everyone cheered and ran to cheer him up, some people kicked Langress's butt to make fun of him and Lancerlord could only watch helplessly from afar. Galan said:

"Congratulations captain, you've won again. And can I take his life instead of you?"

Galan was about to draw his sword when Langress 1 shoved the sword back into its scabbard and said:

"No, he beat me first."

Langress 1 then shows a small, bleeding cut on his right cheek, he continues:

"He was faster than me and I'll keep my promise. He's one of us now! A warrior of the New Hope faction!"

Everyone was a bit surprised by that decision, but Lancerlord shouted excitedly:

"Yeah!!!"

After that Langress 1 personally brought Langress to rest, Lancerlord was also joined the New Hope faction that day. And their darkest days had only just begun. The next day, Langress suddenly woke up in bed, he immediately angrily said:

"Dammit! Where is he?!"

Langress sat up but realized that his stomach was still very painful, he said:

"Shit! It still hurts. And where am I?"

Langress found himself in what looked like a military medical room. Langress stood up and he was naked. He saw that there was a prepared suit next to him, so he took it and wore it. Langress donned a jacket with the back emblem of a silver shield with the sun in the center and a sword embedded in the shield, the legendary symbol of the New Hope faction. Langress said with curiosity:

"Geez, what a strange skin. And..."

Langress discovered that his Alpha God sword was gone, he panicked and said:

"Where is it?! Where the hell is it?! My treasure!"

Langress was looking for his sword but didn't know where to go when he heard voices outside. He said:

"So the outside of this tree-made cave is to get out. Maybe my stick is out there!"

Langress kicked the wooden wall hard, making a big hole, and walked out carefree. The light shined and Langress stepped out to everyone's surprise. Behind Cassandra Castle was a very large training ground so that more than two thousand soldiers could train here. They trained physically by practicing swords, boxing, and running. There were other groups that train in archery or disguised themselves in the environment. But there was a more special team, captains or groups consisting of the most elite members of the New Hope army. They led their own legions and each had its own roles in each battle. Langress naturally wandered around the training ground, no one wanted to ask or do anything to him. Suddenly Langress found Lancerlord practicing swordsmanship so he ran over to him excitedly. Lancerlord was not paying attention and was kicked on the back by Langress and said:

"Hey Lancerlord, here you are."

Lancerlord fell to the ground and replied angrily:

"Oh dammit, do you have to do that?!"

Langress said naively:

"I lost my big stick, I need you to help me find it."

Lancerlord said curiously:

"Your big stick? Ah, you mean your sword. Sir Langress has temporarily kept it."

Langress, startled and angry, said:

"What?! That bastard dares to steal my great stick? Where is he?!"

Lancerlord tapped Langress on the head and said:

"Huh, it's well worth it for you to lose it. You're the one who messed up this place."

Langress got mad and turned into a werewolf in front of everyone. The Lancerlord was startled and dropped his sword, and said shrewdly:

"Woah, woah. Calm down my friend, I was just joking."

And immediately Lancerlord was chased by Langress right on the training ground. The places they ran through destroyed and messed everything up. Lancerlord screamed in panic:

"SAVE ME!"

Langress growled:

"GIVE ME BACK MY BIG STICK!"

Through the window of a room on the castle, a group of people were watching the scuffle between Langress and Lancerlord. They were the ten captains of the New Hope faction. Including both Langress 1 and Galan. A very large looking person looked at them and said:

"No joke? He's a real half-vampire half-werewolf hybrid."

A woman replied:

"With him in our army, we will be invincible."

Another guy said interestingly:

"Leave him to my legion. I will make the best and strongest warrior."

Galan said in exasperation:

"It's impossible to control or tame him. He's no longer capable of listening or obeying."

Langress 1 replied calmly:

"I'll train him in my legion. It won't fail or anything, I'll bring him back to this present world."

Lagan said in surprise:

"You're not joking, are you? He's a beast, a feral man, what can he do? We can only use him like a dog for this army."

Langress 1 said strongly:

"It's my decision and no one can object. You'll all use him as a beast, a weapon instead of a human, no one deserves it."

Everyone was silent, no one dared to argue anymore. Langress 1 looked down at the Alpha God sword on his desk and said to himself:

"You... Really what?"
