Waking up Vain felt the warm sunlight hitting his face. Groggy he rubbed his eyes open as his stomach growled. Turning over to lie on his back Vain looked up and he soon saw the pine needles blocking his vision from the gray-blue sky. As he stared at the sky stunned for a while he soon felt something touching his shirt. Looking down he saw an elephant trunk.
Startled Vain quickly got up and backed away as he looked to the large elephant with butterfly ears. Seeing the elephant didn't attack he let out a sigh of relief as he realized he wasn't in danger.
Remembering the wolves he had just fought last night, Vain looked at the elephant that looked at him curiously. Suddenly he realized something. If at any point the wolves tracked him or something else came near him during the night he would have died, but with this elephant nearby he would be safe. Although it wasn't guaranteed that the elephant was the one who protected him all night, it is at least a likely option.
