The morning entered fast and Marshall was eager. Now knowing the stakes of Polus and the pressure he had upon himself, he knew he couldn't fail. He knew that he had to get into Polus, by any means.

Stepping out of his bed, Marshall planted his feet onto the cold, polished hospital ground. It was early in the morning, so nurses were leaving from night shift, and more nurses came for their day shifts.

Looking around his hospital, Marshall ogled at a pile of clothing in the uttermost corner of his room.

Marshall stepped up towards the clothes. He didn't recognise them, but he had a fond feeling of them.

He got changed into the clothes and left for the hospital courtyard. It was a beautiful park, with green luscious trees dotting around it. A long winding cobblestone path, with work out equipment sitting on the sidelines.

'I gotta get into as much shape as possible. With a little bit of training, I can push my stamina and get my self ready a little.' He thought.

It was currently 07:00 AM and Marceline would come at 13:30 (1:30 PM). For the next 2 hours, Marshall was jogging along the path, making breaks for water and getting energy in between.

Even when his legs ached and cramped, he didn't back down. He was set on getting stronger, especially for Marceline.

After his session, where he strictly focused on his legs, Marshall could feel the regret of running that long slowly waking up. He had been standing still for only a few seconds, and the pain kicked in. His bones felt weak and he practically folded into the ground.

The cold winds swept away the autumnal leaves, as Marshall lay there, staring into the vast blue sky. The sun gently caressed his skin, as Marshall watched the clouds brisk by. A strong wind whipped through and Marshall closed his eyes.

That's when he came.

"Hey, you good?" called a voice from above. A white haired boy towered over him. Marshall couldn't do anything but stare into his beautiful blue eyes.

"I'm kinda stuck here." Marshall responded.

"How so?"

"I've just done around... I think two hours of leg training after waking up from a coma just yesterday."

"Sucks to be you," the guy said before resuming his jog around the park.

"He really just left me here didn't he?" Marshall thought. A deep sigh followed and he wiggled his toes hoping he wouldn't get 'Pins and Needles'.

Marshall quite enjoyed his time on the floor. He had time to think, ponder and daydream. To him it was peaceful, after just waking up.

Marshall could hear some footsteps approaching him. Thinking it was the white haired guy from before Marshall started cursing the guy.

"Hey you, rude guy. You really just left me hear on the floor. We were having such a nice conversation and your impulsive personality just up and abandoned me!" he yelled.

He had made a massive mistake. Thinking he and the white haired guy were the only people in the park, he obviously assumed that it was his mortal enemy who had just bested him. Of course, he was horribly mistaken as the footsteps he heard were a nurses who had spotted him laying on the floor from the hospital.

"What's wrong with you kid, I just came over to help?" called the nurse.

The realisation sunk in. He had just cursed a woman who came here to help him.

"Oh, uh... yeah so... I'm sorry about that," Marshall fumbled. He was all flustered seeming as though he had just cursed at an innocent lady.

"Nothings really making sense in my life right now, that's all." Marshall sighed.

"What makes you think that?" she counselled in on him, curious on his feelings.

"I can remember, basically nothing and after waking up I've been exposed to way too much and its overwhelming." Marshall was venting on all things going on in his mind, letting out a big sea of feelings.

"The good things are yet to come kiddo, look ahead at what's coming" the lady spoke.

"The only thing thats coming is an exam in the next 4 days for Polus and it does sound good at all." he said, sighing through the majority of the scentence.

"The exam for polus is in 3 months, not four days." the nurse looked at him, with the word confused written all over her face.

"Are you kidding me?" he spoke, sitting up hastily to stare into the face of the nurse.

"The look on your face is priceless, who told you it was in 6 days!" she laughed.

Marshall sat there, still trying to process what she had just said. Perhaps Tavares was lying to him, which seemed likely. Apparently, Tavares really didn't like him, so to stress the hell out of a newly awaken patient, he decided to lie to him, creating a fake burden.

But it didn't add up. Marceline also mentioned that it was exactly 4 days from now, making him feel even more confused.

'Are Marceline and Tavares working together in order to play tricks on me?' Marshall conspired.

'Marceline would never, she's too nice for that!' Marshall dismissed the thought.

Time flew by, while Marshall sat in his hospital room, watching the TV. It was nearing the time that Marceline would be arriving. He was restless, fidgeting with energy brimming in him.He had begun watching a show, that which he had no idea to what was going on in just to speed up the time.

The elevator dinged, and a large amount of footsteps skittered out. The sound drew closer and closer towards Marshall's room. Marshall stared outside into the corridor, ready to run out of the room and embrace Marceline. Though it wasn't who he had expected.

A wave of reporters came rushing in, with camera men, microphones and a whole lot of stress.

"Marshall Fendell, on the internet, the world knows you as coma boy, what's it like waking up from a year old coma,"

Lights flashed everywhere, and a blizzard of commotion gushed in.
