Seeing a smile appear on June's face it was obvious that Tanya wouldn't like what she was thinking. Goblins appeared and she's smiling?? Yes, definitely can't be something could she's thinking.

"Hey." Tanya refocused her attention after June called to her. "Don't you think this is a good time to practice your skills?"

The way in which June said it gave Tanya a sense that it was less of a question of whether or not she wanted to practice and more like she had to. Sighing as she knew there was no way out of this and that this was the first step to getting stronger and becoming useful, she motioned June to lead the way.

Peeking outside June checked to see how far the goblins were from their location. Seeing them about 20 feet away she called Tanya over as she slowly made her way outside trying to avoid making noise. The skeleton goblins stood around them in a protective way so that they'll be able to defend at any moment.

"Now you just have to feel the feeling that you felt when you healed me. I don't know how to explain it better. You were there to see what I did when getting Dave." June tried her best to guide Tanya on what to do but in the end was simply useless.

"It's ok I think I know what to do." Tanya quickly stopped June from attempting to guide her once more. In the back of her mind, she had innate knowledge of how her powers work since she got them. 'Maybe June just wasn't focused enough to realize this at first.' She thought while raising her hand and casting Veilcraft.

The goblins still stood there communicating seemingly unaffected by the illusion. She tried to make an illusion of a goblin attacking them. This was easy to imagine as she had seen how they fight multiple times already. "It looks like there's three possibilities. One, your ability has a range which would most likely expand as the skill levels up; two, they are stronger than you so it failed or maybe you didn't cast your spell at all." June whispered while preparing herself for aa fight.

Hearing the last two reasons Tanya shot her a look that could probably kill someone and June knew that she should take the hint and not doubt her. "Let's get closer and see if it works." June ushered them closer until they were 10 feet away.

Raising her hand again Tanya tried to cast her illusion while at the same time the goblins noticed their presence and started attacking. All three goblins rushed in and Tanya managed to do a half-formed illusion due to her concentration breaking but it still got the job done.

The goblin at the front flinched, noticing something coming to hit it from the side and turned towards the attack. Noticing the attacker seemingly disappear, it stood there confused for a second which was long enough for Dave to reach it and start stabbing the goblin in its neck. Following Dave, the rest of June's skeletons attacked the remaining two goblins, successfully defending their master.

"Well, it seems as range was the problem. You have to be 10 feet close or less for it to affect your target. That's quite dangerous, let's hope the range really upgrades." June said after observing.

[Bing! Level 2 goblin x3 killed. 60 exp gained.] 'Oh? Looks like I still get the regular amount of exp even though we worked as a team on this one.'

Stepping towards the corpses June checked her mana to ensure she had enough- even though she never used any after waking up- and got to work on building her personal army.

"Rise." Words never really needed to be said but it helps to concentrate on what you wanted to happen so she did it anyway.

She watched as the skin started to melt away from the flesh but soon a message appeared. [Bing! Skeleton creation failed. Max skeletons reached.] Looking back on the corpses she saw two skeletons standing with the green glow slowly fading away from them and one body there looking like burnt plastic. 'Interesting.'

Commanding all six skeletons to walk in the designated defensive position – Tanya and June in the middle while the skeletons were spread to the front, sides and back – they made their way back to the room where the girls would have a final discussion on their plan to leave the building.

I'm trying to do like every author and actually title the chapters but I don't think it'll work out. See you guys with another update and honestly good luck to the Americans.
