Chapter 2: Mod Has Been Activated

Ding!

A notification came into Alfred's ears. Soon a holographic window different from the one of his system's appeared before him with message.

[Your Infinite Supply Mod has been activated]

Alfred was baffled for a moment.

Isn't this the mod he created before he transmigrated?

Before transmigrating, he usually play an online game and the Infinite Supply Mod was a mod he created for easy gameplay.

Alfred thought of using the mod, soon a notification came in.

[User is a necromancer]

[Activating functions for a necromancer]

[Infinite mana activated, user now have infinite mana]

[Infinite storage space has been activated, user now have access to an infinite independent space for storing minions, and items]

[All functions presently available for necromancy have been activated]

The next moment, Alfred felt some sort of changed inside him and a connection towards his independent space, but he also noticed that, he could not access it yet as it is not yet unlocked on his system.

Without wallowing in melancholic thought anymore, Alfred got up from the couch and stepped out from his apartment and took a few minutes to arrive at the barren field behind his apartment complex.

The former Alfred could only live in this shabby apartment complex, as rent had become increasingly more expensive, because buildings that had high security is only where you won't easily die when there is suddenly a beast or monster tide.

Alfred hyped himself up, as he raised his hand in front of him and called [Dark Bullet]!

A small ball of darkness came to existence in front of him, much to his shock and disbelief.

Alfred noticed that he did not feel any energy loss when he summoned [Dark Bullet], making him believe that the mod actually works.

He also activated [Anti-life Shell], and a green aura that look like ethereal mist surrounded Alfred in a hazy sphere approximately ten meters in radius.He felt a relaxing and comforting sensation around his body, but he noticed that the grasses and the weeds in the ten meter radius was withering till they turn to ash.

Putting his excitement aside, he commanded the small ball of darkness to move forward before it exploded a few meter away from him.

With a smile on his face, He completely wiped all worries away from his heart, he finally have strength to at least protect himself in this dangerous world.

Alfred looked around him to make sure that there was nobody around him, before rushing back to his apartment.

As soon as he was back in his apartment, he calmed and analyzed everything that had happened so far.

The rank that was showing on his [Mana] was [F RANK] but he did not feel any loss of energy when using his abilities. Maybe this was the way which the mod keep it's existence a secret.

Alfred then decided to go for the hunter assessment.

A year after humanity had build survival base, monsters and beast surrounded the base. If they are left alone, they would increase and something called a beast tide would occur.

But never fear, Awakened are here to protect the base with their powerful abilities and great strength.

The first of other of business, was to obtain an awakened license that allow him access to leave the base to hunt monsters in the wilderness.

You need an awakened license to hunt because the government will not just allow a normal person to hunt monster. Everybody is needed to increase the population of mankind.

You can get a license by going for an assessment that take place once a month.

With the advent of the apocalypse, the population was still condensed. Almost every was close to each other, so the Awaken Center was not too far away.

The Awaken Center was located at the western part of the base, the place was originally built for the buying and selling of beast corpse, equipment,and cores to upgrade to the next rank.

Beast corpse can be used to make equipments, vehicle and new technologies. Since their skin had resistance to their former weapons of mass destruction.

Alfred arrived at the Awaken Center, the word [Awaken Center] was engraved on the building, and it was extremely dazzling. It was seemingly trying to constantly remind everyone that this place stood out from the masses.

The Awaken Center was vibrating with life, as long line of people visiting shops could be seen, with some even selling beast corpse and buying equipment and Cores to upgrade to the next rank could be seen.

Alfred walked into the Registration Hall with large strides, a young lady was standing at the receptionist area, she looked slightly older than 20 years.

Hello.

Alfred called her attention and told her that he wants to register for the assessment that is taking place tomorrow.

The receptionist was very welcoming, she asked for his name, address, date of birth, bank account information, and other related informations.

As soon as she had everything down, she told him the time and venue for the assessment that is holding the next day.

When Alfred got home, he noticed that the government had sent him a sum of 10000 credits for awakening. He started preparing for the assessment that was holding the next day.

Alfred logged into the Awakened Official Website, and bought the cheapest storage ring which was a sum of 5000 credits.

A storage ring is a ring made from spatial beast, it can store corpse and items in a dimensional space where on the wearer can access.

Alfred bought the ring because he doesn't know how to access his infinite storage yet.
